Neat little Old Time market in Northeast Harbor, Maine. They seem to have everything you need. Located on a very popular street of shops with every kind of souvenir of Maine that you can think of, Pine Tree Market has all of the essentials that you will need whether you are just passing through or staying the summer. Staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. Like something out of the past. It's nice to see these stores continuing.

This place is a total rip-off. Prices are often not stated at the product, especially produce, but also beer etc. At the cashier, you learn that they want to charge you $16 for a small bag of grapes. At Wallmart, you get the double quantity in fresher quality for $2.80. Shopping at the Pine Tree Market in Northeast Harbor is more expensive then to go to a restaurant and eat the same stuff prepared for you. A small container of blueberries was full of ants. Never have I seen prices this high and far off what things normally cost. As they are the only grocery market with a variety of things, they charge very unethical prices.

I went into the store this morning and picked up a couple of small Naked juice bottles that were marked $4.99 each. This is a bit more than they usually cost, but I was further surprised when the cashier scanned them, and they rang up at $6.99! I pointed out to her that they were clearly marked in the refrigeration unit as $4.99, but she shrugged it off and didn’t seem to care, and simply said “this is how they scan’.The contact lens solution I also needed scanned at $23.99- usually it’s only about 10 or $11. I left the store feeling that it was a rip off. I went across the street and bought a smaller bottle of contact solution for $4.99 at the convenience store.

Unethical establishment. The prices are marked on only half the products (insanely expensive) but at checkout you find out the price is actually more. A bag of coffee - marked $15.99 but scans as $19.99 at check out. We challenged the clerk, the response was “that’s what it is, the owner does not change the marked prices” No thanks.

Stop on to pick up 2 four packs of IPA and a bag of ice ($3.00). Never received a receipt but rechecked my phone tap, it cost $64.31! That's that $28 per four pack. Not even that great beer either.

Pine Tree takes advantage of the fact that they are one of the only markets in the area by price gouging and offering low quality goods. Their old (often expired) products are outrageously expensive. Don’t even go near the produce section.

I want to support local supermarkets, but Pine Tree Market is outrageously expensive, I bought coconut milk and it came out to $7 just for the one carton. When I got home I realize it was 2 days expired as well. The store is overpriced and has a low quality of products to select from.

Insane pricing. $17 for a 6pack of mic ulta. $9 for a pack of hotdog! I’ve been to a lot of touristy places and this is insane.

Out of date salads and meat and the most unpleasant staff you could ever imagine. Yes you’re definitely in the wrong job girl in the pink Maine sweatshirt!

This little store has a lot to offer. The deli has daily lunch specials, you can also find most of what larger stores offer with a fewer choices. They offer produce, deli meats + cheeses, dry goods, wine + liquor + beer, homemade baked goods, and more. The prices are a little high but that's to be expected.

Convenient stores typically over charge on goods, but this store takes the cake! Expect to pay super high prices on everything! Really hurts the locals who stop here by taking advantage of the wealthier people who live in the area in the summer. Overall it's a very clean store with options you can't find unless you go to Bar Harbor, plus their deli and pre-made sandwiches/muffins aren't too overpriced.

Pine tree market has a great selection of gourmet food and a vast array of wines. The deli also has several fresh made items for sale. However, the prices are often very inflated (as high as 400% mark up). Frugal shoppers beware!!!

The one grocery store in North East Harbor. Pretty good size, a bit of everything. I definitely felt like capture audience, its very expensive, most cereals, which is what we were looking for $6.99. 4 organic fuji apples were $8. I am glad it's there but it will look elsewhere.

Very good selection of fresh baked goods. My traveling companions liked the cake and peanut butter Whoopie pie they got for dessert, I liked the long roll I got to make a sandwich. The tortellini salad was pretty good, too.

A cozy little market in the heart of Northeast Harbor. The store has an old fashioned feel to it and specializes in wines, cheeses, meats, seafood, and liquor. Prices are admittedly high, but the summer clientele include big names like Martha Stewart, George W. Bush, Gregg Popovich, etc. Owned by a local family who send their children to the local schools. I would recommend Pine Tree!

Too overpriced! Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but the staff have a tendency to be rather unprofessional, as I have walked in there on several occasions and seen them talking on their phones, standing around and doing nothing, etc. To add icing on the c*** cake, placing an order here for anything, whether it be a sandwich from the deli or just a pizza to go, is like pulling teeth because the aforementioned crew on board are lazy and rude. Not worth my money or time.

If you’re hiking in the area or a local, this is the spot: Good alcohol and wine selection and all pretty good grocery though overpriced. They do have some prepared foods and locally prepared breads, pastries and fudge.

Expensive, but it's a very nice store. Wine, beer and liquor selection is good. Fresh vegetables, seafood/meat/dairy. Organic and local produce.

Quaint market that has mostly what you need for snacks, making sandwiches and general grocery needs. Half way between a grocery store and a 7-11. They also sell liquor.

The most ridiculously overpriced store. The staff are useless. If you are looking to spend as much money as you possibly can - this is the place to shop. Never again.

If you're the only game in town, you can charge whatever you want. Good selection for a small shop, but $$$$.
