This dollar general is extremely wasteful. They throw away perfectly good items in all kinds and sometimes go as far as destroying them so no one can have things like baby formula and baby snacks. I have been trying to save these items as of lately and they are now about to put up a chain to prevent me from getting these items and donating them to families, single parents, homeless people and people who just need a good price. There is 0 reason they cannot donate any of it and it is ridiculous. I will never be buying anything that profits them again. Start penny shopping every week to get things for a penny at all Dollar Generals. The pictures below are some items I found today and rescued from being wasted.

This particular location never has the same hours of operation that you can count on …1day on a Friday they will be closed at 6pm another Friday they will be open till 8 no consistent availability with this place ..and trying to call to check if they will be open or not is a hit /miss Linda situation as well ..maybe not post publicly the store is open when it may or may not be open it’s not good business …an maybe the upper management could kick a small part of their yearly profit earnings to the workers in the store an be able to take care of some of the merchandise that’s plugging up your Walking areas ..the store is only as good as you make it ..be open when you say your open an don’t make it a challenge to walk with out obstacles at every turn

Very diasapointed in this location...on 11/08/22 and 11/09/22 they closed the store moments before i arrived...i work til 4 every day and this is a daily stop for me. My wife looks forward to the item i purchase and is very upset that she hasnt been able to get it. So as the employees stand ouside smoking telling folks theyre closed...it sucks ... Booo

Great deals! Lots of good finds. The set-up is easy to move around and find what you're looking for. I usually purchase holiday decorations or fillers here. Definitely worth checking out!

I really enjoy shopping at this particular Dollar General (they may all be as good, but this store is really my only experience with the franchise). I find the Digital Coupons available on their app to be super convenient, and with the already low prices I save a lot of money. The employees here are always very friendly, to both me and my young children. Today, however, was particularly special. I called in advance to ask if they carried Borax. The first good thing was that they actually answered the phone, and let me know that they do (I was hoping to make "Borax Slime" with my kids). I stopped to buy the Borax, and was also looking for Elmer's School Glue (which I never thought to ask about). When I saw the spot for the glue was empty I asked two of the employees if their might be more. They let me know that most everyone where we live has been looking; apparently we are all looking to make this slime. I stopped at multiple stores before finding the glue. A few minutes ago I got a call from an employee named Jen (I think her name was Jen! She was one of the employees I spoke to originally). She called to ask me if I had found the glue because she found an order of it that had not made it to the shelves yet. That is AMAZING customer service. I was so impressed. She went above and beyond. Other stores should take note.

Staff are always pleasant,.courteous and helpful. I usually go in to get 1 or 1 things and come out with 1 or 2 bags haha. The quality it good, I've never had anything outdated. Some of the brands are names oce never soon before but that doesn't mean it doesnt taste good.

No one working in the store except the cashier and the place is a mess with boxes everywhere. Dollar General need to invest maintained associate to clean the store. Other that they have variety of merchandise to choose from and great prices.

Not the Arby's I ate at as a kid. I had the chicken salad sandwich special that was good. Most of there beef sandwiches are one note flavor. If you have one, you've had them all. Roast beef not good as it used to be.

Nice store but very few cashiers. Also the company supports military children with a toy. I go there a lot and cashiers were not asking customers if they want to participate

The managers in 2 of your Maine stores are exceptional. Paul from your Auburn store goes out if his way to ensure you find everything you need and he always greets you with a big smile. Jenn from your Sabattus street Lewiston store makes you feel welcomed and her store is spotless.

This is the smaller of the local Dollar General stores, and feels a bit cramped inside. It is a convenient place to stop for a few groceries on the outskirts of Lewiston (near Sabattus).

Boring atmosphere, four people working very little customer service. Very little communication with customers. Customers left on the side walk standing there for 20 to 30 mins.

This is a close store to where I live and is always doing a sale on one of my usual things to buy. I'd highly recommend stopping in.

Absolutely horrible clerk, angie. She was rude and grabby with the elderly lady who was clearly disabled, and made other customers wait for no reason. First time there and never going back.
