Usually we love dairy joy and has always been known for their great service and cheap prices but first time going this season and this location sucks. The new people they have are slow and gave the wrong ice cream. We asked for a soft serve chocolate with chocolate sprinkles and they gave a freezer burned hard serve and see via the photo barely any sprinkles and all for $6. Also ordered a black raspberry and chocolate milkshake and they didn’t even put black raspberry in it. The chocolate shake tastes good but please get the full order right.

I love the people both who work there and the customers. I love to watch the kids with ice cream streaming off the chins wearing the most positive smiles as they enjoy the same treats we had as kids. I love to have the twirl soft serve, this trip was vanilla and chocolate, one of the top 3 on my list of bests. So, please go down and find this one of the best places kind of gem.

I ordered a banana split in a bowl tonight. The person that made it mangled the banana. Put 2 scoups of strawberries and then hot fudge and tried to give it to me. I asked where the pineapple was so he put 2 scouts of pineapple. I then had to tell him it was supposed to have whip cream and nuts. I had more toppings than ice cream. Very disappointed.

The owner needs to smarten up. Not only once but twice I’ve heard her yell at her employees IN FRONT of customers. So unprofessional I feel bad for them. I even asked some of them about her and they all say she’s crazy. She’s lucky to even have the amazing employees she has because I wouldn’t be putting up with it. Fielders is better anyways!

Prompt, friendly service and delicious flavors and creations. The staff are always willing and able to describe their different options. One issue that has an effect on many customers is the lack of a method for customers to wash up after getting drippy, sticky ice cream all over their hands.

I hate going every where for ice cream when I can't get ice cream because dairy joe decided to by some ice cream with coconut oil in it even the hot fudge camel with out those it isn't a banana split or n ice cream Sunday when u can't eat coconut at all just two flavor ice cream I could have witch was vanilla n peanut butter ice cream with banana n cool whip in a can n strawberry n that's it with no sauce because they bought them with coconut oil in it I will never go to this ice cream place again since I can't get ice cream Sundays if I can't have the sauce or three scoops of different flavors I was only allowed two flavors of ice cream that is all they couldn't give me since I was allergic to coconut oil

Like the variety of soft serve flavors. Really miss the orange. However my taste buds are probably in the minority preferring citrus flavors to chocolate. Like the Black Raspberry however.

A must stop shop for all your ice cream treats. They offer a wide variety of items like shakes, waffle cones, sundaes, ect.Very friendly staff, picnic table to sit at to enjoy your treats & located at a convenient location..I totally recommend stopping in and trying this place, you won't go wrong...

We placed a 5 item order.. All different ...and everything was correct and came out quickly . The girls were patient with our indecisive kids and were super accommodating to the them wanting their cones in a bowl lol .... They had a couple of picnic tables out back that were clean and free of trash .... And in the shade 👌

Enjoyed my brownie Sunday. There was one problem. The brownies did not taste right. Other then that, every time I go I enjoy it a lot. It is right close to the hospital, so when I get out of my appointments, I go there for ice cream. I also like it when you pay cash..

Great ice cream at a great price. It is open seasonally from mid-March until around October. Its a favorite for all Bates students- a quick and easy 5 minute walk from campus. Servings are HUGE!

Great ice cream usually fairly busy but the wait is worth it. All of the different types of ice creams are definitely worth waiting for. Very local for the L/A area. Would be even better if it offered small appatizers for people to eat as well they would also make more money doing this as well. Local place so you will usually see someone you know. All the staff are very sweet college students and do a fabulous job. The portions are huge compared to anyone in town and prices by far are the cheapest. Great flavor choices are never tastes old or freezer burned. Very clean inside and out

Been going here for years, never have they messed up my order. Peanut butter parfait yumm. It seems like they hire high schoolers so just remember on a very busy night at the start of the season they will overwhelmed overall i am a loyal dairy joy customer. I will never go anywhere else

I'm not from Maine I'm from Boston where JPlicks Ice cream is the best homeade ice cream chain/parlor but also extremely expensive. Coming here and having Dairy Joy which is almost as good for literally a quarter of the price you cant beat that. Lot of options, choices, toppings flavors and the walk up window style brings back memories of the good old days. Very kind employees as well. Will definitely come here everytime I'm in Maine.
