Medium sized store suitable for most grocery needs. Prices are comparable to other grocery stores in the area. Unfortunately the produce is sub par and generally spoils very quickly. Long time employees are not the most pleasant to deal with and are just rude if they don't know you. There are new employees that are very friendly and more than willing to assist.

Pleasantly surprised by the store. I'm guessing it is owned by Hannaford as they carry Hannaford branded items. Pricing is comparable to other larger stores, heck even cheaper at times. Very happy I finally ventured in. Definitely check it out.

For a small town grocery store, their variety and prices are very good. The shelves are well stocked, the staff is friendly and they stock some local products. "Local" is important to me in a grocery store, and I think they could do more of it. It is a win, win, win situation when stocking local.... the store, the farmer or producer, and the customer all win.

Very conveniently located near Sabattus. They almost never run out of products! One of the great things is they have all the same sales as HANNAFORD, so prices are super fair. The deli is great, and they cook many items daily. They make fresh salads, pasta salads, whole chickens, and so much more. They have great deals on meat. There is honestly nothing bad I can say about the place. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and have a smile. You won’t be disappointed if you shop here!

Gowell's Shop and Save is a gem of a grocery store located in Maine. It's a family-owned business that has been serving the community for years, and it shows in their friendly and helpful service. The store is well-stocked with fresh produce, meats, and a great selection of local products. The prices are reasonable, and they often have great deals on items. The only downside is that the store is a bit small, but it's still a great place to shop. Overall, I highly recommend Gowell's Shop and Save for anyone looking for a local grocery store that supports the community and offers great products and service. Four stars!

The staffs very friendly. I went in tonight for a couple pizzas and they were pretty busy. The pizzas were absolutely perfect. These guys are doin a great job!

The staff was happy and helpful. Looked like a fairly wide variety of products available. Tried a couple sandwiches and salads. While I didn't actually like the mustard style dressing on the pasta, it was great to have something different to choose from. And one of the kids loved it !

Great store I loved it there! Wish I had one something like it back home. Excellent selection of meat and veggies homemade pickles, very friendly staff, outa the way sitting in the middle of nowhere so you don't have to go to crowded areas of Augusta. Just great my wife found it the other day from the campground then took me there tonight. Thank you Gowell's shop'nsave

Gowell's Shop n Save works with Hannaford Supermarkets but it separate. This is a small town store with a larger-than-most selection of items. You may not find all of the specialty items you need but you will find well stocked shelves of many products that are staples. The prepared food is always good and the premed salads include great-quality lettuce. Most importantly the service is outstanding here. I enjoy going to Gowell's and prefer it over most big box chains.

It is a great little piece of town in the middle of nowhere. Its brand new and has the nice new shiny feel to it. The service is good not great, about as much as you could expect from any grocery store I suppose. But it is a great little store, it has nearly everything you'd find in the larger stores and the prices aren't half bad.

Excellent people. Friendly and courteous. Although they are a smaller grocery store, they have a good inventory. Competitive prices. Adequate parking, with several handicap spots right up front. Great place to shop.

Well went to buy fresh mushrooms and every package was outdated, my housemate bought iceberg lettuce opened it up and all the inside was rotten. Their produce isn't very fresh I think they need a new buyer.

Excellent place to shop! Everyone is so nice and the store is well stocked and very clean and neat. The store is a really nice size too, not too big. I love getting lobsters there.

It’s such a great convenience to have this quality grocery store available in a rural location. It means we spend much less time having to go to Topsham or Gardener for groceries. We don’t have much trouble finding what we need and he staff are welcoming.

For a rural grocery store you wont be disappointed, well stocked and friendly staff...and i got a slice of pizza from the hot foods section for the ride and omg it was huge and gotta say one of the best ive had anywhere, pizza joints take notice...
