My wife and I planned an informal wedding reception which was intended to be a social gathering for our two families several months after we got married. We went with a non-traditional theme which included cupcakes a wedding topper cake for the dessert. We chose Grant's Bakery to do the topper cake and worked with Gary, one of their cake makers.Gary walked us through their process, portfolio and what options were available to us. He understood our theme and produced a white and gold themed topper cake which was spot on. My wife LOVED it and it.Unfortunately my wife and I were not able to have the cake for our wedding reception as we had to cancel due to a major incident impacting several of our Maine towns, but Gary was patient and willing to still make the cake despite their store being shut down for 2-3 days due to the incident.We pushed the due date for the cake to be ready, out a few days and when my wife picked it up, she LOVED it and complimented him several times on how he hit the theme with colors and the simplistic design. We were not looking for a large elaborate cake and despite the simple design, it exceeded our expectations.I highly recommend Grant's Bakery for your wedding cake needs!

Our wedding cake was beautiful, but most importantly it tasted delicious! Doug talked us through the different options, gave us samples of some of the unique flavors, and made the decision process easy. We had a two-tier cake for cutting and served slices to some of our guests and we had a table of cupcakes too. We had to-go boxes so guests could take a cupcake as a wedding favor and there were zero leftovers at the end of the night. We didn't bother freezing any for our anniversary - we'll just plan to get fresh cake from Grant's to celebrate!

Loved this place. My family and I love this place we get all our holiday goodies here. So when it came to ordering my wedding cake I went right here. The price was so good compared to alot of other wedding cakes. Good delivery looked great. Got small desserts. I didn't even get to est any they were gone!! Everyone loved them!

Rude staff is one thing but when the owner/manager is rude that sets the tone for the entire store. I understand you are busy and probably stressed but being rude and snarky to someone coming in check out what you offer NOT good customer service or a strong business model. I was going to place an order for out store new years eve party and thought I would start a new tradition buy getting everyone in my store donuts, muffins, etc every Saturday. Won't be getting it at Grant's.

Best bakery around! They make everything inhouse fresh. I ordered my husband a red velvet cake. It was delicious and we savored every bite. I highly recommend Grant's bakery. Also try the cream cheese Danish, it is to die for.

Grant's is exactly what you think of when you think of a traditional family bakery. Everyone on staff is incredibly kind and accommodating and the options are varied and delicious! They have everything from ornate cakes, to delectable cookies, and much much more. I could not recommend them enough! Pro-tip: try the mocha roll, it's next level good.

We ordered our wedding cake from them. When we went to pick it up they had a pink ribbon trim instead of the green I had requested. The man (I did not get his name) who came out to talk to me was very kind about the misunderstanding and insisted he could fix it very easily. We only had to wait about 10 minutes while he quickly whipped up a color, had me check it first and cover over the pink ribbon.The cake was DELICIOUS! Raspberry filling with raspberry & chocolate cake & buttercream icing. Our guests loved it!!A wonderful business with truly nice people!!

I went to the store while I was in Lewiston. They have blueberry whopie pies with lemon filling. They are so good. Had to get a few. Gave some away to. Just can not get enough from this place. Totally recommend it any time. Give it a try when you are in town.

Grant's Bakery has great customer service! Their beans are the best around! Saturday beans are on special! Their desserts and pastries are awesome! I love this bakery they make the best cakes and pies!whether it's a meat pie or apple pie. You will not be disappointed! They are open Tuesday to Saturday 7a.m. to 6p.m. Another great part of their customer service is they will go out of their way, above and beyond to make you and your kids happy! They are very family oriented and professional at the same time. Polite and courteous!! They will continue to have my business till I die!

It's hard to review a place that you work at. I have been their for over 40 years, and still working. The place is clean, the food is wonderful. Every one gets along. It's fun to interact with the customers. I may not know your name but the faces are what I rememver. Conversations are most interesting, they can take off in most directions. There are times that I will hug someone who is very upset.

Friendly helpful staff. Pastries,cakes, cookies muffins and biscuits oh my. Everything looks so good. Been in Maine since August of last year this is the only place I could get a bearclaw. It was wonderful, should have got more. Will definitely be back for more of anything they make.

Ham salad has zero flavor and they put like green peppers in it?!?! It’s disgusting and truly not a Maine traditional ham salad, which I would’ve expected from a place like this! Overpriced for the quality of food. $20 for a pie that feeds 2 people and the quality is sub par with most of their items. My family has grown up eating from this place but I tell you the quality in their food has declined drastically! I’m not even sure that they make any of this stuff anymore - i’m pretty sure that they’re outsourcing and just defrosting things - or leaving them frozen for purchase! Do not shop here - it’s a waste of money!!!
