Not thrilled. I've had better service at a gas station. Zero customer service on the several visits I've made. Employees are always talking with each other rather than interacting with customers. Not once have I ever been greeted when walking in the store.

Everything is extremely overpriced compared to other "supermarkets". The employees and brand selections lack lack customer interest. For all the processed shelf items on display,,it bemoans a pattern of unhealthy gouging.

Everyone is always friendly and welcoming! The store is well maintained and the selection of produce, meat, cheese, and everything else is great as well. New items are always coming in which I enjoy because we love trying new things. Having Rise and Grind in the store is always an added bonus!

Every time I go to this store, the staff is so shockingly rude. I am a friendly person and approach with a smile. I am always taken aback by their consistent nastiness. I don’t expect a cashier to be bubbly and happy all the time, but their rudeness is just shocking every time I go.Recently, I was there and they were announcing that they were closing and so only one door would be unlocked to leave. That’s all fine, but the announcement itself was so rude and unprofessional. A few minutes later, a staff member literally bashed a couple over the loud speakers for all to hear because they were going to the wrong door. When I got closer to them, I saw they spoke French, which is why they hadn’t known which door to go to. Completely uncalled for reaction by the staff. Being helpful is much more pleasant for all involved.My last straw happened when my son needed to use the bathroom while there. The bathroom was out of order. I attempted to use the employee bathroom next to it, but someone was in there with the door unlocked…weird enough that the door wasn’t locked. But then I was told the bathroom was for employees only. I explained I understood that but the other bathroom was out of order. He replied that I’m just going to have to deal with it.My son is a stroke survivor and he cannot just “deal with it.” He would go all over the floor. The look on my son’s face of such shock was when I had had enough. I don’t want my child thinking it is all right to allow people to treat others this way nor that it is all right for us to treat others in this manner.So I told him we were leaving and never coming back because the way they treat people here is unacceptable. We drove 10 minutes down the road and had a much better experience getting groceries and we will start driving the extra 10 minutes for friendlier service from now on.

This gem of grocery store in a small community is amazing. Had everything I was looking for and prices were good. A nice selection of produce, meats, local cheeses, butter, bread, etc. Nice wine selection as well. I have gone twice in 2 days. A very pleasant surprise while visiting this area.

This is a “Big Mac pizza”. Lettuce and pickles. I’ve ordered this exact pizza countless times and it’s never looked like this. they gave me a huge attitude for bringing it back and wouldn’t refund me. I drove half an hour here for them to mess my pizza up and then the lady in the deli was rude as hell. They said they have a lot of different staff members that do things differently and apparently the last 10 times I got this pizza it must have been wrong according to her book. Sounds like they need to get it together and they have terrible customer service. I won’t be spending my money here anymore.

I have mixed feeling about this place. The employees are always rude to my husband. Have also had employees blatantly staring at me while they’re on a smoking brake. Yet I have also had other employees be nice to me and my kids. So don’t really know how to feel about this local store.

The employees need education about wearing masks. It is for the greater good to protect the community. I am disappointed that store manager has not generated a wish to keep everyone safe. Winter is coming and there are not a lot of resources if you are sick.

While I haven't been in the store recently, its always had a good selection and sometimes the hard to find stuff. Prices always decent and pre-covid this place had the BEST salad bar!I went through the drive thru for the Cafe my most recent visit. If youre driving through before 11a be sure to call ahead for a breakfast sandwich, so good. Coffee us always delicious as well, any time of day!

Bayside is a good place to go for one or two items and cannot go to Ellsworth or Machias for them. The fresh food is always fresh and looks good. The employees are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you in anyway they can. The store is always clean and is faced twice a day if not more when there is a slow time. The only complaint I have and what keeps me from giving five stars is the price. Example, I love bran flakes and for a family sized box of bran flakes in Ellsworth the price is 3.97 before tax. At bayside the cost for a normal size box is 3.69 before tax. So for quick in a pinch need things I go there and enjoy the store and speaking with ppl but the prices are not reasonable for ppl who live close to poverty line. Which is sad as this is a wonderful place with amazing ppl

Great store. As a small business they still try to have a good selection. I saw other reviews saying that the staff wasn't the most pleasant, but i haven't seen that. Also someone said that they didn't have a bathroom, they do have one and it is located in the left rear section. We shop here when we don't want to drive an additional 25 miles to a larger store.

I Always get Great Friendly Professional Service from these Folks and their Produce and Salad Bar are definitely second to None in my opinion .IF there ever is a problem with any of their Products it is taken care of always to the Customers advantage immediately it's a Great Little Home Town Supermarket !

I've been shopping here for years but have decided to use the Columbia Falls store in the future. The Milbridge store no longer has normal deli operation or anyone working in the meat department and only a limited selection of normal grocery items on the shelves. I asked today about the deli and meat department operation and was told if I called in the morning they could possibly have the items available for pick up later in the day.

Love the selection of specialty breads, spices, and cheeses. They support other local businesses by carrying their items. There is also a nice little coffee shop. For a local place they impress with me selection. Prices are bit high but it’s pretty far up here!

I have used the store for the last three years when visiting my son in your community. I was so relieved when we came to visit to see everybody in the store masked and protective barriers in place. I stopped in the store four times during my visit… Always wearing my mask. This morning was my last visit to the store at 8:45 AM. I saw three employees. One wearing her mask around her neck and the other two without any masks visible. I spoke to the cashier about putting on her mask and she said she was covering phones as well as checking out. She couldn’t answer the phone wearing the mask. All this explanation going on with her sputtering over my food purchases. I almost left without making my purchases but I needed the food for my ride home. Please understand that if I was contaminated by your cashier you will hear from the state of Vermont Health Department. I shop the Hannaford in my Vermont community where their employees wear their masks. I trust the service that I get here in Vermont but I can’t say the same about Milbridge Maine. Please correct this health contamination issue and hopefully make note of the employees working this morning should the health department be in touch.

For a small hometown kind of store, it had all the essentials. I needed to use the restroom and was told there was a port-o-john outdoors to the left of the store.I am not sure if this was a temporary thing, or if they simply don't have restrooms inside. Otherwise, the store prices were inline with other grocery stores and the cashiers were friendly, which is a welcoming nicety!
