Taildragger Stables is one of the best facilities southern Maine has to offer. It's a large facility but is ALWAYS quiet. It offers everything a horse owner could ask for! Excellent care, a heated wash stall, stalls or sheds, indoor/outdoor/ round pen and trails too but the pastures are just incredible! The facility definitely speaks for itself the second you arrive!

I brought my 3 year old here to visit and got a wonderful experience of interacting with the horses and walking the grounds. The facility is beautiful and well kept. I would recommend this facility to anyone. I plan on looking into riding lessons for my kid when they are able.

This is the nicest place. The owners take care of their own horses and the boarders together. Good quality hay, lots of fresh water, constant access to turn out… And it shows! The horses coats are softer, their eyes are brighter, and they greet you at the gate. I take lessons here on a quarter horse names Spartan. The trainer is amazing; incredibly knowledgeable and kind. She knows everything from anatomy, biomechanics, soil management impact on horse nutrition, complex saddle fit issues, and veterinary procedures… not just riding technique! This is a “horses first” kind of a barn, and riding is more enjoyable because the horses are happier. Also, the customers are curated. This is a no-drama barn where everyone is kind. Adorable little Western wear / tack shop too. During heat waves your lesson may be rescheduled to avoid stress to the horses. ♥️

This facility has a amazing group of people who care for horses better than you can ask for! With around the clock care and feedings throughout the day and cleaning all time! It’s a amazing place for you and your horse to feel at home. With years of knowledge and experience traildragger stables is the only place to be!

I am very pleased with this barn, their instructors and atmosphere. We come from a non barn background and have been very pleased that what you would expect from a barn, elitist attitudes and gossiping amongst the boarders and professionals does not swallow or even touch this barn. They support inclusivity, connection and respect for both horse and human. We understand the mission of the barn might be different then other barns and trainers. We are very thrilled Taildraggers is different and they welcome all styles of horse lovers.

The horses come first here and it shows! Amazing knowledgable staff, supportive people for everyone of any discipline! Lots of beautiful pastures and dry paddocks, so all the horses can go out during the day. Very low stress, zero drama barn. Absolutely love it.

My husband had gotten me a gift certificate for 5 riding lessons here Christmas 2020. I was already 10 weeks pregnant with my first and he had bought them before I became pregnant. I chose not to use the certificate until after I had a baby and got a handle on mom life. Once I decided to use the certificate it was a over a year from when I was purchased and therefore invalid. We did not know it was going to expire. I reached out to Taildragger Stables and they said they would try to work it out and put me on a list. I never heard back from them. It’s too bad because I was really looking forward to it. Money thrown away.
