Server was pleasant, but the food was very bland. My son didn't even finish the mozzarella sticks, which are his favorite other places. I had to keep dumpling salt and pepper on my tasteless burger. Couldn't stay at outside seating due to smokers nearby and no non-smoking section outdoors. Probably a good place to hang out with folks if you are a local, or in town for more than one night, but not a great place if you are just looking for good food.

Steak was ok, mashed potatoes were cold, came with frozen butter, when my girlfriend put 2 songs on the jukebox, easy listening music, apparently not to there liking, I watched the bartender load it up with country music so customers can't play music to there own liking. Will NEVER set foot in this again, Smokin barrels just down the road is the best place to eat

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. The table next to us waited 30 minutes and nobody came over to ask if they needed anything, got up and left, the waitress finally came over not even knowing the other people left and said” I am sorry for the wait” OMG !! There was no more than 20 people in the restaurant and bar and with only 2 wait staff. This is reciprocal weekend for snowmobile operators coming from all over, shame on the OWNERS OF THE RESTAURANT, not the staff who was working that night. If you can’t staff your restaurant then don’t open. Others in the restaurant were in the same spot we were, waiting forever for someone to come over.We were in the restaurant for an hour and a half and had an appetizer and and a salad, fish dinner, and steak tips which were raw, ordered medium, didn’t dare send them back.And then the there was the to go order.A phone call was placed by a customer for a sandwich, customer was told 30- 40 minutes on the phone, came in and was told you have 2 more orders in front of you, another 20 minutes for a sandwich!!Again, shame on the owner !!

If you dont like not getting your moneys worth I dont recommend.It was one of the only choices to eat on a Sunday afternoon in Jackman, otherwise we would have had an enjoyable meal had we gone to the other place we wanted to go.The only waitress in the front was taking care of a large crowd when we got there. Not her fault being the only one up there, I blame stuff like that on management.Heres my real issue.The "poutine" which was $10 was horrible. Whomever designed this dish at this place apparently has no idea what Poutine is. Intead of cheese curds it was just shredded cheese, which reallly made for a cheesy gooey mess. Who makes Poutine without cheese curds? The hand cut fries in the "Poutine" were actually undercooked. How do you undercook french fries? Bad, just bad thats how I would descibe it. A waste of $10.Their special on the board for hamburgers was a "Ribeye Burger" . That sounded excellent. IT WAS NOT !The burger which I ordered meduim rare was overcooked. Also when you think of a hamburger made from ribeye you would think nice and juicy right? WRONG!It was as dry as a bone. It also had a weird spice taste like someone mixed spices into the meat and not good spice, it was weird. My wife even commented that it smelled like spices before I even mentioned the taste. It was just barely border line edible.My wife had the haddock snadwich which she said was actually good. Good as in not bad.All in all it was a totally marginal meal. Their cooks clearly are not experienced. I felt like $54 was thrown down a hole. Wont be back.

We ordered 2 appetizers, the coconut shrimp and boneless tenders. The shrimp was 10 seconds away from being black, but was still edible, while the tenders were anything but. We gave these to our dog and even her powerful jaws were chewing much more than anyone with teeth should have to when the ‘tender’ is in the name (we love her to much to let her have more than the initial handful). Order apps at your own risk, because the food is certainly not what it used to be.

Sat there for an hour after ordering. Only saw waitress one time. Had to flag her down to get a coffee refill. Did note she was waiting on other tables there. Bring diabetic, I had taken my insulin shot before ordering and my sugar was crashing. I needed to eat. It would have been nice if she would have at least one time come to the table and inform us of the delay. Being night before moose season and atv season, the town was crowded. Maybe some foresight and have some additional staff would have been nice. Totally unacceptable

Waitress was not very friendly had a party of 12 . She never came back for refills. She dropped one bill on table ,when asked her to please split bill . We got a lot of SAS, needless to say we won't be back.

Under new ownership as of 2012! Home cooked food at a great price. Always fresh, always good! Recently renovated back lounge makes for a perfect drinking atmosphere, complete with a new pool table and juke box! .50 wings on Thursday & Friday, they are a MUST TRY if you find yourselves in Jackman! They also have the best pizza in town! Friendly fast service! Big wood Tips are to DIE for! They are seriously so good! Stop in and try it out yourself, you won't be a disappointed!

It's one of the few places to eat in Jackman. Good food. Good atmosphere. If your server takes a little bit to get to you, its usually because someone called out sick and this small town only has one person waiting tables and hustling around. Be patient. :)

Stopped for lunch at 12. Still didn't receive our meal at 1. It wasn't busy. Waitress never acknowledged us once we were seated. I asked if our meal was ready and she said it would be a few more minutes. Really? It was only 2 sandwiches. At around 1:45 and still no meal we decided to leave. As my husband paid for our 1 soda (no offer to refill) i went outside. He came out and said our meal was ready. I really didn't want to go back in but after almost 2 hours we decided to go back in. As we walked in one of the staff announced "they're baaaack". How damned rude and embarrassing! The food was gross so we wrapped it up in napkins and brought it out to our dog. She liked it. But then it was only fit for a dog.

Walked in with 8 people and two babies at 620. We knew it was alot and would have sat at 2 different tables if need be but the young bartender decided not to want to seat us because we had a large party and was also extremely rude slamming a glass down when we asked if there was room in the back. Saying there would be no room for a party this large. Extremely dissappointed with service because they obviously they dont put the customer first

Always have a fantastic time here! Whether you want to dine on the restaurant side or the bar side, either is exceptable and very enjoyable! Occasionally people play weird music, and windows next to the seats are a bit drafty. Other than that, generally you're surrounded by a fantastic and energetic crowd that just wants to have a few beers and some good laughts. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good drink, good food & great company! And occasionally, they make "creative" little snowmen outside! :D
