Worst experience 1 day after the best experience for this establishment. Food is great, price is on point. The service is awful. If you work for a living; pack your own lunch. I stood a the counter 5 minutes. 2 people working; never dignified me. As far as I'm concerned, Monson general store owes me a lunch. But I won't ever step foot though their doors.

I always intend to take a photo of my sandwich unfortunately, it hasn’t seemed to work out. The food has been consistently delicious!The store itself has an excellent selection of local foods/products and many other interesting wares to choose from.Some might say it’s a bit pricey, in my opinion you get what you pay for in this instance.

Great place to get whatever you need. The food at the deli is delicious. We've had both breakfasts and lunches there. Nice selection of meat and vegetables from local farms, and the coffee is the best! Always stop by on the weekends when we are home.

Great place to stop at. I came across it as a out of stater, looking for a place to buy food for camping. Nice little selection of meats n supplies here. Still needing more they directed me to what in my area is not a grocery store by those names. Ended up grabbing some yummie coffee, amazing steak cut and some of the most delicious maple sausages I’ve had in a long time from this place. Continued on my vacation and in rte back ended up stopping for some great breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommended.Amazing staff staff, service and food.

Very cute general store. Deli sandwiches were super fresh and delicious, we drove down from Greenville a few days to grab lunch here. Nice souvenirs and friendly staff. I also enjoyed that they carry Maine food products like Moxie, Allagash beer and Fox Family chips.

Had a really yummy Turkey n' stuffing sandwich from the deli. Really impressed with the selection. Stayed in a camp down the road and took home a really nice cut of meat, braised it with seasoning and potatoes. One of the best camp meals in recent memory.

The sandwich menu/choices are top notch. I had the Reuben (twice) and it was more tasty and 1/2 the price than what you'd get at a well-know restaurant in Greenville. The provisions are excellent and the building is newer; with a quaint, old-school rustic vibe inside and seating outdoors and a nearby gazebo. Can get busy around lunchtime but that tells you people know this is a good place to eat some delicious food.

Our family, me and my husband, my sister and family, and our parents, have stopped into Monson General for food and snacks, during three of our group family vacations, and have enjoyed it every time. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and full of lots of little gifts. The coffee was also delicious, and they have a nice selection of wines farm goods, and baked goods. Additionally, they have nice out doir dining, with beautifully maintained landscape. The surrounding village buildings are also beautiful. We absolutely love stopping, and encourage everyone to check it out. - LBL

Great selection on the main road to moosehead. They have a great deli in the back of the store as well. Fresh coffee out front. A place to sit and eat on the side. I'll add this to my list of places to stop on my future trips.

I absolutely love this little country store located in the town that my Grandmother grew up in. I always have to swing in when visiting the family hunting camp in Willimantic. Great little deli with delicious sandwiches, awesome beer selection, and plenty of local produceHighly recommend stopping in

My wife and I stopped here the other day to check it out for the first time. My wife picked up a couple ornaments that were handmade by a local. She went absolutely crazy for them. This General Store not only had everything you’d need but, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We decided to change our tradition of our last day leaving Moosehead Lake and grabbing breakfast sandwiches from your everyday DD and eating them by the water.... to stopping here and grabbing some deli sandwiches! WOW... delicious! We both got Ruebens from the friendliest “chef”... these were not your every day deli sandwiches. They were prepared with care and all ingredients distributed perfectly! These two sandwiches just changed our yearly tradition forever however, we will be stopping on the way in and out next year! The guy that made our gourmet sandwiches really made this experience what it was! Thank you... see you next year!!!

Very disappointing. I live in Massachusetts and was visiting Maine on a family vacation - as we do every year. We were coming back from Moosehead Lake to grab a bite to eat. This place came highly recommended. Internet was down, and none of my cards were processing. My father and my brother’s cards were working, which doesn’t make any sense. Seems like spotty internet. I had more than enough money to pay for my food. I’m a general manager of a restaurant down in Massachusetts, and I would’ve given those sandwiches to the customers on us, than let us leave empty handed. I understand the other products we were going to buy, to be put back, but you’d rather throw out two sandwiches and leave two people hungry and 4 hours away from home? That is terrible customer service.

Our grandparents used to live in Monson 30 years ago so we stopped in for the nostalgia of the area and picked up some cool souvenirs for the family and the sandwiches were awesome.. friendly service and they make a blueberry pie bar that is out of this world!! Thanks for the hospitality

My husband and I kept our new tradition. We stopped in on our way to Moosehead had the grilled Rueben again and it was as delicious as we remembered it! (We will be stopping on our way home too- to eat by the water) it was great to how busy they were this year. The store and deli was packed with people. This general store has almost everything you could possibly need. We love it

Love this place there sandwiches are amazing. Everyone working is very helpful and cheerful def worth stopping and checking out all the local crafts they sell. Its a neat little general store. It's very clean and upbeat. They have alot of variety of drinks and snacks. I go there every week almost to get a sandwich some of the best sandwiches I've ate. 🥪 and thr baked good yummy always different variety. They also carry Dave's killer bread which is awesome some of thr best bread. They really carry good quality stuff.

Great selection of local wines, beers, artisan products, meats, and homemade grab and go options. Also, plenty of gift options. A definitely must on the way through to Greenville and beyond. Grab something to eat then sit at the picnic tables behind the store by the picturesque lake.

I absolutely love this store! Whenever I travel through the area I must stop. There's always something new and so many Maine made products it's hard not to buy too much. They have everything from produce to deli foods to prepackaged everything. Also,the prices are incredibly reasonable. This is where I discovered Carrabassett coffee and it's deliciousness. Now, it is what I buy always. If you pass through I highly recommend stopping in and seeing what they have to offer. Enjoy!

Great place to try new and unique things. The quality of the goods they provide is high end and the prices are not terrible. The deli makes excellent sandwiches. Make sure to ask what the sandwich of the day is.

My wife and I have been getting sandwiches there for a few months about twice a week. Great service and friendly staff. The Trailblazer and vegan sandwiches are great!
