Talk about a place that beat my expectations by a mile. We stopped by here because it was close and because of a recommendation of someone by us. Based on their description I expected it to be more like diner food than what it turned out to be.I had the Burlington Poutine, that is pictured here. My wife, the Chipped Beef bowl. First off, most of the food here is in bowls, which already changes the experience from the dated diner plates. My food was fresh, tasty and a little on the sweet side. The Chipped Beef was also very tasty and my wife wanted to lick the bowl clean, the sauce was that good. Would definitely recommend and we will come back again if in the area.

In town for a vacation, I saw this restaurant on my way to my rental. I was intrigued! After checking things out online, I decided to do a pick-up order after a touristy trip. The menu has something for everyone, and online ordering is super easy.Even ordering for a family of 6, the meal was affordable. But wait.. after opening the box...O M G! So much food. You can easily have 2 or 3 meals out of your order or share with a friend.I chose the smashed potato, beef chipped gravy, and fried chicken with cheese curds and fried pickles. Healthy? Your cardiologist won't recommend it, but divine? Yep. You can eat carrots at home...if you're ordering from Gravy? It's a cheat day, baby.A special thank you to the restaurant for calling me personally to let me know my order was ready and for waiting for me to finish the drive back from Portland.

I have been wanting to try one of our local restaurants in Somersworth for a while now, so Friday night my wife and I took a drive across town to satiate my craving for Gravy. They are located at 6 Main St.We were greeted upon entering and were asked if we had ever been in before. Our answer was no and she explained how the ordering process works. We grabbed a table and started looking over the menus. My wife decided on a grilled hotdog with fries and an Egg Cream. I chose one of the Specials and a Tributary IPA.Our drinks arrived and it looked like someone had chugged half my beer(Pic1). Our waitress explained that I had finished the keg and I wouldn't be charged for the beer. My wife's Egg Cream was topped off(Pic 2).A short time later our food arrived. My wife's hotdog was grilled perfectly and was nestled in a Martin's Potato Bun with a side of fries(Pic3).My Special was The Big Mac Jones Burger(yes, Mac Jones of Patriots fame). This beast was made with 2 Gravy smash patties, Alabama white sauce, lettuce, American cheese, pickles and red onions all on a Martin's Sesame Seed Bun. I also substituted for the fries(Pics 4-5). Let me tell you, this was without a doubt, the best burger I have ever had. The patties were juicy, the Alabama white sauce had a tangy flavor to it and was simply delicious. Every ingredient in this burger could be tasted and wasn't overshadowed by the sauce. Everything culminated to pure perfection. I wore it well šŸ˜„. The fries were crispy and delicious. As you can see, we could have easily shared the fries. I did grab another beer. This one was a Burlington Imperial IPA. I won the battle with the burger and was rolled away from the table. The memory of that burger will always stay with me.Gravy has an extensive menu so I know we'll be back for more. I have no doubt that the rest of the menu is going to be just as delicious as what we had. I would encourage anyone to take a drive to Somersworth to try Gravy.Dine on!

This was our first to Gravy. My meal was incredible! We also tried the gravy flight which is served with fries so we could try a variety of flavors. My favorites was creole tasso and grandpa's cheddar and beer. Portions were large. They also had a nice selection of local brews on tap. Service was great even though they were short handed. We cannot wait to return!

Being ā€œGravyā€ it would have tasty gravy, but the gravies we got, sausage gravy lacked pepper, a main ingredient. Also, the brown turducken gravy was bland and needed salt. There is no salt on the tables, so ours was not the only table asking for salt. Then, there was the service…terribly slow non attentive. Under trained issues like not knowing the menu, not knowing what a hard seltzer is, not coming back to ask if everything was ok. The menu is creative, but the cook isn’t that sharp either. I got Poutine with a fried egg and they forgot the egg. When I finally got someone’s attention they brought me an egg quickly, and it was nearly raw. I couldn’t even eat it. The three stars are: 1 for a creative concept Resturant, 1 for atmosphere and one for the owners who did come out and speak to people to ask if everything was ok, I mentioned they forgot the egg and he apologized and said he would get it right next time. We probably won’t go back though because the gravy is bland. If you love gravy, like I do, it’s worth a try, but ask for a salt and pepper shaker, you’ll need it.

New location. Great staff and the food is not your typical restaurant fare. I had the BLT on a homemade biscuit that was amazing! Hand cut fries that are perfect. Outdoor seating as well as inside. Definitely worth stopping by!

I have never been more disappointed in a meal. I'm from the south. I know what gravy is. What they call gravy is flavorless, broken flour water. The idea is great. But when the star of your meal is gravy and its the worst part about a meal. Your doing it wrong. I hope more than anything the owner sees this message. If changes aren't made, gravy WILL go out of business. I have never in my life intentionally left my leftovers at a restaurant. We both left most of the meal. We were not alone. My wife and I had 3 little elderly ladies stop by us in the parking lot to ask if our food was as terrible as theirs? I think that sums it up.

I had an amazing meal at Gravy! It was nice to build your own meal. The disappointment is was how much gravy was given! With the name we assumed we would have a generous serving of gravy on our food. To our surprise it was less than expected. We asked for some more on the side, to our surprise again a small container was given (one you may put dressing or lobster butter in). We giggled at the sized to each other because we come from a family of a ā€˜side of gravy’ being a small/medium bowl. Once we received the bill we were charged two extra dollars for our small dressing container of gravy. No worries here it was delicious and paid without a fuss. Just putting out there if you’re headed to a restaurant named gravy don’t be alarmed if you do not receive much gravy!

Such a great spot for dinner! It was right up the road from the campground my boyfriend and I stayed at. Hearty home style meals. It was perfect after a looooong 6 hour drive. Unique options, Absolutely delicious and a wonderful experience. Eric was excellent, attentive and very thoughtful. He made us laugh and was very appreciative of us coming in. Good service, good vibes 😊

Today was my first visit to Gravy. Wonderful! Such friendly service and amazing food. The fried chicken is tender and luscious. I had it with a white gravy and a smashed potato. Couldn’t possibly finish it all so I will have a great lunch tomorrow. My husband and I also had the poutine. So yummy. We ate every bite. This is a place that is a believer of true home cooking with prices that are extremely reasonable. I look forward to going back to try the pork. I have lived in Wells for seven years. Why Am I just now discovering this wonderful place?

After going a couple times, I’d say it’s just not for me. Service this past time going was great and food was made quick. When it comes to the food, I’m always disappointed. Chips come in the container with the burgers so the juice and gravy from the burger gets on the chip bag so it’s messy, and the dough boy had ā€œgravyā€ that is less than hot and gritty. Regardless, I wish this restaurant and the people that work there well.

We stopped here on the way home from a weekend get-away and now it will be a regularly scheduled stop on our travels into Maine. The food was incredibly good, a very savory and filling treat. The double smash burger is delicious, saucy, and just hits the spot. The turkey meatloaf was tangy and savory, the beets and pickles were perfect. We even tried the biscuits and gravy, just so good. The service was also friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the coffee was fresh. Worth the detour.Parking: plenty of on site-parking

Good old fashioned food with a modern twist. If you love poutine Gravy is a must. Real cheese curds make all the difference. Lots of classic tastes, done right.

Wonderful comfort food at a great price. The Gravy Boat was ā€œAmazingā€ and the home made Buttermilk Fried Chicken Finger and ā€œ The Doughboyā€ were awesome ! Not ā€œFine Dinningā€ but can’t find a better meal in town. We will be backšŸ‘Vegetarian options: Not a Vegetarian but was told many options available.Parking: Some parking in front and rear of building.

One of a kind restaurant with a menu full of flavor! Ate in the dining room fully enjoying the contactless menu, ordering and service. We ordered a Soda Fountain Treat, local adult beverage (Chapel + Main), GRAVY Smash Burger cooked to order, Sweet N' Spicy Tennessee hot chicken sandwich. Cleaned our plates and ordered two more entree's to go. Another Gravy treat for later!

Very interesting dining experience with surprisingly a lot of vegetarian options. It was my first time trying poutine and I got it with the mushroom gravy. Easily one of my favorite cuisines I’ve had from any restaurant in a few months. The flavor profile on the mushroom gravy was very unique I highly recommend it. The server was also very attentive and personable.

Great food! Gibson was the best waiter we had ever had. He made our whole trip better with his positive energy and his friendliness. Even late in the evening, he was very professional. Props to the whole staff for their dedication to their work. Again, Gibson, you're the MAN.

Visited for lunch, waitress was wonderful. Brown gravy lacked salt, chicken sandwich was just okay, needs a flavorful sauce. Blt biscuit was bland, fries were fine. Rice pudding had an odd after taste, best part of the meal was the butterscotch pudding. I really wanted to love this place and will return if the menu is vamped up with some more flavor.
