A picturesque retreat with great service.We were in Sunset - a true log cabin built in 1955! We had a view straight out over the lake.The rooms were spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed for a long, cozy weekend.

We couldn't have asked for more from Sally Mountain Cabins. They were able to book us for one night in the Sunset cabin when it is normally a two night minimum. The kids all had their own space and we were able to "unplug" for the night.Early in the morning we saw there were strong winds and we were able to secure an ice shack on the lake. We had a fun day of ice fishing and sledding. When we left to go home that night, my trailer lock had frozen and the owner went out of her way to help us get the lock off so we could make the 2+ hour drive home.12/10...will definitely be going backNearby activities: restaurants and gas right near by. Perfect for enjoying the outdoors.Walkability: right on the water

Beautiful rustic camps on the water. Very comfortable with all the amenities you could hope for.Although the ice fishing was bad due the cold and very high winds we had a great time.We will return.I recommend....

Its breathtaking out here. Small town with a lot to do year round. Good times for the whole family. Ice cream, home cooking, bars n bar food, plenty of water for kayaking, fishing, boating.Can rent atvs, dirt bikes, side by sides.You can even ride horses if you rather, lessons available too.An all around laid back town with a good vibe n awesome people.

My husband I and our 2 dogs at that time spent 2 wonderful night's there. Absolutely love it. Awesome cabin dog friendly and Cory is so sweet and helpful.and their tea shirts etc. Are of great quality. Sandra and Sandy stevens.

U can't beat the price per person for an entire cabin to yourselves. It has all the comforts of home in a secluded area of Maine. Love this area. Finally got to see some moose this year. If u like peace and tranquility then this is a great place to go.

The cabins themselves were nice. Clean, great decore, and amazing view. Where the place looses a star is their kitchen. Missing essential kitchen utensils, mismatch sets, and limited number of utensils for cabin sizes. If you need to do any online work, the wifi sitting right near the office is decent, but elsewhere is spotty. Overall a great place to stay!

We have stayed at Sally mountain cabins around 6 times, in various cabins and have always had a great experience. It is great for kids and dogs. We take off on the lake each day in our kayaks, canoes or rent a boat for the day. We go up the river and into Attean lake and do the hikes over there. I recommend it for everyone.

I met the owner and upon asking about the cabin availability he assured me i would have a cabin overlooking the lake however when we entered it was behind another cabin not overlooking the lake. Was disapointed. The cabin was clean but had a funny smell that our perfume couldnt even cover up. It was well equipped and cute. The grills could use some updating and the screened in porch had no door so not sure why it was screened in? We had a nice little adventure it was peaceful quiet and a great view of the lake and mountains. I would come back but hope i get the cabin facing the water that i asked for.

My family and I have been coming here for several years; about 4-5 years I think. We rent a cabin and an ice shack. No ice shack last year though! No complaints. They just kinda leave us be and help us when we need it. Great place to stay. It's one of our favorite times of the year!

Had a great time. There was free use of the kayaks & life vest. Very clean cabins. Loved that pretty much all you need was already in or the cabin. You just have to bring your food. Will be going back again.

The cabin we had was immaculate and very spacious, towels and soaps are included, as well as dish towels and wash cloths. The bedding is very soft and the beds are comfortable. The cabin came with full kitchen, microwave, fridge, stove, coffee pot, dish soap, dishes. The living space has a tv and a bedroom also had a tv as well as free, wireless internet. I was very impressed with everything the cabin came with. The managers are very personable, real people; if you are accustomed to fake, very professional establishments, you will not find that here. The kayaks are free to use once you are checked in. The sun sets on the water.

Three stars and not five for one big reason: the cabin smelled like stale cigarette smoke! The accommodations are nice, the location is awesome, the views of the lake are magnificent. But the stench of the smoke is worse than an old dive bar. Even air deodorizer couldn't kill it.

We have stayed at Sally Mountain Cabins for the past two years for our snowmobile trips and it is a great place to lodge at, clean cabins and very convenient to every thing in town. Highly recommend them.

I personally didn't stay there, relatives did. They book there every year for their annual visit. When I visit, it appears clean, well taken care of. It has a rustic appearance/charm that I find appealing.

We have been here twice now and just love it...Corey is a super easy going and friendly owner...and the cabins are amazing, clean and full of everything you could need! We will return again and again...our favorite vacation spot in the US by far :)

Great place to stay in Jackman if in town for sport or leisure. Cozy cabins and lodgings overlooking Big Wood Pond and its unbeatable sunsets. What's not to like?

Just rented an ice shack and also got my bait here last WK,owners are amazing people,never stayed in the cabins,yet they are beautiful places rite on the water here in Jackman,so they have cabins,ice shacks,bait,all an outdoorsman will need and the trails are rite off the steps!!!!!

Older Maine cabins. Right on the water.. perfect for summer and winter. We have stayed for both.
