If you ever came upon the most perfect back road country store, this is it. We drive oast this and it caught our eye. We went vack and bought fresh out of the oven bread, pizzas that are the best in waldo county, and amazing baked goods.

Everything I've gotten here has been delicious! All of the baked items are perfectly made, not too sugary, really fresh and flavorful. The coconut macaroons are perfect! Tender and moist, the exact right amount of chocolate, exactly the way I love them. The pumpkin cake is wonderful. Prices on everything are totally reasonable.My breakfast sandwich today was one of the best I've had- egg, cheddar, sausage and fresh sauteed vegetables. It was so tasty and felt way healthier than most breakfast sammies.Has a great little grocery section for necessities, which is very handy, and an entire freezer with pints of ice cream.The people there have all been friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's absolutely awesome to have this store so close to my work.

I recently moved to the area and finally had a chance to visit the Monroe Country Store. There is a large, gravel parking area immediately next to the store. The store has a lovely wooden porch and a beautiful, homey, wooden interior. There's a small seating area to the left when you first enter and a local Maine craft shelf off to the right. In the back, you'll find your typical convenience store items. The middle of the store has the counter area and kitchen. I had no issue ordering my pizza over the phone and the staff was very friendly when I entered to pick it up. The pizza had a soft, fluffy base with a crisp bottom. The crust was also of the soft and bready variety. The cheese was plentiful and delicious. The pie also had a tasty sauce. I'm definitely a fan of the pizza and will likely return soon to try some of the other foods!

Was on the way to Bangor from the midcoast region and stumbled upon this awesome general store. It was lunchtime and in my travels I enjoy finding small diners and eateries that serve up good quality. Wow! Ordered the 'steak bomb' sandwich... And she made it to perfection! It tasted so good I wanted to order another... But was so full it would've been foolish. Will be back!

Nice little country store with some pretty good food. The BLT was excellent! The bacon was perfectly cooked. I'll be back to try other food items as well. Oh and all of the staff were really nice and had no issues answering questions.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is an uncut diamond inside and the biggest buck in history was in the middle of swan lake Ave last night made 225 look like Bambi!

This is such a cute little country store. I love the selection of food, wine, and gluten free options that are included. Their sandwiches are to die for and i deeply appreciate their rotating monthly specials. If you're looking for a cup of excellent coffee, a friendly face, or a meal this is the place to go. The store itself has a lovely atmosphere with plants, and adorable tables. I appreciate the inclusivity and thoughtfulness that the staff show with such a wide variety of options for varying dietary restrictions.

It's a cute little country store, just like it's name. I've stopped in a few times on my way back to Brooks (in-laws home) from going to town. I get a soda or tea and every time they've been very friendly. I can't say enough. It's clean, cute and they're friendly. 💜

At 8:30 this morning I walked into your establishment and observed 4 local gentlemen enjoying a nice breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast in the dining area provided. Upon requesting a breakfast menu I was informed you dont serve a sit down breakfast but i could however get a breakfast sandwich from the warmer. My grandmother Ida was behind the counter there from 1962 until 1982 and she never once let anyone out the door without taking some of their hard earned money. That's the main focus of running a small town business. You people will soon be one more name on the list of folks who tried it. Thank God Wilson's has been a constant through the years.

Love, love, love this little store! Every item you order is made fresh. They have a wonderful selection to choose from. This little store caters to local producers icecream, cheese, meats, granola, and even artisan handicrafts! We picked up lunch and a few items for an impromptu party we were holding later that evening. Go there if you are driving by or on your way to the MOFGA Common Ground Fair!

Got lost in a snow storm and found this gem! Glad I did because it was the most delicious slice of Roni I have ever had I devoured the pour thing and was left with a greasy smile! Also grabbed a coffee and chatted with the folks which are real nice!

Friendly people. Bought a couple steaks bombs, fair flavor, the steak was not cooked enough and the sub roll was doughy. I don't recommend this place.
