Comfortable, convenient & quiet stay in August 2023. Very much enjoyed our visit. Would return!Lovely water views, some orange ooze. Probably wouldn’t swim here, but there are other fun things for families to do.

I stayed here, with my 79-year-old mother, for two nights. We loved it! We stayed in a bunk house. It had electricity, which was needed for a CPAP machine. All the campsites at that end of the campground are pleasantly big. There are some r.v. sites as you enter the campground that are very close together, but the rest of the campground is nice. The lake is beautiful and we heard loons frequently.

I always had fun when my family goes every year and the lake house is always neat and great place to stayNearby activities: You have a playground right by or you can go to the beach also you can rent out a canoe and go to nearby island in the lakeWalkability: You can walk to anything in the campground and have something to do no matter where u are

Quiet, clean campground with lake access. The staff is friendly and helpful. A playground is available. The sites need leveling work but that appeared to be happening while we were there. The bonfire pit smoldered all week and unfortunately blew right into our camper which I didn't love, but that is my only real complaint. Bath houses were available but we didn't use them.

We stayed in site 119, gravel, fairly level, As pictured the utilities are quite far so we did have to buy another sewer hose form the store. Which they graciously opened after hours so we could get set up and showered. This is one of the NICEST Campgrounds we've been too. Love there are no breed restrictions and we could set up our fence. Lovely mowed trails around the park, the store actually has useful things in there. lovely beach and large play area for kids. The dogs are allowed to swim off the dock area. Reasonably priced, internet not great but useable (we have ATT&T) Laundry Facilities are as expected at campgrounds, but they are pretty cheap which was nice. Nearest amenities are all about 10 minutes away for groceries and gas etc. Love that they host Yoga 3 times per week in the very pretty barn. If you are looking to go a little off-grid and just have a vacation. This place is ideal.

We just spent Memorial Day weekend. The campground is beautiful! But....our campsite was too small and we couldn't level the camper so we spent the nights in misery trying to sleep. An 18 ft would have been perfect, we have a 24 ft. And the golfcarts are all day long, nonstop and last up to 11 pm, nonstop The noise, dust, and fumes are beyond annoying. One of the great pleasures of camping, for me, is listen to the children playing and the peace and quiet at night. Not here, the golfcarts steal the joy.

We had a less than perfect experience and the owners were quick and very generous in “fixing it.” Customer service is clearly their jam.Though the campground is not really my cup of tea (very packed in with little to no privacy, lots of larger “party vibe” groups, golf carts everywhere) I can see why so many people like it. There’s a ton to do, facilities were clean, the lake is beautiful, and the owners are clearly great people. I might give it another go, not in Aug 😉.

Overall...great campground. They are more focused on family camping with younger family members. Most sites are pretty close together but there are some "private" ones. Bathrooms are 7 out of 10 (don't forget your quarters for the shower). Staff is friendly and their store has the basics you may need. There was no issue with loud campers once the sun went down. We prefer sites that are a little more spaced out than the sites at this campground and we don't have kids so will we return.....maybe. if our family chooses to camp there again we would happily join! Lake is great to explore too.

My company Hager Photography photographed a wonderful wedding at Duck Puddle this past fall. The grounds were beautiful and the interior spaces for the ceremony and reception were perfect. Overall it was great experience and I highly recommend it for your wedding.

We had the most magical wedding weekend at The Lakeside Barn & Duck Puddle Campground. An idyllic midcoast Maine setting with waterfront views, woods, and a beautiful barn to top it all off. Meredith and Paul are the most helpful and gracious hosts you could ask for, and being able to have our family & friends stay with us onsite the entire weekend was the best part of it all. We had so many of our guests say this was the best wedding they had ever been to, and the venue itself played a huge role in that. The campground itself was awesome and we enjoyed having other campers around with us-- everyone was very kind and respectful and you could tell a lot of awesome family traditions were in full swing with summer camping. We were super bummed when the weekend was over, it was as perfect as we could have asked for. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone looking for a rustic Maine experience set in beautiful nature, and we absolutely plan to come back to Duck Puddle as campers in the future!

Great place to go camping! Lots of activities for everyone! Our campsite was pretty level, clean, shaded with a water view, big enough for what we needed, quiet, our neighbors were very friendly and sociable and the portapotty restrooms were very clean.Overall a great experience especially for the holiday weekend!!Now I'm looking into buying a camper and hopefully getting a seasonal site there. Will DEFINITELY be back again!

It is what it is. A great family campground, beautiful location, kind staff. I have been to many high end, Class A only campgrounds throughout the US. I like the feel of Duck Puddle better. Genuinely happy kids having the time of their lives, respectful neighbors and a very laid back atmosphere. A1

This place is awesome. Meredith and Paul made our daughters wedding an occasion we will never forget. Their facility is just beautiful and the barn was amazing. They made us feel like family the whole time we were there and were always available to assist us in anything we needed. We have only known them for a week but felt like we are part of their family. We can never thank you enough. We hope to see you again soon.Thank youDana Blondin & Family, Alex & Megan

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in one of their cabins. It was peaceful, the views are beautiful and it was just what we needed for our weekend getaway. The cabin was clean and cozy, and everything you'd want a Maine cabin to be. Just a lovely place, and perfect for kids! We'll definitely be back! It's worth noting that this is also a beautiful spot for weddings and can easily accommodate a bridal party with all of the cabins as well (I'm also a wedding professional). Would highly recommend to anyone!

My Wife and I had duck puddle as our weekend venue for our wedding Paul and Meredith tended to our every need/want with no questions asked. They made sure things went smoothly. Everything from the shuttling people from the lake to the barn, making sure we had a fire, to need like an iron or getting the cupcakes read to go the day of the wedding. They even set up chairs and tables. They and the rest of the duck puddle crew were great. Thank you for making our weekend run smoothly!

What a great time we had here! Boat slips available if you want to bring a boat, we did. The place is relatively quiet during the week, but is hopping from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. If you enjoy a lot of activities, this is the place, huge bon fire on Saturday night with a band! Well groomed swim area. Good size playground for the kids. Horseshoe pits. It's a bit of a party atmosphere Saturday night, but the hosts are amazing people, and they do a great job making sure the quiet hours are adhered to when it comes time. We'll be back!

Great access to Pemaquid Lake for boats with swimming area. Lots of campground activities, especially on the weekends. Biggest bonfire I have ever seen! RV'ERS using Starlink will want sites 40-46 or possibly a few between 119-113 would work. Those are also the bigger rig sites. Didn't use the bathrooms. Nice people.Playground: Older playground, but our kids had a great time. Lots of kids to play with. Also had corn hole and volleyball net set up.

Campsites very close with very little privacy and in the sun majority of the afternoon. Showers are coin operated with no warning in advance. 1 quarter= 6 minutes of hot water. After paying $35/night for the tiny site, hot water should 100% be included. On top of that the showers were really really dirty and could definitely use a deep clean. The small beach area works well for a quick dip to cool off. This campground appears to be a 1-2 day quick camping trip. Longer stays would be better elsewhere.

Great staff, wonderful location. I needed a home base for a couple of days to visit the fairs in the area. This campground is about 30 minutes from each venue, so this was was perfect.Staff are polite, restroom clean, and you get six minutes of shower time for a quarter.I can see returning.

Great campground on Pemaquid Lake. Our campsite was on the waterfront and had enough space between campsites to give some privacy. We went fishing, kayaking and swimming. At night they had a great bonfire and live band. Recommended!

Noisy nights, golf carts are plentiful and ran all hours of my stay, site not for tenting, tree roots & large tree stumps on site, picnic table unsafe - propped up with a rock because of the slope of the site, and I had to park my SUV in the bushes to use the firepit. If you like chaos this is the place.

Don't bother. Overpriced, lots are like being in a sardine can. No thought put into the layout of newly added sites, hazards not marked caused damage to the rig. Contacting insurance company as the park recognized the damage but failed to assist or apologize (owner's nephew?). Rude, inconsiderate, snide. Made the office aware of broken tailsweep and was confronted by same "unemployable groundskeeper" and made to take damaged, dirty sweep inside our rig instead of disposing of it. Replacement will exceed $500 and not yet sure if the oilpan will need to be replaced as well. We are not the only customers who have experienced this type of difficulty. Will update once a mechanic can assess the underbelly. Also, charged our visitors an outrageous fee although we had already purchased the passes from the office. Very poor showing by the 'owner'. Working staff was helpful but management was not. Will not return, advise to avoid this campground.

My friends and I had a great time this weekend at Duck Puddle. It’s a family-oriented campsite and although we are all in our 30s and no kids we felt we fit in just fine. Great swimming (and skinny dipping!) and fantastic amenities.

Paul and staff were very welcoming. Online registering was easy. Their local knowledge was extensive and they were very helpful with our request for an extended checkout providing a site for us to drop our trailer while exactly lording the oyster trail.
