We loved staying in these great cabins by the sea. Rustic and cozy! Quiet, beautiful views. We had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the deck and watch the lighthouses, watch the sun, and enjoy the fresh clean air. Loved meeting Bill. He had great stories, and suggested great things to see in the area. We loved our stay and would love to stay here again!!

We stayed in “Yeaton”, it was very charming & cozy. We only stayed one night so we didn’t get to utilize the kitchen area but that was great to have. Access to the second floor deck was amazing, we were able to sit out and enjoy the sunset. Closeness to the lighthouse and ocean was an added bonus!

Loved the roominess of the Bouy Barn! Clean and well laid out. Quiet place to sleep and convenient to downtown Lubec. Don't miss coffee at Narrow Escape!

We stayed at the Lodge in the Washington room. It was absolutely charming. Full kitchen and living room. The back patio has an amazing view. Self check-in (door unlock, key on the table). We walked to the lighthouse. Beautiful sunset on the patio. Would definitely stay there again.

We recently stayed at the "Cabin" and throughly enjoyed it! Clean yet rustic with comfortable beds,a more than ample small kitchen complete with more than enough utensils for any meal. Grounds were nice as well with nice views and literally a few minutes drive to West Quoddy light state park for a phenomenal sunrise. Highly recommend staying here if in the area. Check in/out was no issue as well. Thanks!!

West Quoddy Station, the Buoy Barn, is a perfect place to visit Lubec and surrounding areas. Two queen beds and a kitchen in a very large room gives us all the room and amenities we need, including washer and dryer after five. We love walking our dogs down to the water and around the property. Bill is a super helpful host.

One of our best stays while in Maine, the property is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. We stayed in the Washington unit at the Lodge and had a very comfortable stay. We were able to watch the sun set from the deck outside of our unit and the next morning we walked to the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and watched the sunrise at the Easternmost point in the US (around 4:15 am in May). The owners of the property were very kind and took time to talk with us about the property's history and so much more. The unit was well equipped and the bed felt as if we were sleeping on clouds. Also, you have access to washers and dryers at no charge...a huge bonus!! This is certainly a place I want to visit again and can't wait to plan our next trip to Maine and West Quoddy Station.

(2018) We came in late to stay here just for one night but had a great experience. Lots of cool stuff to look at in the cabin and definitely a unique feel to it.The only downside was with the crazy wind we were having the front door was not very tight and made a knocking noise. I took a piece of cardboard and used it as a soft spacer to keep it from moving.

I meant to post this review a couple years ago, but I guess it's better late than never. My family spends a lot of time traveling but this place is the one, probably most remembered. My family and I stayed a couple nights in the house on our way to Halifax and we always agree that there is a feeling that we experienced here, like none other. The scenic views, the owner with a wealth of information, the history, the house, the pictures on the walls, it all added to what made this place so special! It is worth the travel and one day we will be back

We stayed in the Keeper’s Cottage. We loved it. It had beautiful views and was a wonderful experience for our family. Having a kitchen, bathroom with shower, and laundry facilities was fantastic after some time spent camping. It’s just a short drive to the lighthouse and it’s nice trails. Lubec is a quiet cute little town but there are things to do like boat charters. We LOVED West Quoddy Station and if we ever come back to the area we would absolutely stay there again.

The location was lovely and the people friendly. We stayed in the small original cabin, which appeared fairly clean upon entrance. However, the rafters were dusty, the bear head is gross, and there were cobwebs nearly everywhere above. There are also mice in the walls… My allergies were horrendous and I am allergic to mice and rats, maybe that was the culprit, maybe it was something else? You could hear them scratching/running around come nightfall and squeaking at each other in the walls of this cabin. My biggest concern would be public health and the threat of hantavirus - which is deadly. Hopefully, that isn’t something we acquired!

Loved staying here! We stayed at the “kimball.” We took some time to read up on it while we were waiting to head out. The staff provides you with extensive information about the area and Lubec in a nice little binder. They also have a “WQS Journal” which was so fun to see other peoples experiences staying here. It was so nice to stay in a little piece of history!

The lighthouse is beautiful and the accomodations are fantastic. Each cabin is just right, and the views are not to be missed. This was our first Downeast Maine experience, but it will not be our last!

We spent the night out at West Quoddy Lodge and walked to the Lighthouse to watch the sunrise. One of my favorite lighthouses and I love the hiking trails nearby!

As someone stationed at Cutler in the mid-90s, I spent significant time at West Quoddy, specifically walking her trails. This year, I wanted to take my husband and daughter up to the true Downeast—to show them everything that I loved about the area 20 years ago. When I saw that Quoddy Station was available, we jumped at the opportunity to spend a few nights there. It was luxury I couldn’t afford as a young enlisted sailor. We stayed simplistic...at “the Cabin” and it was the most fun I’ve ever had on vacation. Even in the little cabin, everything we needed was there. Plates, cookware, towels, soft linens all welcomed us to the ease of our temporary home. The coziness made it magical. The views made it awe-inspiring.I cannot wait to visit again. Bill is 100% ☺️♥️

We stayed in The Cabin. Lovely property and well maintained. Rustic. Quiet. Convenient to state park - could have walked there had we chose. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely would stay here again!

Don't know how anyone could rate this place at anything less than 5 stars. Bill has created a wonderful getaway in an old Coast Guard station in one of the loveliest places in the country.Don't let the age of the historic buildings fool you. Accommodations are very modern on the inside and very clean. On-site FREE washer and dryer use in the utility area (not in the units) . Satellite TV. Microwaves, refrigerators and stoves in the units. Irons and ironing board available. No air conditioning, but with the almost always present ocean breezes you won't need A/C anyway."Low stress" is the key way to describe the entire stay here. So quiet and serene. No parking hassles. Getting settled in is a snap.Lots of outdoor space, decks and patio areas. And the views of the bay and Campobello Island are amazing. Less than a mile from West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and the easternmost spot on the USA. Just 10 minutes to Lubec, Maine and the bridge to Campobello Island.Bill and his staff are so helpful and attentive. Can ask them anything. Can't do enough to ensure your stay is pleasant.

Beautiful sight for pictures and views of the ocean. There is also a path that has a nice hike , picnic tables and stairs going down to the beach.

I was pleasantly impressed. Rented the room up the steps to the right at the winding steps. It was fully stocked and very cared for. The views all over were wonderful. Bill was extremely helpful and kind! Fabulous experience for me as a big city girl. Thank you Bill!

Well, this was definitely a unique experience. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The actual accommodations are substandard. The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable, it felt like a really old mattress, and the pillows were thin and useless.

Bill and his crew at West Quoddy has made our work experience in Lubec great. Our crew has been staying at the Station house for a month while installing a solar array on a local grocery store. Our crews have loved their stay and look forward to more time in Lubec. West Quoddy is a special place and I would highly recommend everyone to go visit!

Spent two days at the station house, a lovely time was had by all. Best views in Lubec, and that is saying a lot. Comfortable and homey, interesting pictures, books.Get some lobsters and clams, cook them up, pour cocktails, five stars for sure.

While I can't comment on the location due to my trip having to be canceled due to a family emergency, I can't say enough about Bill's willingness to assist me. I very much look forward to staying as soon as we are able.

We stayed in Crews Quarters. Aside from the dust throughout the place, it was a cute house and would have been a fun family rental with a beautiful view had the weather been warmer. Unfortunately, this building is not adequately heated. Both the primary heater and a gas-powered ceramicwood stove are located in the main room. We couldn't get the ceramic stove to fire an actual flame beyond the pilot light so we had only the main heater, which didn't even really warm up the main room very well. The bedrooms were freezing and, therefore, miserable for sleeping even with extra blankets. The mattress on my bed was average but not super comfortable. It is really close and convenient for early morning access to the lighthouse to watch the sunrise and hike the park land.

Bill is super helpful and runs the place with a hands on approach. Station House is immaculate. Full large kitchen, family room. Ocean breezes from all sides. Wish I had booked more time.
