I am a SUPER picky pizza person and this is, by far, the BEST pizza I have EVER had! (outside of NYC. And that was years ago.). Every single place I've tried (and there are hundreds, coast to coast), just cannot get it right. Morano's gets it 100%. I am utterly bummed that I live 400 miles away because I would order multiple ones to freeze and have on hand if I could! Pizza sauce should not ever be sweet in any way, shape or form. Morano's is the perfect savory sauce. The cheese is full of flavor and the crust is perfectly thin in the center and puffy/crunchy on the edges. My mouth is watering thinking about it and looking at the pic I took. Every pizza place in the country should take a lesson from Morano's cause this is the absolute real deal.

If you want pizza in the Town of Lubec, this happens to be just about your only choice. Fortunately, Morano’s does a nice job preparing the pies. They focus on pizza, just pizza and have become good at it. The crust is good, crunchy where it needs to be and the sauce adds to the favor. Because they are popular, they do run out of pizza from time to time. Tip: You are better off to call early and get your order in on the nights they are open. The pizza makers are pleasant and try to accommodate.

Had Morano's for the first time and it's amazing NY style pizza. We're Italians, originally from Philly/South Jersey area and now live in Maine and we've only found 3 legit NY style pizza places in state in the past 11 years that we love, now Morano's makes the 4th one we've found. The cheese pizza was terrific, great flavor from the sauce & the garlic knots were also great. We're going back again before we leave Lubec and probably will have to make a pizza pilgrimage up this way more often.

My boyfriend and I ate here two of the four nights of our trip-great pizza with fresh ingredients! There is seating outside and cornhole/other yard games while you wait if you don't order ahead. We took our pizza to go - there are several picnic tables around various areas of Lubec with beautiful ocean views. I highly recommend enjoying them with a Morano's pizza in hand

Strange experience here. It’s possible that they have the best Italian food in Maine, but I’ll never know; we left because the woman behind the counter refused to give us what we asked for. It would be great to try their food with more accommodating service.My friend politely asked for lighter cheese on one half of a pizza because she has lactose issues. The lady behind the counter flat-out refused more than once, saying “cheese or no cheese, that’s how I make ‘em,” with this energy like we had asked for the moon and the stars and she was putting her foot down, ready to die on that hill. I have never encountered so much resistance to such an easy request. I have worked at two pizza places, and this is not a big ask; in fact, I have never heard of anyone objecting to it.Maybe this woman had just had a tough day, but why hurt the business over it? Whoever gets a bad experience tells other people. If there are other staff who are friendlier and more helpful, and the food is as good as it looks in the photos, then it’s a shame that one staff member is driving away business from a place, when other staff members might be going above and beyond.

Fantastic pizza. Just what any small community would want. Great business owner making fresh hot pies that are absolutely delicious. For those of you leaving 1 star reviews because a business does not have ‘something’ you want versus what is on there menu, well, that is just pathetic, Seriously pathetic. Great pizza, highly recommend.

Had the pleasure of curb-size pick-up from this amazing, all-female team of professional pizza-makers. Seriously delicious, thin crust pizza, with fresh toppings. You can tell it is cooked in a smokin’ hot oven, as the crust has those crispy spots with char, and then a good chew. Excellent! The web page made ordering and paying a breeze. Took our pizza and stromboli to Stockford Park, watched the tide go out, and filled our bellies with some of the tastiest authentic pizza you can get north of Brooklyn.

I’ve wanted to try this place for years and I finally had the chance to today. The Bianca pizza was the most amazing pizza I’ve ever had. The should be rated a 5.0, it’s that good. If you’re in Lubec you have to eat here one night.

Delicious and flavorful. The artichokes and olives were a really unique addition to the veggie pizza. The stromboli was super cheesy. They give you a good amount of marinara for dipping. They even provided a couple Italian candies. A must stop!

Really excellent pizza. The crust, the sauce, and toppings were first rate. The white pie, with just the right amount of ingredients was really a standout. We enjoyed a plain pie, white pie, pie with beef, a calzone, and meatball parm sandwich and ALL were first rate. Excellent pizza for anywhere. Finding in the easternmost town in US was really a great surprise. Owners were real nice too.Update...August 2019...still going strong and if anything, even better than last year. This is excellent pizza. While you may be thinking seafood while in this part of the world, this is a very worthy detour from that plan!

I picked up my pizza and by the time I got home the box was sopping wet!Because this pizza is so good I walked in the rain to get it. Sure, you came to Maine for the seafood but don't leave town without getting a pie or two or three from this place.

We stopped here just when they opened. We enjoyed conversation with the owners, while we waited, and the pizza, when we got it home to eat was one of the best we have had. Good thin crust and just the right amount of toppings. We returned recently, and we are eating as I write this. SUPERB again. I wish these owners a successful and long tenure in Lubec.
