The hubs and I wanted to try something new and he found this place. Located on a golf course. Now called Grill 65. The Brussel sprout appetizer was delicious. It had roasted beets and candied pecans, great combination! I had the chicken parm and the hubs has the salmon. My chicken was cooked well and the breading was perfectly crunchy. The mozzarella lacked melting and didn’t have a flavor. My hubs salmon was waaaasyyyy too salty. They did comp the meal by 25%. Which should had been 100%. The atmosphere is very echoey and everything is white and gray.

Dunegrass Grill 65 is a great place to grab a bite to eat and relax. We especially enjoy the music on Friday evenings. The food is always hot and delicious, the staff, especially the bartender is accommodating and pleasant. Our daughter in law’s baby shower brunch was held in the Azalea Room, and the food and service was excellent.Highly recommend.PS the new renovation is beautiful.

Grill 65 at Dunegrass has reopened with a new configuration, chef and menu. The new bar arrangement provides plenty of seating for those who like to sit at the bar. They have added 5 TV's allowing easy viewing of several sporting events. The new menu is outstanding and the new chef is ensuring the dishes are well executed. It is well worth trying.Update 4/12/2024 Grill 65 is worth the visit. The menu is great and always changing and the selections are great. The chef is getting creative, I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with for the summer. Friday nights there is live music. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you are in the area stop by.

We lost a dear friend who was a member of the Dunegrass Country Club. The staff were wonderful. The space was perfect and the food yummy. I did not play golf here but the course looked nice.Parking was easy. They have set up chairs everywhere to sit outside.There is also a gazebo set up for wedding ceremonies.

We ate at Grill 65 Saturday night everyone had a great meal! Especially the steak dinner! The drinks were all perfectly mixed too. Server and bartender were very nice and attentive. I don’t know why the place wasn’t packed. We’ll definitely be back.

Food was great , service was also great! Bar manager that was there 04/13/24 was very rude to my girlfriend questioning her tab and whether or not she had one or not !!! Tipped my server , would’ve tipped more had he not been rude to my girlfriend!

Bar area is crowded. Huge bar for servers but limited space for guests. Attended a wedding there and the amount of guests easily overwhelmed the guest area. Bartenders had way more than necessary.Food was great for reception. Wedding area was huge and dance for was great.

The atmosphere at Dunegrass Golf Club was very nice. We sat at the bar and had a very nice dinner.The problem we had was with the bartender. Very unprofessional! Didn’t give us time to get in our seats before she asked us “what do you want to drink !”. Delayed putting our food order in ( people were eating before us that were seated after us). Never asked us if we wanted a”to go box”… we had to ask for one. When she brought us the “to go box”, she hovered over us waiting for the dirty entree plate! She then dropped the dinner check on us without asking if we wanted another drink or maybe some dessert!The restaurant needs to find a new, professional bartender… just my opinion!

Pro shop staff was the least welcoming human being I’ve ever had the misfortune to encounter. He seemed disinterested in our presence and almost put out that we disturbed his day by checking in for our reserved tee time. By contrast, the starter was friendly and engaging. The course condition was less than I expected but the layout was interesting and required considerable thought to make your way around. It’s so much more than stand on the tee and pound away with a driver. The greens were pocked with ball marks, why golfers can’t be bothered to repair ball marks is beyond me.

Stopped in 9/12/23.....food was good! Bartender not so much. She never smiled and pretty much ignored us until she was ready for us to leave and unceremoniously dropped the check without even a thank you. Why be in this business if you don't like people?? I've never been treated so condescendinging for no reason whatsoever. Get rid of her....

Nice carts, beautiful course. Challenging course for us. The women’s tees could use the same level if care as the men’s tees, that would be my only area they could improve.The restaurant on site was big, clean and good variety of choices. I’d go back to that course.

It's mind boggling that a golf course in Maine, after all the rain, is in such terrible condition. The T boxes are beat up, the greens are in such poor condition--basically, the facility needs to be purchased by a group who is willing to invest and maintain the grounds. With all the rain that Maine has received this summer, this is quite possibly the worst condition golf course I have ever seen. I do not recommend this course for anyone of any skill level, and certainly, I will not be back.

Definitely not a fan. Personally, from the perspective of an avid golfer, I do not want to play in a subdivision and the entire course is subdivision along with constant construction. Highest greens fees my entire 2 month stay here and the worst golfing experience. Fortunately I met some wonderful people along the way who made the experience worth while because the golf did not and the course was in terrible condition. I couldn't even say, well at least the course was in good shape, it wasn't - there was nothing to be said for the course - avoid it, there are far too many nice courses with exceptional things about them to spend an exuberant amount of money on this one.

As noted by others, the guy in the pro shop has no idea that he is in a customer service role…. not a smile, grunts answers to questions, just brutal. On the other hand our server for after golf lunch was excellent. Course itself is quite nice although a lot of patchy areas throughout.

The mosquitoes were the worst I have ever seen on a golf course. One of my playing partners had 30-40 bites below his knees by the seventh hole. The pro shop needs to tell people how bad the mosquitoes are before taking $91 for green fees and a cart.The water coolers were on the course but were empty. We had a 730 am tee time so it wasn’t because people drank all the water. It was because they were never filled. Temperature was 90 degrees at noon.This is the first review I have ever made on anything so I’m not one who just likes to complain.Course was in decent shape. Only reason for two stars.

Great course with affordable rates. Range balls are a little pricey in my opinion. Most facilities in northeast will charge $10-12 for 100-120 balls. Dunegrass charges $15 for a 'large'.

5/27/23 - one year later - I would give this course 3 stars. At check-in, the employee seemed very unhappy with his job. The tee boxes are still a mess and shaggy. The rough is still inconsistent with bare patches. There is poison ivy all over the course, lining fairways and near tee boxes. Play was extremely slow with no ranger. The yahoos behind us were driving on tee boxes, standing up while riding carts and obnoxiously loud as they waited on our tee boxes. Overall, we were very disappointed.We enjoyed our round at Dunegrass. The staff was very helpful and friendly but disappointed with the course conditions. The tee boxes were a mess and the rough was very inconsistent with a lot of bare spots.

Played on vacation. Compared to the public courses where I live this course is average. Beat up and burnt out right now. Front nine holes were squeezed in. Mosquitoes were an issue on some holes but not all. No starter so the kid bringing carts around told me to just go up to the 1st tee and join w someone. Woman in the pro shop was nice and helpful. I do not recommend this course.

The course is nice, and was in great shape. The guy in the pro shop and the starter could definitely be nicer. Neither smiles or even has anything good to say. If your not happy, why be there?
