I went in for the first time to get a plant for my Mom at her nursing home. The staff was super friendly and the woman that helped me pick out plants was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of good planting tips and wrapped the plants I bought and such a sweet way. I will definitely be back to check out the rest of the store! It had a cute dog section and all the other things a great hardware store has.

I have always had a good experience shopping at this store. I want to warn potential buyers to do some research before you buy the Speed Queen TR series washers that they sell. I bought one there three years ago and have been very disappointed because it just doesn't get my clothes clean. After numerous times of contacting the company they finally told me this type of washer was designed for lightly soiled clothes. I recently bought a Speed Queen tc5 series elsewhere and have been happy with it so far

I Love This Place.We are here on vacation till October, and my wife and I love this place, and the men and women that work there are Amazing and Crazy Friendly. This store has Everything.. including U-haul trailer rentals, and with all the Treasures I have accumulated here in the Beautiful State of Maine, I will need one to get all these things back to Northern Mississippi.I wish we had a Louie Doe in Nesbit, Mississippi. Louis Doe Home Center is my go-to place for anything home, pet, or even flower related. Mark and his team are always friendly, helpful, accommodating, and ask the right questions to make sure you are getting everything you need. They go above and beyond for their customers and make you feel like family while you're there. I recently needed to replace my stove, I reached out to Mark on Thursday evening, I had a new stove by Saturday afternoon...and the price was better than anything out of town! I truly can't recommend them enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent customer service! Every time I've gone in there they've gone above and beyond to help me find what I'm looking for. Great selection of Yeti cups, everything is fairly priced. In the greater Damariscotta area, Louis Doe is the one stop shop for anything pet, flowers and hardware supplies. The store cats put a personal touch, very cute and well cared for! Thanks Louis Doe staff!

Used to be my go to plaace for pet supplies. No longer a need I recently lost my pup. I came back with my daughter some things have changed the pet section is blocked off from foot traffic and most of the plants were gone or over priced. Always great Staff the young lady in the small animal fish section was so helpful and full of informative and pleasantly patient she is a gem!!

I’ve been shopping at Louis does for years but recently they seem to have a greater selection of useful products. Last spring I purchased a fridge to replace one that broke. The customer service was terrific—no hassle prompt delivery and disposal of the old one. Competitive prices too. They really are an amazing all around hardware/pet/garden center store with friendly service. Worth stopping by to see what they have.

Went to look at dishwashers. Immediately had a lovely young man helping us. Answered all our questions, and he went to find if the one we want in stock. The very next day it was delivered to our house! We were so pleased.

Very friendly and the pet center employees are very knowledgeable. The animals look very healthy and lively compared to any pet store I've been in. Our pets love the bulk food whuch we buy weekly.

This place is the absolute best. Mark, Peter, and the crew are a helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and they have at least one of about everything one could need. Louis, the founder, is a frequent presence and is a true Maine gem. Their store blows the pants off of any big box store. They get to know the customer, are willing to work with them, and are super trustworthy. I'm very thankful for Louis Doe home center.

I had a great experience with the uhaul rental here. The shop is great here too.The staff is great. Friendly, and they know what they're talking about. If you are used to the bewildered look on the face of a big-box employee when you ask a question, you will, immediately appreciate the knowledge and experience of the staff here.

Went there to rent a uhaul trailer and the service was horrible. The guy Derrick that waited on us had an awful attitude acted like he was going out of his way to wait on you! Then we had problems with the lights on the trailer he would NOT come out to help had basically the stock boy helping us but he had no clue. But lazy Derrick would not leave counter to help instead sent us an additional 15 miles away to pick up a different trailer said he sent all the paperwork over to pick it up, well again he didn’t do that at all, guess that required some effort. Shame on you for having such a effortless, lazy, poor customer service employee I would never ever go there again!!!

They literally have everything. Kitchen sink? Yup. Bulk pet supplies? You bet. How about that awesome new microwave you've been needing? Step up to the counter.Friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous staff assist you with your purchase whether it be a 2 pound bag of bird seed, or a 600 dollar appliance. That's service you can't beat.

It's all good! Except for the Millitt Moths, that comes with the bird food, your clerk told me to put the bag of seed in the freezer,over night, sounds good hope it it helps because they are a pain in the( A --- --- ) wish my finches and Cockatiels ate them LOL 🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦finches and 🐧🐧 Cockatiels, Very happy with service, Thank you 🦋🍀🦌🐺

Best place around for just about everything! They have prettyy food, pets, gardening supplies and plants, appliances, a florist shop, and everything electrical or plumbing related you could need. Weber grills, friendly staff, paint and propane. Way better than going to the huge hardware store...

Yesterday 08/19/2020 we went to the pet center and was inquiring about Fish, the lady that was working in that center named Hazel was super unfriendly, I was with my daughter and grandchildren, my grandson was so excited about this fish for his birthday, we tried to ask questions, she acted as if we were bothering her, every time we tried to ask another question, she just rolled her eyes at us...... I will never go back there for anything.....

Bought Shephards hooks and pesticides. Used to be able to walk in and get help with whatever u were asking for. I was pointed in the direction but as for specifics NO. I was still able to get what was needed tho
