“This is the best place on Earth!” my dog Lilly says. Although she would be happy anywhere she has friends, this really IS the best place. The staff is nothing short of amazing; they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable dropping your family members off for boarding or daycare, and make you feel like they love your pets as much as you do. They know my older pup so well, and they know when she’s had enough and needs to take a break from the crowd. Communication is excellent- if they notice anything different, I hear about it. This is everything you want for your dog’s home away from home. So much, in fact, that after we moved 40 minutes away we still make that trip for playdays and boarding. I’m so happy we found El Rancho!

I moved to Bangor in July of 2022 and needed to find a new groomer for my Pekingese. On a recommendation from a friend, I called this place. Twiki was able squeezed her in to her tight schedule and even scheduled her for a full calendar year right of the bat. We were very lucky.Twiki is an experienced groomer and gave my dog the best cuts she’s ever had.With my Molly being so temperamental it’s been great to have someone so patient and loving take care of her every month. Record goes to show Twiki truly loves what she does and she is a great at it!So sad to have to part ways due to another move but Twiki let me know we always have a home at El Rancho.I cannot recommend her enough. We will very much miss seeing her ❤️

My wife and I have a whoodle (Charlie) who goes to El Rancho for daycare 2 days a week; sometimes for long term boarding when we vacation. And he knows exactly what days are kennel days from the minute we wake up; and is so overexcited to go it's almost annoying. Lol And then on top of that, when he comes home he is happy and exhausted. What else could you ask for?! He loves his kennel friends, and not just the other dogs. They have a great team of workers who care about every dog like their own. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place for your pet for daycare or boarding, give El Rancho a call!

El Rancho kennels is the second kennel that I have boarded my dog. He has anxiety and separation issues.. I won't bring him anywhere else! The employees at El Rancho Kennels are sweet and caring. You can tell they really love their furry visitors😁I wish I would have found this place sooner! They are super accommodating and understand that our pets are family❤️When you call, the person on the phone is always so kind and informative of how your pet is doing. My dog was very anxious his first night and the lady I spoke to on the phone was honest. She explained he was anxious (barking) and it is a normal thing. Nothing to be concerned about. I found that more comforting than being told "he is doing great!" Honesty is always appreciated!Thank you El Rancho Kennels for being what every pet owner needs when they're away from their furry family!! ❤️

Juno grew up going to daycare at El Rancho, along with our dog Moxie, who passed away almost five years ago. Juno didn't go as often after I stopped working, but she still loved her daycare and "spa" days, coming home happy and tired. Things got even better when Megan bought the kennel, and Tweakie took over grooming.Now we're only in the area in the summer, always searching for groomers as we travel around the country in our RV the rest of the year. Juno gets so excited when she gets back to El Rancho. Thanks to the whole El Rancho crew for welcoming Juno (and us) home with open arms every summer!

I boarded my dogs for the first time ever this weekend and I was very worried one of my dogs wouldn’t do well as he gets very anxious in unfamiliar settings. I called Saturday morning and they reassured me they were doing really well, when I picked them up Sunday afternoon they told me they were outside playing and they gave me a full breakdown of the weekend they had! Made me really happy and reassured to know they had a great time! When we got home both dogs were sleep for the rest of the afternoon, also a sign they had so much fun!

El Rancho is amazing! They communicate so well and they are so accommodating. Tiki is so knowledgeable and talented about grooming. Our pups look great! And Megan has the biggest smile that greets us every time we drop off the pups. We are so lucky to have them close by! I get anxious leaving my tiny pups but they do a great job at caring and loving on them. Thanks El Rancho Kennels! ❤️

I boarded my dog for 1 night and got him groomed. Even though he was excited to see me, I could tell he didnt want to leave when I went to pick him up. He usually is a nervous wreck after being boarded. He seemed so happy and actually went to day by to the employees there. I wish I was recommended this place sooner so my dog could have been going to day care here as well. I was also very happy with his summer time hair cut!!

Absolutely love this groomer! Have had a really hard time finding a groomer to do my little Maltese! Twiki makes my dogs feel safe and actually got their nails and cut perfect! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

The owner cares for every dog like it's her own from drop off too pick-up and even after it's gone home. She has the biggest heart for animals. Our animals won't go anywhere else. Our 10 year old Husky gets excited when she knows she is going.

My Foxhound Julie needed a place she could be her loud self and have a safe play time with out being forced too 5 yrs ago to currant . Elrancho staff are very compassionate and understand your furbabies needs and work on good socialation behavoirs . They also have on site groomer ( The best in penobscot /Hancock counties )They also do boarding . Best rates for both day care and boarding . well staffed and very clean ! My Julie really cant get enough of her school and comes home tired from all of playing and being kept busy .They also have a facebook page and regularly take pictures of your babies day playing . Highly recommended.

El Rancho Kennels is AMAZING! My dogs have gone there for 10 years for daycare, boarding, and grooming. The dogs love going there. As a matter of fact, they love it there so much that I don't think they miss me much when they are kenneled while I go on a trip.

Twiki is the best. Our dogs are a little skittish but they go right with her. We wouldn't take them anywhere else...
