Wonderful place to stay!I decided to do a little vaca away from New York and stayed at Sea View for 3 nights. I’m glad that I picked this place,I really enjoyed my stay. The room was huge and everything was so clean.Beds were so comfortable and cozy.Great parking, great pool. And can’t beat the location! Even though I don’t have a car it was so convenient for me. It’s a quick 10 minute walk to the center of town. Located in such a beautiful area so during your walk you’ll see beautiful views.Value for price is very good.Staff was very helpful and friendly.I had a little problem about check-out but they solved it immediately which I really appreciate. Thank you again Vinnie.Would definitely stay again there in the future.

Location was perfect for what we needed BUT it needs some serious updating. I'm not impressed with the smoking allowed outside your room- there should be a designated spot. Office doesn't open til 8am which is a drag if you want your free coffe before then. I agree with previous reviews- you can spend the same money and have nicer accommodations.

Location alone can't carry this property!Very disappointed in the condition of this property upon checking in. And even before arriving, I questioned a spike of $100 for just Friday night when I was staying for 4 nights, a rate higher than properties nearby. But, this is not even about the money.Web site photos are dated and are not accurate! I am not alone in this opinion this weekend!Upon arrival, the floors to room up on three flights were in need of much paint. Opened the door (that was missing paint as well) and was shocked at the very dated furniture. A wing chair with a patch missing, a sitting chair is from a dining room set from 1980 and not in great shape. The clothes area in the room had 2 hangers and there was no hairdryer, I found out the hard way after wet hair. Amenities?Landscaping over run, don't look on the sides of the property (when you go to the ice machine). Pool area has 2 tables with umbrellas, one knocked over. Chairs at pool are stained gray and very uncomfortable. There is an area where there 'might' have been a whirlpool that is now a concrete block. Put in a firepit for Pete's sake!Sitting out side your room, you 'share' chairs and the one outside mine was cracked/broken...plastic. Go to Reny's and replace!I could go on, lots of other issues and have pictures to back me up.Please don't make the $1500 mistake I did!!I will say, and my neighbors staying at the complex agreed, the cleaning crew is super great. That is my positive. The proximity to town? Great, but you can stay at better quality nearby for same price.I am not a 'review writer' at all, but on this one I really felt it was a bad experience and I am happy to back any of this up.

Stay away, there is mold in this old motel. The owner/manager will deny it, but we saw it/smelled it first hand. It was in the 'garden' (there is no garden btw) building, although in one of my friends room they could smell it slightly in the main building as well once we moved there. We booked 3 rooms for 6 women, 2 of the rooms smelled so badly, but one had a dehumidifier and strong perfume smell that got sickening during the night. We asked about it at first, and was told it was nothing. Not true. We noticed next day, when the light was on in our room, the double lampshades between the beds had mold spots all over and into the fabric, wish we saw that at first. So, all night that mold was next to us that we breathed in.The head housekeeper was very nice and apologized, but the manager whom I suspect may be the owner, denied it even though he saw it himself. We asked for different rooms over the parking lot and compensation for first night. He told us we could have left the first night and found another place to stay and would have given us our money back, but we didn't stayed one night, so he refunded our 'cleaning fees' of $60 only. Why they charge 'cleaning fees' on top of the regular room rate, which comes to over $300 per night for this low-rate motel is an interesting way to get a few more bucks from the guest. We let him know we weren't happy with this, as we spent the entire night breathing in mold and chemical smell, but he refused, and I've waited for a week and a half to get a response from him, he doesn't care. The place used to be nicer, I believe, years ago. It is now under new ownership and is run-down. The location as far as proximity to restaurants, etc, is good, but, you can do much better as far as lodging in Ogunquit without putting yourself at risk. Also, this may sound trivial, but there is no 'sea view' at all, thought he photos you see in the description advertise otherwise. Had he shown interest, compensated part of the money (total of approx $2400 for 6 of us) we spent in the moldy rooms and assured us that the problem was being treated, instead of denying it, I would not have posted this review. I will be reporting it to BBB or health department as well, so that no one else could become subject to sickness, as many people are allergic to mold and could become very sick. Stay away.

Not bad for the price but if you don’t like walking don’t come to this hotel. Ogunquit is a beautiful town but clearly just made for rich people. No transit, scooters, bikes, or affordable food. (These don’t matter if you got $$$ and a car.) However beautiful views and a coastline really unique to Maine. Also note they DO NOT serve free breakfast here just coffee in the morning. Also you are a 10-15 min walk into town and a 20-30 min walk to the beach. Conclusion: For what you pay you really can’t beat it. The room was plenty clean, nicely furnished, and had quality customer service.

Decided to do a small vaca away from Mass this weekend. So glad we decided to stay at Sea View. Matt was very nice at check in, got to the room and was surprised how roomy it was! Very clean, and our favorite part was how comfy the beds were. They have a pool which is also nice, but we were out and about all weekend so we didn't have time. I highly recommend Sea View. It's set in a perfect location close to restaurants. We will definitely be back someday!

My husband and I ended up at Sea View because there was nothing closer to Durham. The motel is nice, but things did not go well when we were given keys to a dirty room. I had also asked for a second floor room as we have had bad experiences all summer with loud people around us.I was given a 1st floor room and was assured that the people above us were quiet. Needless to say, they were not quiet. They got up before 7am on a Sunday morning and proceeded to walk across the room for 45 minutes before they finally left for breakfast. Also, the staff used a disinfectant with a very heavy smell. I am very sensitive to smells, and had to open windows to clear the room. And the price for one night was very expensive. The experience was just off-putting. Other people probably had stays that were just fine, but enough things went wrong that I just can't give a higher rating.

You can definitely tell that this used to be a motel on the cheaper side. And they have been taken over, renovated, and getting premium prices, they're only getting away with this because they can. Ogunquit Maine is a very trending fun filled beautiful beach, relaxing, food and drink vacation area. Many places in this area go for more than 500 to $750 a night. So to find something in a reasonable range under $350 per night, you get what you pay for. However these elevated prices are simply because of the beautiful charm of the town and the history and unity present here. However this hotel they literally put lipstick on a pig. They did their best to refurbish, refreshing, renew, and the pictures definitely describe it accurately what it looks like inside. However, this is definitely a motel, not a b&b or a hotel. So do not expect any bonus amenities. With the exception of the pool, and linen's service.Rooms: Room was definitely recently renovated. To bring it up to an acceptable level. However they literally just covered up the old room. Would was placed up over the old walls floors were just placed on top of the old floors, etc, etc. Like I said in my general review it was like putting lipstick on a pig. However the AC did work very well. Had no issues with water pressure or with room service. The room was definitely comfortable and had clean linens and towels.Wi-fi: The Wi-Fi was definitely sufficientNoteworthy details: Some noteworthy details to pay attention to, I'm not sure if this is a Maine thing, but they advertise a heated pool. I'm not sure what he did really means to the locals here in Ogunquit. I come from New Jersey, New York area, and heated pools usually mean over 80° fI think this pool was somewhere in the low 70s. Very cold in my opinion. However some people might find it refreshing, and in comparison to the ocean it is definitely heated. The ocean temperature was mid-60s.

My boyfriend and I stayed there this past Friday thru Monday. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. Charlie and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The heated pool was extremely pleasant, we made a point to go every day. There was coffee ready every morning that we had before we went across the street or 2 minutes down the street for breakfast. There are also 2 restaurants within walking distance both are very good. Downtown is literally a 5-minute walk can’t beat that, far enough not to hear the noise from downtown but close enough to walk and join the crowd while shopping or sitting and having a wonderful “Martini” like we did. I recommend this place for a long or short getaway. The price is absolutely unbeatable and make sure we WILL be coming back here!!

Wow is all I can say. From the beginning the hospitality was high. I asked if I could come before check in and park for the beach. They one upped me with " you can check in at 9am if i have a room ready" room was ready check in was fast and painless. The rooms where immaculately clean as was the entire property. Locked key in room they were there in 5 min with a smile to let us in. Oh and the pool was super clean and warm enough to hop right in and still cool off. I could go on for paragraphs more however ill do that after my next stay because we will def be back. Thank you so much for making us feel at home.

My family and I had a great stay at SeaView! Charlie was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The pool is beautiful and the location was great. Plenty of restaurants right next door and It’s a quick 10 minute walk to the center of town. There’s also a trolley stop right out front. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!Debra Buckley

Wonderful place to stay. Charlie was very personable and easy to talk to. He made sure we had everything we needed and was quite accommodating. The location of this hotel cannot be beat as it's a two minutes walk to two different breakfast spots, both are highly recommended. It's also just under a five minute walk to "downtown" Ogunquit where all the shops and restaurants are. Highly recommend this place for a getaway. You absolutely cannot beat the price or value.

Horrible. Our room was full of yellow jackets. The shower stability bars came off with the lightest touch. The bed is not a standard double (it’s more than 6in smaller - not much bigger than a cot). This is NOT walking distance in the heat. Watch out they charge extra for everything: $20/night per kid, $30 for a cot per night, $30 to check-in a minute early. Gross and absurd. We could have stayed on Nantucket for the weekend for what we paid here andit’s disgusting. WiFi is spotty at best. Upholstery is coming off chairs… gross. 2021

I'm truly impressed with this hotel. I've taken many vacations and can honestly say this is the only hotel ever who has texted me to check on us/if we needed anything/remind us of check out time etc. I found that mind blowing in the best way.A bit of a further walk to the beach/shops compared to other hotels but honestly wasn't bad at all and was nice to walk a bit every night/morning and got to see all the shops along the way. Also as a trolley shop too that can take you anywhere needed but we enjoyed the walk and didn't think it was bad at all- great location, very friendly staff, nice pool, nice clean rooms and the bed was AMAZING and so comfortable. Thanks for a great stay we will surely be back!

Nice clean room. Comfortable bed. Gas station conveniently next door for a fill up before you depart. Nice front desk personality. Serves limited breakfast offering and coffee. Would stay here again. Adequate parking. No complaints except carpeting outside room 31 is ripped and poses a tripping hazard.

We stayed here the second week in June. The suite we had was beautiful! Decorated in a beautiful beach theme. It had all the comforts of home. The heated pool was wonderful. Nice walk to town shops and restaurants. The owners were wonderful! Helpful with sites to see. And the place is so clean! We can't wait to go back!

Just got back from Ogunquit Maine. I enjoyed our stay at this lovely motel. It is just a simple , no frills kind of place. It is pretty central to attractions and beach...Bring good walking shoes!! The staff was super and went above and beyond to make us happy.. Felt very welcome there. It is SUPER clean and A/C was great. If I had to complain ( and it is a *minor* nuissance) , is that the water pressure in the shower was very low. But not a big deal. I would go back for sure! Thank you!!Oh, I almost forgot..the bathroom in the lobby was VERY BEAUTIFULLY decorated in a lovely beach theme! Good job...loved it😊

Great budget option hotel.I called Matt about availability and he was making and courteous from the phone call through checkout. Checking process was easy, he was super nice and gave us lots of suggestion on where to eat and what to do. Rooms are spacious for a budget option! Tvs, microwave and coffee pot In the rooms, and armoire and table and chairs were also in ours.A 6 ish minute walk to the mains streets of Ogunquit so great location. Im used to motels being kind of dirty bargain places to stay where I'm from, most are sketchy, some are smelly hahah. This place is NONE of those! It was a nice clean cozy place to stay for the night. We only needed a night to stay for our last day of our vacation on our way back to BOS. This was a perfect little stop, cute town to check out.The only thing I would suggest is to clean the coffee pot, our still had someone else's dried coffee in it. But I wasn't planning on using it anyways. No breakfast here but the do servee fresh hot coffee outside the office in the mornings!

Wonderful place to stay! This motel is just barely outside the downtown area of Ogunquit so you can avoid the majority of the traffic. It’s within a 10-15 minute walk to everything, which is necessary with the amount of traffic in the area. The morning of our checkin we received a text welcoming us and offering to text back with any questions or concerns. We inquired about early checkin and received a message back almost immediately explaining the early checkin process. When we walked into the office to check in they all had very genuine smiles on their faces and were incredibly nice and helpful. They again informed us that the texting comes directly to the front office and please text for anything. Our room was very clean and inviting and we felt incredibly comfortable. There’s a heated pool that was never overcrowded which was great. When we checked into our room we saw the cable wasn’t working, so we sent them a text message and then went across the street for lunch. We could see within 30 minutes Spectrum was on the property fixing the cable. They sent us a follow up message afterwards and informed us that it was fixed. We appreciated how much of a priority they put on finding a resolution for the issue. Every time we went into the office the employees were so nice and accommodating and we loved our stay. We definitely will be coming back and staying here again next time. Thank you!

This motel was very clean. The beds were comfortable enough. The check in and out was easy. The employees were helpful. The location is a short walk to the town and beach. The pool looked very nice. The continental breakfast was pretty good.

I've been staying at the Seaview for about 20 yrs and I've always had a great time staying there. It's walkable to the beach and marginal way, the rooms are clean and breakfast is good. The owners are very nice and Shirley at the front desk has wonderful customer service skills, love her. Cannot wait to go back and see their smiling faces

My husband planned a surprise getaway.....he read where the room description states quite clearly deep soaking tub...for the room he picked....not even remotely close....small shower tub. He was quite disappointed as it was a little detail he planned for me. Also, the first room they gave us reeked of cigarette smoke...they switched us kindly....to a room where the bathroom door didn't even shut....bed was nice and pillows were fluffy. That is the only compliment I can really give.

Very pleased with this location! The only downer was that the wifi wasn't very strong, so posting photos and what not was quite complicated. However, the pluses were: nice pool (hot tub very hot, and the pool was cleaned daily), beds VERY comfortable (we couldn't believe how good we slept), nice ownership (the owner seemed to at least know by face all of the current guests at the place, and he's a nice guy), not over the top (it was just a simple location you would expect in a simple, quaint, and tourist-friendly town, just what we needed in visiting Maine).Hope this review helps, we really had a comfortable time and appreciated the staff.
