I am so disgusted! I went in yesterday and bought a 16 pack of their brand Best yet hamburger patties and they were 28.99! And they weren’t even good patties they were nasty taste and dried out! Thought I’d be getting a deal because it was a their brand! But it’s disgusting how people take advantage during times like this

The best thing this market has going for it is it's people. It's a small market trying to be everything, so it's good for grabbing a few things for a recipe, but not the best place to buy your daily/weekly produce. Bulk items are a bit pricey, so it's not a "stock up" kind of market.That said, it's not a bad little market. And the people who work there all seem to love being there. They are smiling, helpful, friendly and they all seem to have a sense of humor. THEY make it a pleasure to shop at Food City.

Nice little grocery store. Friendly staff. The prices are slightly higher then the big name stores, but the sales are great. Selections slightly lower as well. Great bakery section. No wait at checkout for the time of day I was there. If you enjoy the neighborhood shopping atmosphere this us the place to go.

My whole family has been shopping here for years, from my grandparents, to my parents and aunts and uncles, all the way to me. Im the latest generation to shop there. I remember when it was a much smaller store behind the Kennebec Store (Now known as Frank's). Never had a bad experience there. Sure its a lil frustrating something you want is out of stock. But hey, still plenty of other stuff to get. If I may recommend, the Best Yet brands are as good the name brand but cheaper, go for it. Staff is friendly and if you've been shopping their long enough, will greet you by name. All in all, a great store worth every penny. And as I said before, NEVER had any trouble there.

Reasonable prices and selection for its location in a medium sized town. Friendly staff. I'm always happy shopping here. There are occasions when I want an item that would be too niche and whose sale volume would be too low for such a small population, and for those I do have to go elsewhere, but my rating of 5 stars is based in comparison with similarly sized groceries in similarly sized towns; this store is exemplary in that category.

The manager and some cashiers are pretty rude at this place. Heard them kick a customer out of the store because the mask was not completely over nose. Person raised it, but wasn't good enough. Never saw that before anywhere in the past year. Not even in Boston.Better to shop elsewhere.

Great place to get deals on meat. Better prices than $haws and Hannaferdz. Nice staff, hard workers, and the store is well upkept and clean...Not sure what the issue is with all the entitled "Karens" leaving bad reviews. Been shopping here since the store was located down the street and haven't had any issues.

The store over the years has improved considerably. Their prices have gone down especially on their meats. The store is clean. The foods in and the aisles are well laid out. They do have a strange rule for the store. There have been times I have not gone in. I had a pack of my back. They have a rule about not having tax on your back and and shopping in the store. I just go on down the road to Shaw's in Lewiston. I think they must be others who are doing the same thing. If they could change this rule, it would make shopping there so much better.

I'm a sucker for smaller markets and this fits. Not organic or all natural but some things I've never seen in other stores. Probably what I like best is the variety of breads(cheese rolls!) and baked goods that are quite different from the usual Hannaford or Shaw offers. Very reasonable prices and just a nice place to pick up a few things - with a quite complete deli...very friendly staff too.

Good spot if you don't like supermarket crowds or glitz. This is a market that every town should have. Staff always is friendly, locally sourced produce, employee owned. It's a winner!

I want to like it more, but pricing is generally higher and selection much more limited than nearby topsham Hannaford. But it is convenient and has all the main staples you'd expect for when you need something quick. I would rate 4, but the service brought it done. Generally the employees I've run across are generally not the friendliest.

Great quality, friendly staff, small-town feel. The deli and bakery are what give Food City that 5th star... We *love* their donuts, cakes and cookies and their selection of meats and cheeses are top-notch and priced fairly. If you need it, they've got it!

Not the widest variety or most organic place but Food City is guaranteed to have exactly what you need in a pinch.Prices are incredibly reasonable.This food city also has the waste inexpensive bone marrow for dogs, as well as ground heart if you prefer to make your own dog food!

Cashier was very friendly. Prices are alittle high on some things but not bad. I will definitely shop here again. I like the mom and pop feel to the store via the big box store like shaw's or hannaford. If u want bulk items you will need to go to walmart or another big super market.

Food City is smaller than a big chain & that's why I like it. Friendly people, good products, never too busy. We actually live 2 towns away but would rather make the drive than go to the huge, crowded grocery in our neighborhood.

Not a bad little store. Beware that some of their beef is from Mexico. Says right on it. Not as tasty as USA beef. They are also a bit slack on cleanliness, especially in the milk cooler. Dried up and liquid milks all over the shelves. Prices are higher than other stores as well.

I love this store! Great meats and produce, deli and baked goods. Good prices, fabulous customer service. Every shopping trip there is a pleasant experience! And, it's employee owned!

It is a disappointment that this store does not have the state mandate to wear a facial mask in a prominent place, plus at the service desk claim to be unaware of the mandate (up to individuals to decide or the town ). It is the employees Who are at greatest risk. I hope that the company choses to protect their employees, as there were several people coming & going with no masks and this seemed like it was business as usual.

I love Food City! It is just the right size. 4 stars for reduced, but good selection, and I can get to the milk and get in and out without walking through 40 acres of isles loaded with items I never buy!
