The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. I loved all of the things for sale here. The food is amazing! It was the best corn bread and coleslaw I have ever tasted. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It was a trip for me to go there, but it was totally worth it. Every bite was delicious 😋. I will definitely be going back for more!

The woman doing the cooking was so awesome. Very friendly and helpful. We then went to the bar and talked to the bartender. He makes a great drink and was very helpful filling us in on the local places to see.

Love this place, was a great find in our new town we call home...on the weekends. Food is extraordinary and the staff and other patrons are friendly and treat you like family.Will always be back for more good food and company.

First visit to the new (much bigger) place and I have to say it's even better than before! As always, excellent BBQ... The pork is simply to die for and the chili was just right. Only wish I could eat more to enjoy everything they have to offer. Nice beer and drink selection and the pale ale on tap is great!

What an amazing place! The best memories we made during our visit to Maine were made here. At the suggestion of Scott (thanks Scott!), we wondered over to have some bbq after spending time drinking with Goats at Turning Page Farm (fun!!). Kim and Mike were such good people. I’m not exactly sure how long we stayed having drinks, food and great laughs with Glen at the bar but long enough to shut the place down 😆! Thanks to you all for making two girls from NC feel right at home! P.S. Kim, we got our ‘tip jar weight’ 😉

Many have not eaten BBQ before, based on the reviews. BBQ smells and tastes like smoked meat. There is so much sauce on the pulled pork sandwiches that you cannot possibly taste anything else. It becomes a soggy mess. Many things seem to be microwaved here as well. Kind of unfortunate really. The service was pretty good but gosh, cannot get past the lack of BBQ presence in the main course.

This is the best barbeque in the state. I've been going here since they moved in to town and you can't go wrong. I usually get the pulled pork sandwich but everything is great. Crowds are welcome. Quick service and great conversation. Enjoy Monson!

We were trying to visit a brewery, but found out it was closed this weekend, so we ended up here. I am so glad we did. The Food: I had the sausage in a roll with onions, peppers, and sauerkraut. The sausage was juicy and flavorful with a great snap. The sauerkraut was local and had a nice bite to cut through the meat. My husband had the steak and cheese sandwich with peppers and it was phenomenal. The best part of our meal was chatting with Mike and Kim. They were so friendly and helpful in helping up plan the rest of our trip. We were so lucky to be detoured today!

We are on vacation and kept passing this place so we ate there today. It was so good!! Owners were very friendly and they have a full bar. Cozy inside we ordered two pork sandwiches, sides of Mac and cheese, cornbread! They were delish and more then enough for two people. Prices are great and they sell cute things inside .

Amazing spot! The owners are so kind and down to earth and made us feel like old friends. The BBQ is unreal...but the cornbread is life changing. I can't stop thinking about it! I'm not sure what they do to it to make it so dang tasty but it's fantastic. Well worth the visit.

One of the best places I've been for food..I mean good smoked BBQ . This place is worth a drive. Make it a destination and enjoy the journey. If your thinking about going..look no further..you got your answer! In and outside seating. Great people that love what they do.

The owners Mike and Kim are really cool people they prepare all the food fresh daily.Mike's state-of-the-art smoker and cookers produce the tastiest ribs and meats you could imagine. The bar staff I super accommodating and very pleasant. The atmosphere is the friendliest around. Stop in have a great meal and make new friends.

My son and I came in one night, about 15 minutes before closing (I know, I know, but we were hungry and desperate.)We headed to the counter thinking that we could maybe get some takeout, but they quickly assured us it would be no problem at all for us to eat in. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches (nicely overflowing with pork) and a giant wedge of cornbread. Service was quick and friendly, and the food really hit the spot for a couple of hungry hikers.

Great brewed root beer! The kids loved the mac& cheese. Burgers were decent and huge. Chicken sandwich was tastey but a little messy. Pulled pork was good as were the sides. Over all good dining experience.

A wonderful small town meeting and eating place. It's what is going on in Monsoon. Big menu. Good size servings. Bean and ham soup was delightful. Beef shortrib fell off the bones. Relaxed, friendly, real place to eat great food. Large beer selection. Awesome ginger beer.

Rarely you find a special crossroads, a longitudinal & latitudinal oasis. Mike & Kim are the real salt what they created here in Monson elevates Maine’s Cuisine and glazed many a happy people. I had a true high speaking with Mike & Kim about life adventure & cooking. Definitely stop by if you can I drove an hour out of my way to see what treasures lay here..... the frozen provisions And hot sauces I picked up are the gifts that keep on giving this week for me , and my friends, I had to drop some praise with this review... thanks Mike & Kim!

We live in TX in the winter & love BBQ & have been to many excellent BBQ restaurants in that region. You don't expect to find a restaurant like that in Maine so we wanted to write a review to let people know this is not only the real deal but excellent as well. My husband says the beef ribs were the best he's ever eaten. High praise from a man who is picky about BBQ. The pork ribs are so popular you have to get there early or they're all gone & the baked beans are delicious with a Maine twist, the addition of maple syrup. On top of this the staff is friendly & they have good pie. What more could you ask for?

I've had BBQ all over the place. I've had good, decent and questionable. This place is bar none, the absolute best in this state, if not a top contender for the whole east coast. Between the quality of food, hospitality, prices and just general fun...I can't recommend it enough. It's worth a trip from wherever you are to see what they are cooking up. One of my absolutely top 5 places to eat, and I've been to hundreds.

The food is good. I had an awesome salad on one visit and fantastic corn on the cob on my second visit. I give it only a 3 for two reasons. First, they dont use real flatware. The plastic forks and knives are really too flimsy for the job. I prefer a fork that doesn't bend when you're using it. Second, there's a very specific protocol for ordering and they're not particularly forgiving if you don't know what to do (like where to stand in line -- and you must stand single file, for example). If you ask, they tell you to read the signs. On your first visit, all the instructions and the menu which changes daily and is written on a chalkboard can be overwhelming. It would be nice to be able to ask a question without feeling like you're in the soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld.

One of my favorite Barbecue places of all time. It's seat, serve, and clean up after yourselves. The food is superb and you have choices between sitting at the bar, sitting at a table inside, or sitting outside in their yard. I recommend you get the Lemonade and the barbecue pork with whatever sides they have available.

Can you imagine the food here has made me miss for three years? ! I live in Florida. I will travel to this lovely town again in October. Of course, the steak in this restaurant must be try again. It is so delicious!!!

Place is very friendly and mostly look's like a local club. You might not be predicted about "Today Menus". Just eat that cocked or left today. The ribs is good. Dry but tasty. The sausage is better and souses are the best. I wouldn't drive here from the shore but if you around - definitely should check it out.
