The main grocer in Machias. Fresh produce, bakery, seafood, deli, major beer selection, wine, and spirits. Even offer classes online to improve your diet and health. Great website with coupons and recipes.

Good grocery store. It's small town so don't expect to be able to find everything. They do carry some "specialty" items. There's a small gluten free section and a small vegan section in the produce. The staff here are friendly and the store is clean. This is the store I come to, to get my cold breakfast and lunch supplies when on vacation in the area.

Staff is very helpful here. Very courteous, polite and willing to help. The deli here is Great, and the meat department does a great job also! Good cuts on the meats, fresh cut, and priced well. All items are stocked well and easy to find. My only Small complaint was that I bought 2 fresh packs of strawberries, but when unpacking at home I noticed that both packs were 1/2 moldy. I don't normally shop here because I live about 45 mins away. It would have cost too much for gas to be worth it to return. In their defense, I've seen this at several grocery stores before also. Besides that one small thing- I have zero complaints. Great place!

This shop reminded me of my rural supermarkets in Zimbabwe where everyone is friendly. The staff in the parking lot, the sales team, and manager helped make our brief stay memorable. We discovered all the goodies for my littlegals and picked plenty fresh fruit and vegetables. I think this is one brand that I would want in my neighbourhood

Still find a great deal of outdated food. This is a crime because the prices are so high, and there is no competition. What's worse than spending a great deal of money for items ready to go bad?I hate complaining about the store because I really like so many of the staff, who are professional, helpful, and very friendly.

Hannaford is an integral part of my maine experience and I really do like the food especially the prepared stuff because I'm zooming through looking for eats, not anything to cook. I had some amazing donuts. Thank you for the donuts.

We went shortly after they opened, was very clean and ppl were very friendly and helpful. Their produce section was a little smaller then what I would expect for a store of their size however and their fresh bread section had a loaf of Italian bread that had mold on it so I was no exactly impressed with that. But if I had to score it I would say a solid 7.5 out of ten. Would definitely go there again for food shopping just being very careful to inspect any of the fresh baked produce.

This is a small grocery store but they carry some interesting, unique brands. Organic is hard to come by and the gluten-free products are limited. Their "natural" section is small but has some important items. Staff is friendly and try to be helpful.

It's convenient to have a Hannaford store in town but they never switch it up or get any new foods. It is good if you need something in a hurry.

Has the basics. Although, their inventory changes frequently. Have returned to buy a product I liked, only to find it's no longer carried. Only grocery store in town, so the prices can be high. Especially, vegetables and meat.It has a pharmacy, so that is convenient. They are limited on some medications. But, there are other pharmacies in town.Plenty of parking.

This is a great grocery store. The produce section is fresh and offers a good variety of fruits, vegetables, salads, amd specialty cheeses, meats, and salads like taboukeh, hummis, tzatziko, and babaganoush. There are easy to warm up prepared meals, and a fresh meat market. The seafood is delicious! We bought salmon windmeals, precooked lobster, and shrimp, and filet steaks, and enjoyed it all.

Nice store could have more of a selection. They have a few organic produce items. Would like a better selection of Panera soup other than broccoli cheese tomato or squash. I didn't check out if they had any of Amy's Organic in the freezer section. Also would like hot breakfast sandwiches.

Overpriced, few selections and hardly ever carry what I am looking for. On top of it all, I am disabled and have to use a handicap electric cart. The isles are too narrow to maneuver the electric cart. What makes matters worse for a disabled person is to have to negotiate around all of those damn displays that they put in the isles. You cannot maneuver around the people, while still trying not to knock over the damn displays in ever isle. If that is not enough, they put those damn floor displays right in front of an item that you need. But cannot get due to the floor displays blocking it. It makes all disabled people feel like a third class citizen. Because if stores truly care about the disabled, they would have wider isles, no floor displays in every isle. Making it possible to maneuver around people without having a floor display in their way. It is sad that stores do not walk a mile in a disabled person's shoes. If they did, then maybe, just maybe they would see the error of their ways and remove any and all floor displays off of and out of every isle. Because it is the right and moral thing to do. Are stores going to choose money over the disabled. By knowing what disabled people go through. And yet still choose to put floor displays in every isle because they make a few extra bucks. Instead of saying, you know what? We could make more money, by putting up floor displays in every isle. But, that would hinder a disabled person's ability to have a positive shopping experience. So we will not do that, because we will choose making a disabled person's life just a little better over money any day of the week and twice on Sunday. I did not want to give a one star rating, but it made me choose at least one star in order to send review. This is exactly why the disabled people do not like to go out. It is just too damn hard and difficult to do such a thing.

At one time this was a fantastic well staffed and serviced store,but it has been replaced with a plethora of Hannaford brand items to replace other sought after brands. I do not feel the local emplyees are consulted before shelves are stacked. Cheese variety has been diminished . The produce section is improving slowly but frequently I cannot rely on the freshness of everything I buy there.

Good, I couldn't find everything I needed, for example marinated Mozzarella Balls, there were several in water cheese balls. I also couldn't find Manchego cheese and they used to have sticks of Dry Salami but now the bins are replaced with pepperoni. It's very difficult to get good meats, cheeses, anything for a decent Charcuterie.

Always go to this Hannaford on vacation so we aren't exactly getting healthy food for the most part. But they have a lot of great produce and baked goods for the sweet tooth, as well as nice snacks and ice cream. Not to mention the liquor aisle! Always has what we need each year

Great selection, fair prices, good fresh quality food. Most employees are very kind and helpful. Only complaint is the repetitive rudeness from one of the girl's in the bakery. So I just avoid the bakery when she is there which is unfortunate to feel the need to do so, but otherwise overall great store.

This is a really nice supermarket! Good selection of merchandise and very friendly staff. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because their prices are a little high overall, because they're the only show in town.

Not the biggest or best stocked Hannaford, but not bad for the only supermarket within 20 miles. Shop here almost weekly and have had no issues. I recommend the pharmacy.

Being a supermarket employee for over 15 years in NY, I never heard of taking bottle deposits and not having a way of getting reimbursed, I just threw away over 2 dollars without them being able to redeem my empty bottles. Won't happen ever again.
