I ordered a 5lb lot of scraps in hopes of having workable stropping leather.The finish of the leather was beautiful and workable. The pieces were generous and exciting to see.Being a newbie to specs for leather a better idea how to gage thickness or weight would help. Maybe when better versed it will not be as difficult for me. The trunk replacement parts I ordered were exactly as described and very high quality. I was a little skeptical of ordering a key that would actually work on such an old trunk lock but it worked perfectly, I was beyond amazed!! The shipping was incredibly quick too!! I drove up from Portland Maine to find green scrap leather and found that and more! Churchill was very welcoming and very helpful. The amount of scrap leather he had was mind blowing. I dug deep into boxes to make sure I didn’t miss anything and he was very accommodating, helping me pull the large boxes out to get to the back and bottom of each one. The variety of leather and colors made it super easy to find what I was looking for and also gave me new ideas for projects! Will absolutely be returning for more!

This knowledgeable and friemdly company provides some of the best service I have ever experienced.Their suggestions are precisely on point, save a bundle of money, and when they don't have exactly what you need they probably have the reference material that will allow them to look it up and send you a picture. At least that was what they did for me when they didn't have exactly the key that I needed. I was more than impressed, I was blown away.The quality of their leather handles is better than the originals. I cannot recommend them sufficiently.

I ordered the Brass Plated Stay1 . It arrived quickly and works well. I am using it to hold up the lid of an old wooden trunk. I am not perfectly refinishing the trunk, I just wanted some added safety. The web site has everything I need if I do decide to refinish one of my old trunks.

My son had an old steamer trunk that needed work. After a quick search I found Brettuns Village. They had the exact lock that I needed and shipped it to me in 2 days. What really set them apart from other vendors is the way they reacted to my follow-up question. The steamer trunk has one missing metal corner bracket. When I asked about it (I included a photo) the owner went to his warehouse to see if he could find one that matched. The owner.... Brettuns has fabulous customer service.
