I have taken my pets to Moosehead Trail Vet for at least 20 years. I trust them completely with the care of my pets and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They go above and beyond for us and always lead with kindness and compassion while still giving the facts. The dog I have now is 13 years old and has had some issues over the years as one can imagine and when dealing with these issues, we are always given choices along with what the outcome would be. I feel like we matter to them and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Everyone was very kind and helpful. I was happy to have a reduced exam fee for bringing them all together. They put my pets at ease, especially my aging, skittish dog, Link. The doctor answered my specific questions well, and he looked them over thoroughly.I do wish, however, that folks had introduced themselves upon entering the exam room--the tech, the vet.

My dog, 3 cats and I have always been greeted and treated with smiles and kindness from every single staff member at every visit. The staff are always patient with any questions I have, are great at explaining things in a way that's easy to understand, and demonstrate genuine care for my pets. It's usually easy to get at appt and prices are fair. I'm SO happy that I got my babies into Moosehead Vet.

We had 2 dogs who lived past the age of 13 and 2 cats who lived past the age of 16 thanks to the great care at MTV. We're on dogs #3 and 4, no cats at present, and continue to trust their care to MTV. We've been customers of MTV for over 20 years and the vets and techs are great people to have on your pet's side.

The staff were very compassionate when my beloved feline needed eye cancer surgery. Although it bought him only 3 months, those 3 months were precious, as the whole family was able to say their good byes. Our sweet Jamie lived a full and very loved life. Thanks to the staff for their support. This photo was before he became ill and needed eye surgery.

I switched a couple years ago from a previous vets office (way to over booked/crowded and so little time spent in the room with me and my animals) I knew Moosehead was a little bit more money wise, but it has been SOOOOO WORTH IT !! Best decision I've made! I adopted my dog Charley from NFR Maine and not even 4 months later I had to rush him up there and he had to have stitches in his pad of his paw and to keep it wrapped with a boot. It was so traumatizing for me (first dog owner) and I could not of had any better care for not only myself, all my questions were thoroughly explained and I've never felt rushed...and Charley's paw healed perfectly. Dr.Larkin is AMAZING and seriously, every single person in that office are the bees knees 😍 Charley LOVES going there and he gets so jealous when it's the cats turn to go in, and not his lol The staff could not be anymore amazing and I always leave feeling like my pets were in very, very capable, respectful hands ❤

I have nothing but good things to say about MTVH. Every tech and vet I have met has been great, but most of my experience has been with Dr. Erker and she is just a wonderful veterinarian and person. They were all amazing when my young dog got sick, and did everything they could to figure out what was wrong with him. They never made me feel like a bother when I called to ask about the smallest thing, and I know how extremely busy they are. They always kept me in the loop, and made me feel heard and like they truly cared about my dog too. Unfortunately my dog passed away, but Dr. Erker called me when she heard to check in and I found so much comfort in that. I’ve never felt like just a number to them, and we still use them with our new pup! MTVH has a team of amazing, kind, compassionate, overall just wonderful people and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

My girl Maeve had a seizure (first and hopefully last) this past Monday and I called MTVH in a panic and they said to head right up. They did blood work and let me know she had not been poisoned. The price was very fair. I can't thank the staff enough they calmed me down and explained what to do if Maeve has another seizure.

The staff is attentive, knowledgable and competent. We had to unexpectedly lay our cat away today and their care & compassion made this very difficult day bearable. They have cared for all of our animals for the past 5 years and although we moved farther away from them 2 years ago, we would NEVER go anywhere else.

We have been taking our pets here for years and we feel they always give the best care to out cats. We love Dr. MacAvoy and all of the staff there. We just recently lost our oldest cat due to his Kidney disease. Dr. MacAvoy treated him for several years with kindest care, we could have ever wanted. His last day we were treated with the utmost care and most importantly so was "Otis". Thank You one and all

They took us in as new clients on an emergency slot because I was worried my girls (cats)had some serious problems. The doctor and nurses were kind, efficient, knowledgeable and very good with my animals. They burritoed my cat and kept her calm and safe even though she can be a massive jerk, she was surprisingly well behaved and recieved the staff well. Highly recommend them. We got both cats looked at for a very reasonable price that included their medicine and future prescription options.
