My Mom and I had a wonderful experience together specially after checking in 15 minutes prior to closing. Also I personally would like to thanks Mr.George for his great hospitality and kindness . Providing Me a map and coverage after I was disconnected a couple of hours. Everything you need is in that room ! Not to mention we slept like babies.Best Regards/ Canada 🇨🇦

Our room was quite spacious as was the bathroom. Everything was sparkly clean. Service was friendly and kind. Breakfast was tasty. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was easy and close. Plenty of place to sit and relax. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. The gas station across the street had great pizza and well priced gas. All in all a great place to stay if in Jackman...

Lovely, freshly painted, white, very clean room with gray accents. So meticulously clean and comfortable. Shower hot, bathroom roomy, coffee, all needs taken care of.My goodness, it's 31° out this morning and our room is so toasty warm. What a PERFECT nights sleep! This is a nice motel right in the heart of Jackman! We came with a few of our friends to snowmobile. The guys had been bragging about Bishops so we all met there and were not disappointed. From friendly owners and staff to clean accommodations as well as a great spread of food for the continental breakfast that is provided. If you walk away hungry then that’s your fault! Across the street is Bishops store for additional food choices and everything you need or don’t need!! The motel is definitely nice with large spacious rooms for all your gear. We asked to be close to our group and they did what they could to get us near each other. We were very pleased and will definitely be back next year for more snowmobiling! This hotel is slightly old but updated well. Rooms were clean and the bathroom looked fine. Try to get a room on the first floor.Nearby activities: There's not much around the hotel. We were stuck on a bus tour so we were limited where we could go.

Bishop Motel was literally a life saver for my family and I after our van broke down a couple miles passing through the Canadian border. Owner and staff were very friendly, and extremely helpful. Rooms were clean and thecontinental breakfast was great!Thank you 😊

A very nice motel. Clean, spacious room. The breakfast room had a great selection of fruit, cereal and breakfast sandwiches. This is an owner-built motel that shows pride in their lively hood. Wonderful story how they started. A convenience store with lunch counter across the street and several restaurants within walking distance. You will not regret this stop!!

The owners and staff are incredibly hospitable and kind. We came across some misfortune in our travels- they were quick to accommodate us, and very helpful. The rooms are clean and services rendered are prompt and thorough. Always a satisfying experience. We’ll absolutely return to our “home away from home” in the years to come. Many thanks!

We stayed one night and the room was large, clean and pleasant. Nice to be offered a suite with two single beds for our kids. Breakfast was so-so, but adequate. Good choice for a quick stay before heading back to Canada.

Nicely maintained family run motel. Friendly and informative staff. Rooms are spacious, Beds are comfortable, best of all, they allow dogs, because we had our Dixie with us. Free WiFi in the room, and continental breakfast in the lobby's breakfast room. Wide range of food available across the street. All in all we had a great stay!

Great Value. Great place to stay. We (six guys) stayed here for one night the first week of February. Our annual trip to Maine on snowmobiles takes us to different destinations from town to town each year. If you are to overnight in Jackman, this is the place to stay. The ITS trail is accessible from right behind their place. All the staff and the owner who was onsite couldn’t have been more friendly or hospitable. Clean rooms, bath and bed was a welcoming site from a daylong ride on the trails. Although there is no restaurant at the motel, the have a general store across the street with all you will need, from booze to beer along with a pizza n sub shop too. We used their breakfast area tables at the motel to enjoy our pizza from across the street for our dinner. The continental breakfast offered (including waffles, egg n sausage croissants, fruit and muffins) was more plentiful than other places who charge more for the total package.All in All we enjoyed our stay at Bishops and will return there again in the future.

Nothing less than you want and need. Comfortable, clean, roomy, great wifi speed (100mbs; best you'll currently find in Jackman), and very attentive staff. Breakfast is continental, so nothing special but does the job; COVID. Direct trail access and right across street from the town deli/pizza. Owner displays sincere desire to ensure you're satisfied and comfortable.

We were traveling late on 8/23/2021. We needed a last minute place to stay. We came across this hotel with a big VACANCY sign lit. There was a sign on the door instructing travelers to use the adjacent phone to call a staff member if you wanted to stay there even without a reservation. We called and the man clearly did not want to help because he said they had no Vacancies even though there was a huge lit sign saying otherwise and no cars in the lot

The hotel was as described. Clean and neat. The breakfast was good. The owners and staff very nice. The trail reports were very miss leading. I would have to say the worst riding I have ever experienced. Not once did we see a groomer out all weekend. FYI head to houlton or Millinocket if you want to go on a decent ride. Trail report for a arostook County are very accurate. Beware if you are piped or canned bring stock cuz wardens are fine happy lol.

My wife is staying there right now. She is VERY picky about where she stays. We talk often and she hasn't complained and has even praised the quaint-ness of it. Complaints about the internet service fall flat. She and I Skype often and the call quality is certainly acceptable. This is a small town in the back-country of Maine town so one does not expect a 5 star Marriott hotel but if the place is good enough for her, it should be good enough for anyone. Two stars deducted simply because it is a motel, not a hotel.

I stay in Jackman for work 1-2 times a year, and always stay at Bishops. This is a decent motel, especially for such a small town in a rural location. The rooms are spartan but clean, and the owner and workers are very hospitable. I often leave for work very early and they make certain I have access to breakfast for example.I've had some very good meals in Jackman. Yes, you can eat food from the gas station across the street (it won't hurt you) but look further for some nice places.Northwest Maine is one of the most beautiful parts of New England. Go visit, leave your computer and other technology in your car, enjoy the people and the scenery, and don't be so grumpy.
