85 $ + tax/night for a tent site? The tent section is a 3000 to 4000 square foot fenced area of the campground. The tent sites have no water or electricity. The rest of the campground is occupied by long term RV campers. The bathroom is about 50 yards away and has a historic feel to it to say the least. $85/night for a tent is by far the highest price I have seen in Maine. Considering the general "comfort" level, it is absolutely overpriced. We only spent one night there, and only because we arrived late. $40 would be reasonable at max.

Peggy is such an amazing manager. The campground has a perfect location, right beside old orchard beach. Plus they have free showers! This is a gem when you want to put your tent close to the beach, without having to pay for a hotel. Keep in mind that this campground is more « downtown » so there not a lot of woods around, although the big trees around help to keep the tent cool at night. It was a perfect spot to enjoy fair on old orchard beach! I will book again for sure

When we got there I was a little bit apprehensive because it looked a little shady. But I never been more relaxed in my life the staff was very helpful and nice. Wifi pool walking distance to the beach stores etc etc. They had nice little firepits you can roast marshmallows or cook some food. The other campers were nice and respectful it was not loud at all. We are looking forward to going back this year. If you have a family its perfect for the kids and mom and dad 💓. Bathrooms and showers on site as well. They we're clean and nice.

Good for what it is.... very great location walkable to the pier and shops/bars, but don’t expect much else. No cable, poor WiFi, bathrooms were pretty gross and they were working on showers so gals could hear guys talking in the bathhouse and guys had to deal w workers. No one there when we checked in so we found them the next day to square up, guy working gave good advice on where to go and what to see. Nice folks walking around and we felt safe. They have quiet hours which was also nice. Overall good three night stop and happy to find somewhere close to the beach.

We stayed here last night, during tropical storm Isaias. We were the only people crazy enough to tent out, and due to the fact that we had been traveling from New York we couldn’t arrange to stay somewhere else.Peggy was super friendly and willing to help accommodate us, to make sure we had a safe tent site.We had a site with a platform so we were above the ground slightly, trees covered the site perfectly; no big branches that could’ve came down on us during the storm, close to the bathroom; which by the way were stupendously clean!!!!!I highly recommend staying here, it’s a 10 minute walk to the town, staff is friendly and bathrooms are clean!!

Both staff were friendly upon check in and checkout. Sites are very close together but we managed to fit a 21" tent on our tent site and for the amount of time we spent on the actual site it was fine. Very close to beach and downtown area!! Quiet at night and served its purpose. Pool area was VERY clean. Washrooms need updating, especially the showers/shower curtains (There was duct tape on then to hold them closed)

Be careful they will take your money and try to find a way to kick you our. Their employee attacked my husband THE OWNER FALSIFIED DOCUMENTS and the employee is still employed and my husband was kicked off, we paid for the whole year just for them to torment and cause nothing but grief towards my family and my husband had to sleep in the car outside of the campground because of falsifications. Thousands of dollars were lost, they made false reports to child protective services against me and the case was immediately closed because of the false report. These individuals are horribly 2-faced, DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

Tried to set reservations however they will not let you stay here unless you have children because apparently couples are too “loud.” This place is literally discriminating against people, they are bound to get sued. When my boyfriend and I camp we are usually the quietest ones in the campground, while people’schildren are usually running around screaming. Terrible business, would not recommend to anyone.

Pretty expensive, because of it's proximity to Old Orchard Beach. I honestly wouldn't even call this camping. It's kind of an empty lot, where you can set up tents or park an RV. Zero privacy. And you're pretty close to your neighbors. It is clean there. Probably cheaper than staying in any of the nearby hotels. And it's within walking distance of Old Orchard Beach, which is convenient.

It was ok. They gave away our site to someone else so they gave us the site next to them. The sites are small to begin with and the people who took our site pushed the bumpout on their camper into our site. We have a popup camper and we were crowded. Bathrooms are small too, but the showers are free and hot. The employees don't communicate with each other. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing so to speak. The good thing about this campground is it is within walking distance to the beach. It was also cheaper than surrounding campgrounds but you get what you pay for. We probably won't go back. We preferred Wild Acres Campground much better and we can take the trolley to & from the beach.

I love here. I got a spot for the entire summer. The price was great. It's very close to the beach, and right next to a store. The grounds are very clean, and quiet. My neighbors are nice. Would definitely recommend!

The lady on the phone was hostile from the get-go, refusing to let us make a reservation because apparently all couples are alcoholics who don’t know how to drink responsibly. When I told her we don’t drink, she promptly hung up. Don’t waste your time.

Staff were alright. Campground does have a pool, bathroom with free hot showers. They also do a cook-out of burgers and hot dogs on Sunday afternoons. Campsites are not that big, as you have a mix of tents, RVs, and Campers. But it is just a short walk to the Pier and the beach, so it's not that bad.

Owners are very accommodating. Sites are tight. Good thing not many people were there. Extremely close to the beach and boardwalk. Might be hard to find, drive slow and you will find it. Have to use GPS. Well maintained. A lot of permanent units and seasonally reserves sites.

Allen, the owner is awesome. Very laid back place. Family park, nice pool and spots are good size. It is a family RV park and they do have quiet time from 11-7. Showers, laundry room, wifi, and cable.

This campground is my favorite. It's 10mins walking to the Old Orchard Beach. You're close to all the fun - restaurants, shops, cafes, arcade and the pier. The campground is clean, not too big and quiet. There's a pool, free showers and possibility to laundry. The closest grocery store is 15mins walking.

Staff was pleasant camp ground was over crowded. Could have nMade camp sights twice the size and still would be crowded.Biggest complaint I booked ahead online pre paid with a price fore 3 nights. Including tax. When we got yo campaign they charged again ghetto ore Maine tax. I ? It and they told me price didn't include tax. But originally oh discussion told me it did. So I was billed sc ounce tax. Not happy. 2nd Lee. It's not a camp ground. It's a mobile home park with space to set up a tent.

Yes, the place is small, but clean and safe. It is not a place that you would go with the family for a camping experience, but a place to take the family and enjoy the beach and other attractions @ Old Orchard Beach. Just a short walk (5+/- minutes) and you are on main street with everything to enjoy.

Let me just start off by saying every year I book a family reunion trip for my family of 10-15 adults. We are all responsible adults of 25 +. When I contacted this "Establishment" to inquire about camping, the manager didn't contact me back for two weeks and when he did finally pick up his phone told me "I sounded like a youngster" and they "dont like my kind of people" at their campground. Without getting any information as to who they were going to rent to he said by the sounds of my voice he figured I was going to be hitting the bars and coming back wasted. First of all I am a responsible home owner with a career, I am not some teenager looking to ruin everybody's experience camping. However, who runs a campground next to a tourist attraction like OOB and expects that people are going to be playing patty-cake around a campfire all day. NEWS FLASH- adults drink alcohol, even if they are with children, however SOME OF US CAN HANDLE OURSELVES......... We camped at Old Orchard Beach Campground last year and had a wonderful experience... it was just a little too far from the night life. Needless to say we will be going back to Old Orchard Beach Campground again this year and I highly recommend it over this Ne're Beach.Ne're Beach = RUDE, JUDGMENTAL AND DISCRIMINATORY

Stayed here with last minute reservation, for 3 weeks with a 27' Airstream. Love this location for walking or riding to town or beach. I was struck with how quiet it was in the campground at night and I slept very well there. The facilities are simple and old-school--which I like, and there is great hot water in the showers. Met alot of great people and will definitely go back.

First off, the sites are so close together that it more like a grass parking lot with about as much space between you and the person next to you.We reserved a spot, but when we got there at 9:30 pm, someone's tent was taking up half our little space and they had parked their car completely blocking the space. Camp staff tried calling the phone number of the people but had no more ideas than that. After I made it clear we needed a place they suggested we park in another spot but cautioned that we would have to move if that person came an checked in. So we couldn't actually setup anything and try to go to sleep because we might have to move at any moment. It was only after I made it clear that this was a terrible solution (they didn't seem to understand why) that they agreed to just put us in the other site for the whole night. If you have no other options, and it's not a busy time of the year, I could see this being a decent option, but packed full in season it was just terrible.Suggest not taking a shower if you can avoid it.I am shocked to read other reviews that said they "don't like youngsters!", because everyone else there looked like they were 25 at the oldest. Everyone stays up till midnight at least with big fires in their fire barrels and taking and drinking, so I don't know what kind of behavior they are trying to keep out by getting rid of the youngsters, so to speak.

Myself and 2 other people stayed here this past week. Sites can be a bit tight but the inclusion of a pool and bath house makes up for it.The camp site is SUPER close to the beach and many other things like the pier and several stores. I would stay here again!

This place only has a hand full of tent sites, they're not wooded, so there's littli to no shade. But it's in a good location very close to the beach and anything else u may need
