Absolutely fantastic waterfront hotel just like you remember from childhood beach trips. The service at the front desk was awesome and the rooms were spacious with beautiful views. Our neighbors were super fun and we all got up to watch the beautiful sunrise. Outstanding town and top-notch restaurants close to the hotel. And how cool to have a beach-friendly guest wheelchair? Accolades!

My wife and I spent 3 nights in Suite 410! Had an amazing view of the Ogunquit river and could hear the ocean waves from the beach side out on the large private deck! The room was very nice and the bathroom was amazing! Heated floors and the best shower I’ve ever used in a hotel! Plenty of room for us and very quiet! We will definitely be staying here again on our future trips to ME! Thanks again Norseman resort for the wonderful customer service both on the phone and at the front desk! Plenty of parking and great path along the building to get to the beach from our suite! Loved it here!

We've stayed here many, many times. Perfect oceanfront location on a spectacular beach. Rooms are fine and we love the walk in showers upgrade in ours. There's an attached restaurant ( Splash ) for breakfast and lunch. Don't miss the blueberry pancakes!!Nearby activities: Beautiful beach...and in very few steps, you are on it. About three miles long. Another close and wonderful walking trail is the Marginal Way. The town and its attractions are also a short walk and, in season, there is a local trolley system to ride.

Beach and ocean surf are the stars at the Norseman. We took a Sundowner room at the front corner, second floor (211) of the hotel, and had the privilege of enjoying this spectacular front row seat to nature. Even in late October it was warm enough for some to go swimming.Walkability: Right on the beach and easy walk to town, many restaurants, stores and high end grocery. But that beach is the star for walkability- perfect

It was nice enough. Kind of weird sharing the deck with everyone on your floor rather than having any sort of privacy (especially since the rooms arent inexpensive), and accessibility to/off the beach from our unit wasn't the greatest (more so at night when you can't see lol when accessibility is important), but you really can't beat the views! Absolutely beautiful! If you only care about location, this is a great place to stay!Note to smokers: No smoking allowed anywhere on the property or the surrounding beach. There are some areas where you are allowed to smoke off property and off the beach in a small section for smoking, but just know it is not smoker friendly overall.(Photo is sunrise)Walkability: Right on the beach.Food & drinks: They have food establishment and retail attached to the hotel.

Rooms and location are fantastic! The only issue was that the people on the top floor did not consider other people are below and dropping everything.Walkability: Right on the beach and 5 minute walk to food and entertainment.

The resort was beautiful, and the location is perfect for beach access and food options (minus the Splash restaurant). The store is a part of the resort, and prices are outrageous. Customer service lacks big time in that store. They are on their phones having conversations and not paying attention to the customers. The customer service of the resort was okay. There were no recommendations for new people in the area. The rooms were like the pictures, the bed wasn't very comfortable. The view from the 3rd floor was beautiful, of course, facing the beach & ocean. Free parking in their lot-they'll give you a parking permit. They have wifi. You'll spend a pretty penny for a vacation here. 3rd floor also, be aware of seagull pooping on your stuff, and/or you. As well as random crab legs/Shells scattered on the floor. 😂Rooms: Were pretty clean for being near a beach.

We have traveled extensively throughout the US and have stayed at more Hotels than most. The Norseman is a cut above your normal beachy hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were more comfortable than the average brand hotel beds. The view from our second floor room (Skippers Deck) was outstanding. We woke up to the sunrise over the horizon every day.As for personal interaction with the staff.... The front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. We find the need to include just a couple of the very special staff at the Norseman to include our parking valet, Eric. On a scale of 1 to 10, Eric was a 20. He is such a great guy and made our stay there very special. Our personal Thanks go out to Eric. He's the BEST.Another Thanks goes out to the Norseman staff member Adnon for helping us lug around our excessive amount of luggage and coolers (with a smile). We will be returning to the Norseman as soon as time allows.Great place to stay and go back to.

I love the Norseman. I've been coming here for 24 years, minus a couple during the pandemic. One problem is that the rates have gone up 70% since 2019! The other problem this time around is the "live music" at Splash. I'm glad local musicians have a chance to make a few bucks, and that people who want to hear the music get a chance to do so. The problem is that those of us who have paid big bucks to stay here have to listen to it for 3 hours a day whether we want to or not. I pay a lot to come here for the peace and quiet and to hear the surf. I don't really want to listen to "live music". Norseman, I'm begging you... lose the live music!

The location is about the only thing this hotel has going for it. If you want to be on the beach and you don't care much about the rooms, then this is your place. Parking is super tight in the main lot, or you need to take your chances with the beach parking lot. The rooms are very basic. The carpets are full of sand which gets tracked into the beds. The beds are terrible - I felt like I was going to fall out of bed in the night because they are so worn out. The HVAC is an old "through the wall" heater / air conditioner which is extremely loud. We liked being on the beach, but will probably opt for one of the nicer (and significantly less expensive) hotels up the hill where most of the good restaurants are located.Rooms: Very basic and severely needing remodeling.Nearby activities: On the beach but a significant walk (or drive) to most area restaurants and shops and other activities.Walkability: Short walk to the beach. Significant walk to do most anything else. There isn't enough parking so you are not going to want to give up your parking space to drive anywhere.Food & drinks: There are some nearby (very pricey) shack bars and one restaurant that isn't bad, but you are in for a minimum 1/2 mile walk to go anywhere else.

If you want a stunning beachfront view, this resort is highly recommended. The view is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and the bathroom has a beautiful tile walk-in shower. My reason for the 4 star is due to limited coffee cups and k-cups. I had to go to the front desk for supplies. I recommended bringing your favorite k-cups. I would definitely go back.

This is one of, if not the only hotel in Ogunquit that is actually on the beach. The rooms are clean and have all the amenities (coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave) in the room. The on premises restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and the small convenience store is great for drinks, snacks or personal items you may have forgotten.

If you're looking for the perfect place to stay near the beach, it really doesn't get any closer in Ogunquit. The rooms have been recently rennovated and are beautiful. You're going to pay a little extra to stay here but it's worth it. I only wish they offered some sort of breakfast.Walkability: Right by the beach

Newly renovated! We loved the heated floor in the bathroom and the colored lights in the room. They upgraded us for free - great staff and great property. Can't wait to come back in the summer!

We stayed in a Beach Street room in late October. It's not an ocean-front room, which was disappointing, but the beach is steps away. The room was newly renovated - clean, with a bidet and a MAGNIFICENT walk-in shower, a gas fireplace, and a porch (the chaise lounge chairs aren't super comfy). Next time, we may opt for a second-floor beach-front room.

Very disappointed. Not at all what the website looked like. The microwave and coffee maker by the toilet seems a little Unhealthy. The Room at the River was very old and shower was disgusting. The bathroom and shower is nothing like the website and leaves something to be desired. They show you the updated rooms and bathrooms but that is not always what you get. I feel like I have Been scammed and taken advantage of. So disappointed .

This hotel has an extraordinary setting as the only hotel on this beautiful pristine Maine beach. You need to understand that this is why you are here and what you are paying for. The rooms are fine but nothing special, like a 2 star hotel, but totally functional and clean. Get one of the rooms right on the beach if you can, it's magical on a nice day.
