We spent a week at this fabulous hotel, and I don't think I have ever had better service, staffing was phenomenal, always very kind & helpful. My friend is handicapped and they were able to accommodate us with close parking near our room, which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were spotless!! We will be going back every year!! Highly recommend! This is located very close to the Pier - it's right beside Palace Playland, and you can watch people hit the peak of the roller coaster over the roof of the motel. Despite being so close to the action, we didn't find it overly noisy.Rooms are steps away from the beach, and they offer beach chairs, umbrellas, and some toys for guests to use, which was great.The room we stayed in was quite small, but very clean and modern looking. The kitchenette is fully stocked with dishes and pans and has a nearly full size refrigerator and a tiny four burner stove with oven, plus there are grills by the pool. It was nice to be able to cook our own meals when we felt like it!Fresh cookies every evening, fresh ground coffee available in the lobby all day, and regular towel service were all much appreciated extras. The staff was very friendly and helpful.We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub, which were cleaned every morning. There is a nice seating area near the pool and by the grills, and a pool side bar and fire pit.

Had a two nights stay Thursday and Friday. Charged 300 plus for the first night 400 plus for the second night for a total of $830 for a two-night stay. The check-in staff on day one we're very helpful very friendly and very accommodating. I have a disability and needed parking close to my room and they made that happen. Day two staff on Friday made me move my car from a location close to my room to the complete opposite end of the property by the gate for the entrance. Mind you I had an ocean front room at the very opposite end of the property and have great difficulty walking. They offer no handicap accommodations whatsoever. I tried to talk to the staff to see if they could help to accommodate me and was treated quite rude, And they did nothing to help accommodate me further. I don't care how nice the rooms are or how good the accommodations are....? when the owner and his staff don't wish to help somebody that is disabled with accommodations close to the room everything else goes in the toilet. What started off as a good stay ends badly. I would not recommend this place to anyone with any kind of disability or handicap and certainly don't look for any help from the staff to accommodate you in any way for anything more than a swipe of your credit card!! I will never come back nor recommend anyone to the Beachwood. Hotels motels and businesses on both sides to the north and south and across the street all had handicap parking and accommodations for their guests! You decide

I stayed here for a long weekend and The Beachwood is the place to stay! I stayed in a Queen oceanfront room on the first floor. Although the dunes obstructed the ocean view (which was disclosed when I made my reservation), it was the best location overall. The room had a kitchenette, a full fridge with freezer, and a small sink. The bed was comfortable and the room reminded me of a cottage. You’re centrally located to the pier, arcade, shopping, restaurants, bars, and restaurants. The pool bar had a good selection of drink options and the bartender was very friendly. Having more space to store clothes, and more hangers would be nice. There’s a row of 5-6 hooks to hang clothes on. If you’re unsure where to stay in OOB- look no further. You found the best place in town!

Absolutely LOVE this place! We saw amazing sunrises each morning. The Beach is literally just a few yards away. The unit was clean and well-appointed - there wasn't anything I needed that wasn't there! The beds and pillows were super comfortable as well. The pool and hot tub were clean and at a great temperature. This was our second visit and definitely won't be our last. I highly recommend this hotel!

Our First trip to The Beachwood Inn & it definitely won't be our last! Location is perfect, steps from the beach, pool & jacuzzi along with pool bar! Summer crowds gone but still plenty to do!Walkability: If you are a beach walker, this is the place, 7 miles of beach!!!

Let’s start with the light show at night:When we were there it was from 9:30-10 every night. The property had clearly done a lot of effort to help keep the noise down in the rooms. Between solid doors/windows and sound machines in every room it wasn’t disruptive. What was strange was how much there’s no music or party atmosphere before that. And the pool closes right at 10.Overall it’s a confusing thing but we didn’t find it to be much of a problem.For the rest of the stay, it was a 1-star motel, but very nice. All the rooms were good with nice amenities. The pool and the beach were great. Honestly given the expectations for a place like this I should probably be giving 5 stars.

Stayed here 3 nights. Everything worked well, friendly staff. The self service Starbucks was nice. Breakfast would have been great. Not much counter space in room so you have to work with what you got. Only disappointed in they thought 30 min extra was a late check out. We had a 5:00 flight back.

Clean, everything here is spotless. The location is great.The view is perfect, pool is warm. No need to bring beach chairs they have plenty. Live music 2 doors down, you can sit on the beach and listen to the band. Not sure I would stay when amusement park is open but September is PERFECT !

Stayed in room 148, not exceptionally large but had everything you need. Kitchenette was a nice and the bathroom was great! Really nice accomodations! Parking can be frustrating whenever you come back from a drive. Otherwise great place!

These people are crooks. I booked a room on September 8th 2022 because I was in old orchard beach visiting one of their many bars, I told them on the phone that I had had too much to drink and needed a room. The lady on the phone took my information and agreed to give me a room.. I then walked there to check in and the guy at the front desk refused to give me a room because I was intoxicated.. they then charged my card over $300.00 after they refused me my room. Claimed they issued a refund yet it’s now 30 days later and I still haven’t gotten my money back. I am now in the process of forcing the refund through my bank as it was at that point an unauthorized charge. It is my belief that they put a hold on my money just because I became upset that they were no longer going to give me a room and I couldn’t drive. I was completely respectful even though I was upset and now they are playing games with my money just to give me a hard time. DONT trust these people with your card information!

The wifi was spotty, but it's impeccably clean, the staff is so friendly. The heated pool and hot tub were awesome. There's a shed full of beach chairs, umbrellas, and kid's toys for the beach. There's a foot wash shower. Every room has a mini kitchen. There's chairs and a table outside each room. Late September meant that many of the restaurants were closed.

This is an awesome place. We have the suite with Ocean front. What a view with everything you need on the deck. The room is filled with anything you would need. Very friendly staff. Had a nice light show with music in evening. Beds are comfortable. This is a must and you are right on the beach.

The is an amazing place to stay in Old Orchard Beach. The hotel itself is beautifully kept, clean and very nice landscaping. The pool area is very nice. Heated pool and nice hot tub. The pool bar makes fantastic drinks and the service is great, especially bartender Bill. There is plenty of seating and there is a fire pit. Beyond the pool area there are more tables and BBQs to use if you feel like cooking. One step from here you are in the beach. And it is beautiful! There are lifeguards on duty. There is a bar next to the Beachwood that has outdoor seating and over the weekend there was live music which added to the fun. The hotel is just next door to Palace Playland which was a cute amusement park with rides, games and food. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our group had two rooms. One was an ocean view two queens. Very nice. The other was a family suite above the office. Beautiful. It had a shared deck and beautiful ocean views. The bed was comfy and each room had its own white noise machine. Like the whole property, the rooms were very clean. It was a lovely trip and we all can’t wait to go back.

It was my first time staying at the Beachwood, and I must say that I will definitely be back in the future. For starters, I just want say that this motel has the nicest staff that I have ever encountered at a motel/hotel at Old Orchard Beach. They were very friendly and were always helpful with any questions that I had. Not once did I feel like i was nuance to the staff.Now onto the rooms. The room I had was small but had plenty of amenities that made it feel like home. Each room seems to come with a stove, oven, microwave, and a fridge. They also provide a set of cooking utensils.The lobby offers free coffee, fruit, and lemon water for guests that stay there. The Beachwood is also within close proximity to the beach, palace playland, and restaurants/shops. Perfect distance if you are old or have young kids that get tired easily from walking. My only complaint would be the beds. Not exactly the best thing that I have slept on but not even close to the worse. I would like to see the beds improved in the future.

I can't believe I am giving a motel a 5 star review but there it is. The location can't be beat. Right on Old Orchard Beach, next to the fun park and beyond that the pier. The rooms are small but they have a full kitchen, some pots and pans and utensils, and everything you need for an extended stay except for the food. They are also super super clean and decor is fresh and beachy. The staff are all friendly and laid back. We loved our housekeeper Gereen from Jamaica. She was totally on the ball and made sure we had everything we needed. The pool is sparkling clean and has a little light show at night (as does the jacuzzi). The hotel also plays classic rock hits after dark and the lights next to the rooms keep time. So fun! We had a major downpour during our stay so we utilized the lobby which has a ton of seating, games and two big screen TVs, and also a kids club with face painting and coloring. There's also cold watermelon raspberry infused water and fresh fruit every day. It ended up being one of the favorite days of our trip, just hanging out and enjoying the facilities. Awesome, family friendly, will definitely be back!

This was a pretty awesome little place to stay. The rooms were slightly small but it bad everything in it. A fridge/freezer, microwave, stove top/oven, kitchen sink, coffee maker, phone, ambient noise machine, alarm clock with USB ports and outlets. There was several outlets around the room and also had a heat pump/air conditioner. A TV with a full cable package and free wifi. The kitchen had cabinets with plates, bowls, forks, spoons and knifes. It had a knife block with all sorts of knifes and scissors. The bathroom was very nice with everything anyone could want including good water pressure in the shower. Outside there is a heated pool and 2 hot tubs. There is washing machines and vending machines and a ice machine in a private room that you need a key card to get in. The beach is literally right outback and the sun rise here was GORGEOUS. There is a light show and music at night around 8. All in all I loved it and if I could give it more then 5 stars I would!

Beachwood is awesome with the newly renovated rooms, music, food, and drinks at the pool with chairs and umbrellas for use steps from the rooms. Beachwood Bill and the bear make great drinks and is very professional, knowledgeable and funny. Great music and light show at night. The rooms have a white noise generator to cover any noise from the Brunswick or other rooms.

Awesome stay! Top notch clean, updated rooms with excellent service and amenities. So convenient (direct access) to the beach and easy walking distance to everything. Parking a bit tricky, but they monitor to make sure spots are used only by paying guests. Made for a fun trip and will be going back for sure in the future.

Very nice place for a family to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean. Short walk to the pier shops and activities. Beach is a couple hundred feet away. Our second year here, we have stayed at other places around here and this is the best we've found so far.

My friends and I have been coming here for a couple of years. Rooms are very clean and modern. We always have a fun filled week, the nice pool, hot tubs, bar and the beach just steps way. Staff is very nice and helpful. Can't wait for this summer, OOB ... here we come again!!

Very cute place! Very clean & well maintained. Right on a very nice beach. Poolside bar, hot tub, heated pool, & light show entertainment at night. Highly recommend!!
