Great restaurant, gorgeous views from the deck, and glorious staff. Lubec has so much to offer and this place is one you shouldn’t miss. One of the best lobster rolls I had in Downeast Maine. Very generous portions and extremely fair prices. The kids will enjoy too.

Frank's can be busy at the dinner hour. For a restaurant with small seating area, the menu can be extensive with printed menu items plus chalkboard specials. There are a lot of Italian and Greek menu specials at times. The kitchen is small and Frank is busy back there. My wife.loved the Crab cakes, lots of crab. Local color is added by a guy who comes in and interacts with Frank, the staff and occasionally the clientele.

Food was delicious. I had the Maple glazed salmon with heavenly mashed potatoes, and plenty of veggies. I was with a party of four. Everyone commented on their food. We were too hungry to take pictures.

Place was easy to find and delicious food; the portions were ENORMOUS! Waiter was very attentive and friendly, and we had a wonderful experience. Only complaint would be the noise level, however that's not a problem with the restaurant. 4.5/5.

So many cute and unique finds. I really enjoyed browsing the store, and buying my treasures. I wish we would have gotten more, but we only had so much room in our luggage. I would definitely buy from there again, even on line if we never make it back to the area.

Small, hometown feel with delightful staff. Over looks international bridge & harbor. We all ordered seafood which was expensive but yummy.

Great food and decent prices. The deck in the summer months provides a beautiful scene while dining. Dinner is generally very busy so "off hours " is a good time to eat in the summer. The service and wait time is still exceptional when busy but the smallish dinning area can feel a bit cramped. Good place to chow

Good service. Very good haddock sandwich. Limp french fries, although we had been assured that they would be crispy. Excellent seafood chowder. Limited beer and wine selection, but the local red ale was just right for the fish sandwich.

I went for the lobster roll because Maine is know for its lobster. Man, I was not disappointed! I'm usually not reviewed food because it is subjective but this time is exceptional. Service was also good and food was great and the view was exceptional! The only thing was these guys run at Canada time zone, which is 1 hour behind the EST. I had to wait an hour before they opened at 11:00am.

The store had a very good aesthetic. Good music and nice candles really made searching through beautiful and unique jewellery all the more pleasant. The available coffee and sandwiches just topped off this incredible store. A true gem.

Worst experience we’ve ever had. Rude, slow and below average food. We had a table of 4 eating lunch and enjoying drinks, one couple left so the waitress to us we had to take our food to a table for 2, in the middle of lunch. When we asked why she told us “your a dime a dozen” referring to her having the only Oceanside outdoor seating in the town and people don’t have a choice when getting off the ferry. We also witnessed 2 other tables leave before being served after waiting and witnessing her rude behaviourFood was average

Went last year twice and was very happy. This year when we came to Lubec to visit we were looking forward to eating here again. This year we ate here twice. First time the soup that was on special was chicken with rice. Very little flavor, very very bland. Also had the "fish fins" appetizer, last year this was awesome, this year no flavor and small portions. We decided to give Frank's another try the next day. This time we ordered the fried scallops. Portion was pretty small for the price. The worst is when we tried to eat them they smelled of ammonia, which means they are way past fresh and on their way out. We returned the dish and left.Sad, what was a place we told everyone we met as a place to try, slid to the point where we would probably warn people about going.

Huge portions of delicious food. My favorites are the prime rib and the fettuccine alfredo. The restaurant is small, but don't let that stop you. It is especially nice out on the deck on a warm afternoon. The staff is friendly and the place has a really nice vibe.

We were forgotten about until we asked about how much longer and saw 3 people who ordered after us get there food.... Then they started to cook our meal. Over an hour waiting for food with 2 hungry kids was not fun.Spaghetti with marinara was good but my husband's fried dinner was swimming in grease.Nice view but very unhappy with the restaurant.

We've never had a bad meal at Frank's. However, on Canada Day we took our Canadian friends there for dinner after celebrating the day exploring Campobello Island. Many, many people who came in and were seated after us, were served before us. What the heck??!! When we asked what was up with that we were told my meal, baked haddock, takes longer to cook. I don't think so!!

Nice view and very friendly staff but mediocre food (at least the buffalo chicken sandwich and the crab roll) and almost nonexistent beer/wine offerings, which was disappointing given Maine's penchant for local beer. Not the best value either, though not atrocious.

We have dined there a few times in the past and have been very pleased with everything, tonight we were with another couple and we waited an unreasonable amount of time for our meals to come while people who were seated after us were served before us. Not sure what happened tonight. 😟 Food was delicious.

Frank's is a surprise jewel in the Eastern most city in USA. Frank is owner and chef. He puts his heart, talent, and live of great food into every dish. We visit Love, ME twice a year and always include at least one night each trip at Frank's Dockside Restaurant for a memorable dining experience.

Rented a house near by with my wife and had take out, we had the bacon wrapped scallops with a citrus saladAnd the marsala chicken. I can imagine having food there while enjoying the scenery, thank you for an amazing dinner Frank!

Beautiful addition to the Lubec waterfront. Lots of different unique and locally-based gift ideas, well organized, and very fairly priced. There are also snack options and lunch options, such as fresh sandwiches, for those who want a bite. Definitely worth a visit while in Lubec.

Service was absolutely terrible. We went there because no place else around was open and we were famished. It took us 45 minutes to receive 3 sandwiches. I explicitly ordered a drink as well but the wait staff never provided the beverage and claimed it was never ordered. Food was ok, but overpriced. Plan to be there a good long time and not get what you paid for.

How on Earth am I the first one to review Frank's? Franks Dockside Restaurant & Take-Out is an extremely high quality eatery tucked away on Water Street in Lubec, Maine. Frank has been a Lubec fixture for many years working his way up the restaurant business before opening his own place, Franks, a few years ago. While the menu may be slightly more expensive than some of his immediate competitors the quality of the food is comparable to any of the better quality establishments in Washington D.C. for a fraction of their prices. So if you ever travel as far out as our little eastern most town in the United States, Frank's is a must visit. Oh. And order the special of the day, whatever that happens to be, and you will not be disappointed.

Food was good. Prices were very reasonable. We ate outside on the deck. A pleasant dining experience after spending the day at Campobello. Nothing bad to say about the place at all.

Very dumpy place to have separate lunch and dinner menus. No lunch items after 4 pm. Would understand if this was a high end restaurant, but as the name states, it's a little joint with a deck. It appears that there are no good choices in Lubec. Couldn't find any so headed back south.

Frank's is the best restaurant between Belfast ME. and Canada in all directions. From seafood to steaks, pasta to chicken, every meal is delicious. On my most recent visit I thoroughly enjoyed eggplant parmigiana.

The food is top shelf. The menu is amazingly varied. I dont know how he does it. The hardest working chef in north Maine. I watched him , its a marathon event. Anyone in the area needs to visit.

If you like a little heat, GET THE SUICIDE FRIES! Get 2 batches of the suicide fries. Don't get other food... Just get the suicide fries. (Okay, get the crab roll too... It was pretty good.) Our server, Gregg, was really friendly!
