Bought 2 packages of drumstick icecreams and drove about 5 minutes home and put in freezer. Unpacked the rest of my purchases and then opened one of the drumstick packages. At some point, obviously in the store, they had melted and refroze. Immediately went back to store, which was 20 minutes from purchase time. Clerk said there was nothing she could do because of time frame. REALLY?! She said they must have melted at my home and then refroze, all in 20 minutes apparently because they were still frozen! I even asked if we could check one there to see if they were the same and was told no. Horrible customer service! I took this picture at the store.

If i could give zero stars I would. Been a dollar general customer for YEARS. I live in greene and work in Winthrop. I was having severe bladder issues on my way to work one morning and I stopped in to the Winthrop location to use their restroom. I was greeted very poorly by an older lady that worker there and was told they don't have a bathroom. I urinated myself in my car because of this. Meanwhile I stop in today to grab something and guess what...a customer asked to use the bathroom and was given the key...Great way to discriminate against customers. How's despicable. Choose betteremployees. I wish i knew the name of the manager.

You used to be a corporation I enjoyed for the deals and selections of products and customer service. You all lost a great worker and should get her back!!! She was wrongly treated for long time and stuck it out... because she liked her job and the people she worked with. You all hire a power hungry so called person to be in control??? Do you know what abusing the power means?? She does it!!! You all have gone down hill for long time and I wont be buying from u all anymore...very disappointed in many corporations and now DG too cause it is all about greed and power...and you all are no different!!! You do not care about your people, just the almighty dollar! Sickens me!!

Oh how this store is my home away from home. I love having the ability to travel to a place that will have everything I need and then some. Granted some staff members are always away from the register but that is due to taking the pride they have in their store and show it by the cleanliness and presentation to the customer. By far the best Dollar General in Maine.

Great store great employees one of the best dgs I've been to. Clean restrooms, neat and mostly orderly, not always stocked often out of products especially sale items, could be better in that aspect

Decent little store. Best place near Beaver Brook campground for non food things you need while camping. We shop the Fryeburg location for small essentials and poopin coupons.

Went to the dollar general in Monmouth today and had to wait in line because they were only allowing 5 people in at a time. 5 people in the store that size. I can get 5 people in my bathroom without crowding. Seems like a little overkill to me..

Only 2 girls working (that I could see). Very friendly, very helpful. Knew their stuff - where certain items were. Great service!!

Monmouth location is very organized and looks clean...the staff is friendly and willing to help you out when looking for hard to find items!! Highly recommend going back!

Best addition to the Rt. 202 corridor. Conveniently located, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Kinda like walmart, but smaller.
