Very convenient location. Excellent winter check-in process. Pleasantly reliable heat and hot water systems. Nice quiet, clean room that had everything my dog and I needed. Mattress was comfortable. Night sky is beautiful! There was some sort of perfume scent in the bedding that was lasting and overpowering. I would have been happier if it wasn't present or less overwhelming. The bathroom is very attractively updated. Could use a grab bar near the toilet for seniors who are not accustomed to low toilets anymore. Cable TV could use a better channel package. That may be an unfair judgment on my part because I haven't watched Cable/Network TV in more than 7 years. Lol...I'm now reminded why!I would not hesitate to stay at this motel again. Thank you.Jill Constantine, Room 6, 11/19/2023

Great clean rooms with essential amenities. Towels were old, fragile and rough but clean.Check in and out were done very conveniently and not an issue regardless of time of arrival.

The location was perfect for my three day hiking trip. So many trails on the coastline I didn’t know about till the front desk gave me a huge map. Very friendly staff, comfy clean room. Loved the fresh muffins with the continental breakfast. Quiet and peaceful. Only two complaints I had where the in room ac was noisy and didn’t work great & the bathroom had no vent. For the price I paid I’d stay here again if I get the opportunity.Rooms: Comfy beds, clean, quietNearby activities: So many hiking opportunities. Most on the coastline.Food & drinks: Not many places to get hot food in town during the week. Local store that does do good all week closes kitchen at 5:30. Luckily I brought my portable grill. Dollar general is only store open past 8. The local brewery is worth a stop.

I really can’t say enough about this place and the staff. We had an incident with a rental car and had to stay at the motel for 11hrs after we checked out. The staff continuously checked on us, offered us trips to the store for food and drinks, use of staff bathroom and sitting area. Terri and Minzy and ladies were truly kind and helpful humans. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent place.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Canada. Price was great. Desk clerk took the time to tell us all about the area and the history of the town and the amazing hiking and parks in the area. From the outside, it's unassuming, but the inside had a nice little lending Library, and the rooms! The rooms are REALLY well appointed - flooring is new, furnishings are modern, bathroom was grerat, everything very clean. You would never guess from the exterior how spiffy it is inside! Breakfast with homemade muffins. Highly recommend, and we want to come back to check out the parks.

As someone said, this place is not the Hilton. This building has the kind of quirks you would expect in an old-school motel. Despite this, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my stay. What really makes this place stand out is the people. I was greeted in the reception area by John, who welcomed me warmly and spent a great deal of time sharing information on local restaurants and attractions. He instantly felt like an old friend. The room was very clean, and there was even a binder with maps and a trivia page about the area. Every employee I encountered was incredibly friendly and obviously cared about a job done well. It was really warming to experience this kind of personal touch in today's world.

This hotel was the best of our entire New England trip. We stayed in the newer wing. The room was spacious. We had an issue with a loose, unfriendly dog in the hallway. (Owners must not have shut the door.) The lady at the front desk immediately called the dog owners, and the hotel owner got involved. He apologized and said that dog owners had to leave. He strives for a family-friendly environment.

Terri was an excellent hostess! She greeted us warmly and had recommendations for visiting the area. The room was in a newly built wing. It was inside a corridor which made it feel safer (more like a Hotel). The room had beautiful hardwood floors, clean and quiet. The only thing missing was a mini refrigerator. For traveling with a cooler also no ice machine (but there is a Dolllar General or IGA close by for ice). Great location! Not to far from local lighthouses and Campebello Island in Canada.🇨🇦

This motel was very cozy and clean. The room was spotless and quite big. Even though it wasn't mentioned that there would be any breakfast, there was some available. But it's only during summer and it is a basic breakfast with homemade muffins, yoghurt, coffee and juice. The staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this motel to everyone. The only downside might be, that there aren't any restaurants nearby and those in Lubec tend to close early, even in summer.

The Eastland is a GREAT place. The rooms are updated, modern, clean, and VERY comfortable. And the bed?? We literally asked owner Heather where she got it, the model of it, and ordered one. It will be here next week. No kidding. Best mattress we ever slept on. Can't say enough good things about the Eastland or the people who run it. And when you stay there you are contributing to the Lubec community. Heather is prolific in her contributions of resources, sweat, and tears when needed in Washington County, one of the poorest counties in the country. While we live in Lubec, the Eastland was a safe refuge from the hurricane last week when our home in low, flood-able area was at risk!!

Older, but well maintained, very clean, excellent bed. GREAT staff, very helpful. The homemade muffins were a nice touch. Room was decent sized. Pet friendly!!Rooms: decently sized, with wifi, flat screen, etc. all the necessities. I could hear the couple in the room next door as they began to bang around in the morning to leave.Nearby activities: Very scenic area at the far eastern tip of Maine...bridge crossing into Campobello Island, the Roosevelt retreat, but technically it IS in Canada...passport required

Nothing bad to say; clean rooms and great service. Also,, the motel is close to a gas station, Dollar General, and the Canadian border. There's a small town with a coffee shop, restaurant, and brewery right before the Canadian border - which is a bridge.Bring a passport and walk to Canada 😁

The rooms were clean, warm and amazingly big. The view out of our window was stunning in its simplicity. The owners were accommodating when we asked to dry our clothes,(we rode our motorcycles up, 4 1/2 hours through the rain). The freshly made muffins for breakfast were moist and bursting with flavor. The beds were comfortable and big, warm and just enough blankets. The sheets were clean and smelled great also, (im a nut about clean sheets) . There was also a book shelf full of different kinds of books and games for all. Well worth the price and trip up there. We will definitely have to try and get up there again so we can stay there. Love, love, loved it!!!

We loved the Eastland Motel. It's a little gem of a find. All the staff we met were so friendly & helpful (Sasha, Michele & the owner Heather.) Rooms were clean, beds firm and comfy, & homemade blueberry & raspberry muffins in the morning. Quiet AC in room & the room was a great size for a family of four. Lots of room. Loved the hardwood floors too. Definitely recommend & plan on returning there again when we visit Maine.

Stayed here yet again, in August of 2023, and it was just as wonderful as the last time. It was even better, actually, since we'd brought a bunch of friends with us, and occupied a total of five rooms! ;-) Quiet, clean, and comfortable. (Perhaps the only rowdies were us, in the evenings.) A light Continental breakfast - blueberry muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee - was more than enough for us, and available at 7:30 every morning. AND, unlike a lot of places, if you have a dog, it's not a problem as long as they know that when you make your reservation. They have rooms that are dog-friendly and others that are specially set up for handicapped access.FIRST REVIEW:Appalled that I can't find my first review here. We stayed here for a week in June of 2020, and it was an excellent value. It was quiet, though there were multiple other guests. The bed was comfortable and gave a great night's sleep. No, there were no fancy high-end fancy trinkets or gimicks - just a clean, quiet room with working ait conditioning (it was 90 outside during the day!). Would go back here in a heartbeat the next time we go to Lubec!

Fantastic people. We met the owners and several helpers, especially Josh that worked with our phones to fill out the App. for our trip to Campobello.Spotless, comfortable and convenient to downtown. When we arrived we walked into the office and were greeted with the biggest smile and biggest "welcome" by the biggest guy. It was wonderful! And fair priced.
