Love this place! We’ve been here about half a dozen times, most recently twice in mid-December 2023 for a special occasion. The food is always uniformly good (this time, lobster and spinach salads) and the service is always excellent. Javier, a manager, helped me orchestrate a birthday surprise and Horace, a bartender helped as well. The prices are also quite reasonable and as a bonus, Perkins Cove (right outside the door) is a perfect little stroll around after dinner. Do yourself a favor and go!

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The location is extraordinary. The service is perfect and the food is delicious and creative. The bartender John is personable and makes great drinks. The hostess, who sadly I didn’t get her name was very friendly and very accommodating in seating us. The waitress was also just as great. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had a wonderful, memorable, delicious dinner. The view is gorgeous.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a lift on the side of the stairs.

We went here for dinner for the first time and would absolutely go back again. The service was impeccable, the food was incredible, and the view from the dining room was beautiful. Five stars overall, the only thing that takes away a couple of atmosphere points was that it was quite loud with a full dining room, which made it hard to have a conversation. Still 100% worth it for the food and ocean view!

MC Perkins is a decent spot - but its also kind of silly and kitschy. You are given new utensils between every "course". If you want ice for your water - its served with a spoon. Lol. I guess serving water with ice already in it is too... bohemian? As for the food: I tried a lot of it. It's a mixed bag.Complimentary bread: Its ok. Very salty.Calamari: Its not good. The breading is very salty and the lime-based sauce pairing felt wrong to me.Fried artichokes: Good. Interesting sauce pairings. Good breading.Clam Chowder: It has unique ingredients but I felt it was bland. Poorly seasoned.Swordfish: Decent. Orzo and red sauce pairing is bland.Lasagna special: Very good. The best dish I had. Unique flavor palette - similar to a greek pastitio with peppers.Honey Cake dessert / lavendar icecream: Very good. Light and refreshing.MC Perkins is more of a "Date Spot". It has amazing views, and kind of an "upscale" atmosphere. If I could go 3.5/5 I would. But the food is unique and it has great views.Parking: Parking is very bad here. Limited and expensive.

Went for a romantic dinner out, got seated in a cute little table ordered drinks and… 5 obnoxious women sat at the bar next to us and proceeded be be loud and annoying. Just venting lolMy husband ordered the swordfish which was 5+stars, the main reason we went there. I had the lobster Mac n cheese. It was loaded with lobster, but the cheese was a little soupy.

The view was great. The staff were wonderful. The food was delicious. The quaint area it is located in has so much charm it is truly a gem. Service was quick, professional, and friendly. Families are welcome. Saw two parents and two kids there when dining. Great spot for any occasion, brunch with friends, dinner date, family outting, anniversary, etc. Prices are moderate. But the view and quality of your food and experience will have you leaving feeling like it was worth it.

First of all huge shout out to Dana, who was bar tending while I was sitting at the bar waiting for the rest of my dinner party to arrive. She was so sweet, personable, genuine, and kind. My evening had started out a bit rocky. She could definitely tell, and thanks to her, it quickly smoothed out.Something to note about M.C. Perkins, is that you 100% can not be seated until your entire party arrives, there are no exceptions. I was a little disappointed, as I had driven 2 hours to make a visit here, and was hoping to be seated and to ensure we got a water view. My party was late, and the seats were filling quickly.Dana ensured that when my friend did arrive, we were given one of the best seats in the house. The view was by far the most breathtakingly, stunning dinner views I have experienced. The restaurant is so incredibly close to the ocean 🌊. We could see boats as they passed and waves as they crashed. The food was top-notch. I ordered the roasted chicken on grilled romaine w/crispy quinoa. The meat was so tender and well seasoned that I did not need to reach for the salt or any other additions. The crispy quinoa was a lovely touch, and the house smokey, maple barbecue was an excellent compliment to an already phenomenal meal.I would 10/10 recommend. Note that parking is not guaranteed and runs about 25$. I would give yourself extra time to find parking.I look forward to returning.

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon, and the food was AMAZING! We both ordered bacon wrapped grilled beef tenderloin, and it was beyond delicious! The staff were courteous and professional, and they even specialized our desserts because we were on our honeymoon (see picture)! The view from our window table was beautiful. We would definitely go back here in the future for a fancy night out!

Had an amazing anniversary dinner at this location. The Bacon wrapped grilled beef tenderloin was delicious paired with the Cheddar Mash Potatoes. There cornbread I need more of. Definitely a place worth driving to. Thank you for a great experience.

Great location, and atmosphere. Nice but not trying too hard. I was excited to eat here finally. I wish I had enjoyed the food more. I had the beef tenderloin which was supposed to come with mushrooms and homemade pasta. Tenderloin was undercooked and lacking seasoning. Pasta was mushy and bland, mushrooms were maybe in the sauce? My girlfriend had swordfish paired with a medley of roasted squash, pearl onions, and steamed pea pods. Swordfish was dry, and the vegetables were a strange combination. Coffee came ten minutes after our dessert, which was also not great. A strange cookie with blueberry sauce and fresh blueberries called a tartlet. Nearly $300 with tip on dinner for 2, and we agreed it really wasnt worth it.

We came here for an anniversary dinner, and I'm confident we'll be back. We were here *years* ago when it was a different name. If the surf is rough the views are breathtaking. We had top-to-bottom great service, met kind people, had really good recommendations when we were stuck on the menu, and a nice touch at dessert time, recognizing our anniversary. We're long-time OGT visitors and walk the cove all the time. We're really glad we made it a point to have dinner. Everything was great.Parking: Shared lot in the Perkins Cove area. Just depends how busy it is (and in peak season, it is). If you are up for the weekend or week and staying elsewhere, skip the car, and walk. You won't regret it.

Best chips and onion dip ever. Went simple comfort food lunch on a blustery ocean day with deliciously crispy grilled cheddar cheese and homemade tomato basil soup. Partner had very fresh fried haddock w/fries homemade tarter. Vegetable pillow app would really satisfy a vegetarian. On drinks, good solid bartenders. Nice selection of gins. Only slip up, bartender at upstairs bar used cheap no-name triple sec in a Cosmo. We asked on round 2 for triple sec and he went to downstairs bar and retrieved a bottle.

The food was amazing, we ordered calamari, chowder, arugula salad, steaks, lobster and the duck. The “deviled eggs” were good yes, but they aren’t traditional. It’s a thin slice of egg white on top of a cracker, with a little yolk dollop, and caviar. Whilst the description included caviar, the rest weren’t in the description. I’d suggest naming the dish something else or more of a description! Will def be back though!

Special occasion destination. Unparalleled view of the rocky coast on the ocean side of Perkins Cove. When we were young and supple, we used to scramble out to the largest bolder at low tide to find starfish and periwinkles. Now we are content to take in the sights from a comfortable table with excellent cuisine. Treat yourself!

Fantastic dinner with friendly service. Prices reflect the quality of the food. Balance of flavors complimented each dish. My wife started with a fantastic salad that was garnished with candied pecans that "tasted like Christmas". Her main was the grilled bacon wrapped beef tenderloin, cooked perfectly. I had the Maine Chowder balanced for flavor and richness. The fish in the Chowder was still firm and flavorful, so you knew it was finished for order, not just sitting in a pot simmering for hours. I had the baked lobster mac and cheese. A great blend of pasta ,cheese, and buttery herbs that stayed creamy, topped with tender sweet fresh lobster. Save room for something from the desert menu or at least a specialty coffee or drink. They even had a date night special with a choice of entrees and wine (we were there in an off season for tourists), but we were enticed by the main menu. A great dinner, and all the hallmarks that they will have quality choices again when we come back.

If you get one thing here get the clementinis, they're fantastic. Peekytoe crab cakes were great. Lobster roll was just ok, bit heavy on the mayo. Location is great with beautiful view.

We have been coming to Ogunquit for 5 years and this was the first time we tried the restaurant. Best meal we had. The mussels were huge!! Just a side note, we went to the Cliff house for drinks and apps and the mussels we had there didn’t even compare. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the duck was great. Overall, very impressed and would come back. No dessert but we had an espresso martini. See you next year.

Will never be back. Staff needs to improve their attitude except the upstairs bartender. He was very nice. The lobster rolls very pricey and scrimps . Loved it when it was Hurricanes!

My wife and I were looking for a location for a rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding in October 2024. Lots of locals recommend MC Perkins and we really loved the location. After 3 voicemails and 2 emails went unanswered, my wife and I drove an hour to stop in to inquire about the availability of the date and costs etc. The man we spoke to couldn't be bothered to help us. He said that in order to accommodate our rehearsal dinner he would have to shut the entire restaurant down which would cost them about $12,000 in lost revenue. Therefore just to have the privilege of using their restaurant would cost $12,000 before food and drink. I'm not so upset at their policy (they can charge whatever they want) but the lack of professionalism and basic customer service skills were a real turn off compared to everyone else we have spoken to in Ogunquit.

Their lobster rolls are simply to die for. Top notch quality matched with a top class view. Also, the servers and wait staff were extremely polite and friendly.Made my first trip to Maine extra memorable!
