Have stayed at Nebo Lodge twice while on North Haven Island. Both times were wonderful experiences. Food and drinks were wonderful and the rooms very very comfortable. Employees were very friendlyFood & drinks: They have great cocktails and the farm to table menu is amazing.

The menu is solid, and the atmosphere is very good, as was the service. So it feels like a special place to dine. But the quality of the entrees didn’t quite justify the price. I felt the dessert was the highlight of the evening.

The most wonderful experience! Beautiful setting, absolutely incredible food sourced locally, such kind servers, and fantastic decor - fresh flowers in little vases all around the restaurant. If you get a chance to get a room in the bed and breakfast, that is SUCH a treat! Highly, highly recommend!

My stay at Nebo Lodge was exceptional in all regards. From the patio and outdoor seating to the seasonal menu and cocktail list to the incredibly gracious owner and staff and to the thoughtful rooms and decor, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend this lodge more. Angie and her team were incredibly helpful and attentive, both during my welcome and during my dinners there. The dogfish and butter rooms were charming and had neat details throughout. The beds were comfortable and luxurious. There’s also a nice rooftop porch for guests to enjoy. I highly recommend going to the bar for a pre-dinner drink and then trying the North Haven oysters and seasonal plates. I highly recommend this establishment for a step back in time on North Haven and for an all around great hotel / culinary experience.

The group of eight of us had four different selections with three of the four rating their dinners as just bland; one rated their dinner as very good, one as fair and the other three as good.Appetizers were very good to excellent in all cases.We were disappointed overall.

My family rode the boat from Rockland for a delicious dinner on Nebo’s porch to celebrate our mom’s birthday. Everything was perfection, including the friendly and attentive service. Beautiful boat rides both ways (4p and 7:30p). The menu is always changing so it’s impossible to recommend a meal, but no one in our party was disappointed with their order. If the Toffee Sticky Pudding is on the menu, don’t miss out!

Over the top dining. We came over here to celebrate nainais birthday. The staff made us feel like home and served us really well. It was hot if you come around 4pm. The sun can get you directly which is a bit unbearable so that’s one tiny complaint I have. The owner could easily build a blind on the porch and that would be solved. Just be aware that if you are coming around that time, better get seats inside. The food here is one of the best I have had in the world. The taste, the presentation and ambiance.

Unbelievable! My wife surprised with a trip here for our anniversary. They picked us up from the landing strip, brought us to the lodge and checked us in. Wonderful rooms, perfect food, amazing service. We starting dining outside but it was getting a bit cool, so we asked if we could move our meal inside and in an instant three staff whisked us inside to a cozy dining room without hesitation. Delicious cocktails too ;-)

What an adventure. A boat ride that was fun with a great captain and first mate. On the ride back I got wet and finally took shelter with the captain but I wouldn't have changed a thing. What a memory. Now as to the lodge it's a very nice place and the food was good. A bit of a hike to get from the dock to the lodge and uphill so if you have walking issues arrange for a ride. If you want something a little different then a local restaurant then try this lobster boat ride and dinner on an island. Oh one last issue. We paid for parking in the lot a little walk away from where the boat is docked and when we tried to drop the car off the lot was full. Not happy about that, paid but no spot and the driver had a long walk from where he finally found parking. Just a heads up on that issue. They really shouldn't sell parking for spots that don't exist.

Absolutely dreamy from the moment we stepped foot onsite. Experience dining at its best. The service was amazing due to cheerful and attentive wait staff. Insanely good food unable to put into the words it deserves. The menu was creative, fresh and simple all the same time. The drinks were fresh and plentiful. I will be dreaming about this place until I return. Perfect place for life event. Engagement party, birthday, anniversary or celebration of any sort.

If I could give 10 stars I would and even that would not express our gratitude to this Inn (lodge). After hard day of sailing we put in at North Haven, ME and needed a bed that wasn't moving around with the wind. Even though the Nebo was technically closed they extended extraordinary hospitality and allowed us to stay in a room and it was a delightful place. I'll recommend them to everyone I can.

This was the worst dining experience of my life. Hands down.We had a dinner for our family reunion at the Nebo Lodge restaurant. It was a large group, but we reserved the space weeks in advance. They should have told us they are unable to accommodate large groups, because they were clearly incapable of serving everyone.There was a half hour between ordering drinks and getting them. Once we ordered food, it came in very staggered. My food came 20 minutes before my son's, and his came 10 minutes before my wife's. And we were lucky to get our food. An hour or so after the first person got their food, they came out and asked who hadn't gotten anything, and took their orders again. Some of those were kids whose peers had finished eating and gone off to play. Some people never got their food, even after re-ordering.Afterward, they had the audacity to tack 20% gratuity onto our bill. I understand that this is fairly standard with large groups, but after the terrible service we received it felt like a slap in the face. I don't particularly blame the servers, I just don't think the restaurant is capable of dealing with that large of a crowd, and shouldn't have agreed to seat us in the first place.The food was alright, though over priced. Had I taken my wife out for dinner, I might have been happy with it. But I would strongly warn away large groups or families with children.

My wife and I flew in and were picked up at the landing strip by an employee of the lodge. She checked us in and gave us a quick tour of the lodge. Everything from the furniture to the floral arrangements were beautiful. The food and service; exceptional. We will definitely be going back.

A friend and I traveled from Florida to spend the night at Nebo Lodge, based on reviews in various magazines, we were expecting a gourmet meal. Our meal was steak and salad,, cold scorched bread and the salad consisted of lettuce only. Very disappointed. Upon arrival we were told there was hot tea in the tea room, there was no seating available in the only reception room . The room was filled with a large group of children, which also occupied the room next to us and the shared bathroom.We were expecting accommodations in keeping with a bed and breakfast.Also, we were not told this was a restaurant open to all North Haven with an adjoining bar, with our bedroom directly above the bar area.It was not an enjoyable experience, as I was , based on readings and advertising, expecting a relaxed bed and breakfast atmosphere, with a gourmet dinner.Sherry McDaniel - May 26, 2013 visit
