Ive been to Milinocket twice and both times Ive been to this General store. They have everything you need. Food, drinks, beer, souvenirs, and so much more. All the staff is friendly and made us feel welcomed. We were in town to visit Baxter State Park and climb Mt Katahdin and we even grabbed some hiking supplies there.

I once had a stellar review for this place... Now I would only recommend this place if you needed smokes and a scratch ticket! Pizza used to be pretty good but they got rid of most of the menu choices I liked. Always found the staff pleasant but I don't go to the store for the social atmosphere sadly. Some locals swear by this place and maybe you will like it too? But I personally recommend you bring your patronage elsewhere.

We ended up getting most of our meals here when we spent the holiday weekend in Millinocket. Most restaurants were closed or closed early. Great place, can't recommend enough!

This store is amazing but I ordered my first food delivery and I was not impressed. My salad looked amazing but when I asked the delivery driver where my salad dressing was he said it wasn't on the order. I'm clearly charged for ranch on attached receipt but could see the driver wasn't interested in making it right. The chicken strips 12.99 included 3 small flattened and one micro piece of chicken and fries. Not a hungry man meal by any means.

Oh yeah this place is great. Possibly your last stop shop depending on where you're headed. In the back of the store is like a mini LL Bean where you can get your last minute sporting goods, mantels, etc.,

Love this place ! Open till 10 is great for Maine. The grab and go food is really good and iv tried a variety of things. I'm a pretty picky guy and this place does not disappoint!!

Good spot to get something to remember your time at Baxter or pick up supplies. Do not buy wood if you are heading into the park I specifically asked them if I would be allowed to bring it into Baxter and they misguided me. The wood was confiscated at the ranger booth and the state supplied wood is cheaper than this store.

WOW!! This store has it ALL! When I say "has it all"....I literally mean HAS IT ALL! I spent about 2 hours in there just looking at everything they offered! Full liquor store...🍻🍹full kitchen to make food....🍔🍕 You need something for fishing 🎣 ✔ they've got it...you need something for snowmobiling ❄ ✔ they've got it...knives 🔪 ✔ got it....🕯 ✔ got it....clothing ✔ got it!!!! It's like a One Stop Shop! They also deliver ANYTHING they have in the store until 8pm!! 😱 superior customer service as well!! 👍 GREAT job!!!

There was a lot of stuff here; a kind of a grab bag shop. If you need something to eat, they have a refrigerated section with sandwiches, alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. There was the usual convenience store fare, but also a solid souvenir and clothing selection.

I grew up just down the street from the Katahdin General Store when the Higgins owned it. It was a great little store back then, and when I went in again the other day I really didn't expect much. The new owners really stepped up and improved the General Store and brought it to the present. I couldn't stay long to see alot of the products they offered, but that is ok, it just allows me to enjoy more of the store the next time I'm in.This has always been a store where you can get the amenities you forgot, whether you live down the road, or going to the lake and/or Baxter State Park. The new owners expanded it to add so much more.Great job.

With the 19th approaching and KG will be the only place in town for gas, I hope there will be a person available for the ppl just getting gas to keep that line open...if ppl need to buy things in the store I understand, but this could be a disaster if they are allowed to also shop while thier vehicles remain in front of the the pumps , it's been causing problems all summer long. I can't imagine how bad it will become after the 19th. My long time experience with kg has always been 100% , the clerks are professional and I love kg .

Not only can you pick up necessities for camping, you can pick up a variety of souvenirs, including clothing, hats, homemade items, etc., as well as fishing gear, etc. And if you were in a hurry to get to Baxter State Park and forgot to eat breakfast, you can pick up a hot coffee and muffin to get you started. Plus the staff was very helpful with information, as well as very friendly.
