If you are looking for a comfy, cozy, and reasonably priced resort in Ogunquit, you have to spend a night or two at “The Milestone”.The Milestone is a seasonal, beach-town resort. We drove up to Maine for a weekend trip and decided to stay at The Milestone. The staff was extremely accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed and that there were no issues. The first night we stayed in their Two-Queen Bed Suite. It has two queen beds, a walk-in shower, and a large sitting area with a couch and chairs. For those who like to enjoy their morning coffee, each room has chairs and a table outside your door. The suite was spotless and very clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were nice and supportive. The room isn’t the most modern, but it is a beach town. You’re spending time out and about, not staying in your room all day.We loved it so much we reached out to the office to extend our stay an extra day. Unfortunately, someone had the suite booked so we had to move rooms. No big deal. The staff met us outside and handed us our keys to our new room. The room was still very spacious considering it is not a suite. The beds were comfortable in this room as well. They do a great job of keeping the property in tip-top shape. They are also much more reasonable than some of the other resorts! We paid around $100 each night, which is very reasonable in my opinion. We wished we could’ve extended our stay ANOTHER day. Unfortunately, we had to head back to Boston for a prior commitment. We love the place. It is incredibly quaint and cozy.I would strongly suggest “The Milestone” for those traveling up to Ogunquit. The accommodations are spotless and the staff is very responsive to any issues or concerns that may arise. My only tip is to be sure you’re out at 11AM sharp. They have zero flexibility with that. The phone in the room literally rang at 11AM on-the-dot.If it was busy and peak season, I could understand. However, this was not the case. They even closed one of the buildings given the season winding down. They could be more flexible with this. I come to relax, not scramble to be out at 11AM sharp.Rooms: Rooms are spotless and clean. It’s very quiet, you don’t hear other guests walking around above you.Safety: Area and Resort is very safe. You can open the windows at night to enjoy the ocean without concern.Walkability: Ogunquit is a walking town. However, Uber and Lyft are available.Food & drinks: No restaurant or bar on site. Plan on going out to eat and drink.

Booked this hotel to stay in for a night on the coast. Ended up in the hospital having emergency surgery and they have refused to refund me any portion of my stay. I understand there is a cancellation policy and would not have minded a penalty, but to keep the whole cost of the trip is just beyond unacceptable.I sent them copies of my hospital stay, my surgery, etc. and they still refused any kind of refund.Definitely won't be booking here again.

This place is absolutely perfect. Clean, central to everything including trips to Boston or Bangor. I look forward to staying here again and you are a mile walk to the Footbridge to the beach. The breakfast is kinda lame with just bagels and Aldi cereal, but hey you eat for energy. THANK YOU GUYS FOR A GREAT 1ST VISIT TO NEW ENGLAND!!!!Rooms: Clean and basicNearby activities: Beach, far enough from the shops where you could save money :) , but close to the Omelet FactorySafety: Very safe and quietWalkability: Less than a mile walk to the beach

Overall, The staff were very nice. I was surprised that we had our room freshened without asking, since we only stayed two days. That is pretty rare these days. Our room had great air conditioning. We walked in and my kids loved it! Only one issue from me was that they did not use a fitted sheet and the flat sheet came untucked, causing wrinkling in the night, but this is only a slight annoyance. I would definitely stay here again!!!Rooms: We may have paid more for a "Premium Room" but it was excellent, as it had recently been remodeled!Walkability: We loved being able to walk to Footbridge beach instead of paying a $35 fee for parking. Also, there are several restaurants within walking distance.

A surprisingly nice motel, basic room no frills, but the A/C worked, the water pressure and hot water in the shower were great; especially after a day at the beach. The continental breakfast was lacking and the coffee was not good. The pool was beautiful and clean and heated. Sadly, the hot tub is closed; staff said they didn't have enough staff to maintain it.1/2 mile from the Footbridge beach 🏖️ so we walked it daily. Restaurants near by. I would definitely return.

We loved this place! Our fam of 4 stayed here for a summer week in '23. It's a short walk, about 15mins to the beach, restaurants are close, and it's a short drive or ride on the trolley down to Perkins point and all the great Ogunquit shopping. Only took one star because the road noise was so loud in the morning, but that's true of all the hotels on rt1. We definitely stay here again, it was great!! Also has free wifi which was very helpful.

This property is conveniently located around restaurants and Ogunquit-Footbridge Beach. The staff took a long time to check us in and tell us where our room was. We stayed two nights and we noticed the room had a strange smell to it kinda humid. The first night we could hear some laughter from another room nearby. The bed was comfortable at least. Upon showering we noticed that there was black mold underneath the wallpaper that you could only see if you were inside the tub and looked up underneath it because it was taken off or coming off from the wall already. The air conditioner was also very loud and kept waking me up at night. The loud sound made it hard to stay asleep. The price was fair for the two nights but I would have preferred to stay somewhere much better. If you are on a tight budget and really want to go to Maine to stay for one night this place is okay. I wouldn't really want to stay again but it is not the worse hotel I have stayed at. There was also a red spider that was in the room that I had to get rid of near the shower door. Not sure if those are common.

I read some of the bad reviews and I must of lucked out, I stayed one night in room 101 and my room was nice, clean and fresh smelling. Beds are soft and comfy .It was nicer than most motels I been to. The staff is friendly and helpful as well as professional. Breakfast was a good variety of cereals, oatmeal, fruits, yogurts, muffins, toast(I would prefer bagels or english muffins --picky me!) coffee, tea and juice. Not bad since its included in your stay. The grounds are well kept, The heated pool was open and not freezing as I tested the water. Warmer than I expected .Swimmable ? (Maybe 73-76 degrees just a guess). Didnt see the fitness center. I have no complaints about my stay here. Its walkable to the footbridge and the beach and some restaurants, Its further away from the main Ogunquit area, but not far by car. Quiet area at night. I will stay again. I liked it. Reasonable priced. I booked on a discount website verses direct with hotel and it was worth the money. Good place.

We stayed one night here as a way to break up a longer journey with an infant. We loved the location - a 20 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. The room was clean and spacious and the front desk staff were helpful and professional. Hotel was quiet even though it was fully booked. We'd definitely stay here again if we get the chance!

Stayed here for a few days, just recently checked out after a last minute trip planned 2 weeks in advance. Not our first although definitely our last. Our usual hotel that we love was unfortunately booked. My mother whimpered in tears when we went to breakfast at our usual hotel, due to the subpar continental breakfast at the Milestone! Lets start at check in… some creepy guy stared at me and my mother at 10 pm for about a whole minute before we were acknowledged and acquired our key. Was very rude and odd. Same man gave us our towels for the “heated pool” and by heated I mean freezing. Staff claims it is heated by the sun. If that doesn’t tell you something I don’t know what will. Jacuzzi was full of green slime and closed because of short staff. Now let’s move on to the room. Well actually everything was going downhill before we even made it to the room. The railing was so cheap and poorly installed that my mother almost fell on the way up. If you’re someone who needs a railing to go up stairs… good luck. This could’ve ended very bad possibly with a trip to the ogunquit emergency room. First observation the room seemed fine, but good thing we were prepared with Clorox wipes. Most high touch areas not cleaned, and a sticker was on the bed frame? Beds were comfy, nice bedding. Gave a very Bates motel vibe. Remote control had unusual sticky substance all over it and the channels seemed pirated. During checkout I walked around to double check the room and instead came across someone’s cheez-it’s from a previous stay right next to my bed. The shower was very wonky and took me 30 minutes to get the thing to stop making an unusual noise. Workout room unusable for someone over 6 foot. Personally I wouldn’t even workout unless you want to take an ice bathe in the “heated” pool because of the broken jacuzzi. Good thing we chose no room service because we cleaned the room more than they would have. Again just a very scuzzy and weird vibe coming from the place. One positive was that we had to go back after checkout to retrieve a lost item, and the housekeeping lady was very nice and found it, and had it saved in the room for us. Other than that, there are plenty other hotels of higher quality in the area for the same price!

I’m not sure why this is described anywhere as a hotel when it is very clearly a motel. For a motel, it was very nice and clean, but if you book expecting to be staying in a 3-star hotel as the Google info says, you will likely be disappointed. The breakfast selection was very small and only included pre-packaged foods. I didn’t see any hot tub or spa, as was shown in several of the photos. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and I was impressed with the bathroom. The best part was that it is a 10-minute walk to the beach. It was a good value for the price, but my family will be looking for an actual hotel next time we are in the area.

Room was small, dark, and dingy. The lights outside the room didn’t work so you couldn’t site outside at night. And worst of all the ceiling in our bathroom (1st floor) leaked at 10:15pm ( the office closes at 10:30pm). Someone came, looked at the water & ceiling said “hmmm maybe the room upstairs” and walked out. Never followed up & never came back to clean it up. They lied and said they checked the rooms next to us as well and those rooms didn’t have the issue, but jokes on them we were together with the room next door and they never checked on them. They didn’t want to make this right on any level, eventually agreed to 10% credit back….will never ever ever stay here again. There are much nicer hotels closer to town for the same price.

I was there for my birthday weekend. On the first morning of my stay, I had no hot water. I had to shower in my friends' room. When I told the manager, she told me that maintenance was refilling the oil tank that heats the water. The next day, the water was lukewarm at best, not hot. On the third & final day, again no hot water. So I go to check out, I see the same manager again & told her about no hot water. She gave me a look & said that the oil guy was there to refill the oil that morning, wasn't this done already? She never offered anything to correct the situation. All she said was if I had an issue to call Expedia & they would call the hotel. I did & all the hotel offered me was a 10% refund. I escalated the issue with Expedia but no dice. I was told that since I didn't prepay for my stay, there was nothing they could do as the hotel already has my money. Had I prepaid, Expedia could refund me my money since the funds are with them & not the hotel. Lesson learned. Rest assured I will never stay at this property ever again. That manager is horrible, very unprofessional & rude. The staff is nice, I feel bad for them having to deal with such a horrible boss. Stay away from the Milestone and their sister property the Tides.

Anywhere else NOT on the coast it is a cheap, 2 star motel. Outdated, loud window ac, musky smell and bedding desperately needing to be replaced. As for the area, during high season it is a decent place to sleep for the price after day spent on the beach. Clean, large rooms, plenty of towels, friendly staff. Park right in front of the room.

Clean room s. Hot showers and good pressure. If you like to walk you can walk down ocean street to beach. Walk along the beach then do the marginal way path to Perkins cove . Come back into town to route 1 and back to the hotel. A five mile loop that covers a lot of ground with great scenery the first 3 miles then plenty of shops and good the last 2

Unlike some of the other reviews, I found the staff to be very friendly. When it came to our room however it was lack luster. The a/c is located on the other side of a partition blocking much of the air, and my room was so hot the first night that I didn't sleep. There were cobwebs, fruit flies and mosquitos in the room. I understand that last year had to be a rough year for them, but presentation is important. I also realize that offering a typical breakfast is hard during this time, but the fruit was on its way out and packaged pastries seemed cheap. Again I thought the staff was friendly, but there is room for improvement.

Was put in a room beneath the stairs which meant that every few minutes I was subjected to loud clomping. Called and told the owner/manager, who said he’d check it out. I didn’t know what that meant. In any case he never came or called back. Called the desk twice more and he wouldn’t pick up the phone. Went to front desk and he acted like he didn’t know what I was there for. He told me there were no other rooms available which I knew was a lie because there is a vacancy sign outside the hotel, and both his website and expedia show 5 rooms available. Got back to the room to find bugs crawling around. Place is run down.
