Start off by saying that Dr. Ennis is amazing with animals at this clinic, however, her staff are horrid and have awful attitudes. We became clients with this clinic shortly after they opened and were extremely impressed with them. Sadly over time they became more difficult getting into (understandable with the lack of vets in our area) Multiple times over the years we have called to try to get one of our animals in and either left a voice mail where it took days to get a call back, were told they were booked out for a while and were forced under circumstance to go to a vet further away, or were just told they were too over whelmed at the moment. Recently one of our dogs were needing to see a vet but not deemed as urgent so we reached out to get in locally instead of having to drive over an hour to another vet. My husband called when they opened Tuesday and appears there was a lot of miscommunication going on as he was told that she needed to be seen sooner than later and to call other vets. I called the next day because I was confused with this response and stated it wasn't urgent and just would like an appointment as we were clients with them and our dog has been seen there in the past. I got an appointment for a couple weeks out which was perfect! The following day I received a call from a different person who started off with over the top attitude stating they haven't seen our animal for a while and they had a rule if it's been over 2 years we weren't considered a client any longer (again, hasn't been from lack of trying on our part on trying to be seen there) nor have we ever been told about this rule in the past or even a received any courtesy call about scheduling a visit. They then proceeded to inform me they were too over whelmed and that they were taking my dogs appointment that was already scheduled and we would have to find a different vet. We live in an area where vets are far in-between many of which are not taking new clients and the further south you go the more expensive they seem to get. Honestly just beyond annoyed with this whole situation.

just a gentle rebuttal on 2 reviews. If we havent seen any of a client's pets in over 6 years, we do assume that the owners are vetting elsewhere. having said that, we would still try to get the pet in if there is space. Sadly, there often is no space. And that is understandably very upsetting to people. I know it would upset me. But it is sadly the way things are at the moment with our vet shortage. Also, it is unfortunate that in J.L's case she feels a misdiagnosis was made. We did believe the tumor was cancerous, but thankfully it was not. Our receptionists do have the right to fire a client when said client is always angry and combative. And this can sometimes lead to a review that is perhaps different from our point of view or experience.

Received above and beyond care and homeopathic remedy and mindset. This Dr (female) and other assistants model compassion through care! There is no price on that because it is beyond monetary value! Thank you. Please continue serving. Please consider a new manner of how those who cant afford themselves, trying to afford pet care, can??? Humans have options only they can make happen...

Dr. Ennis and her staff are absolutely fantastic! They do a great job with the animals in their care, and do everything possible to help in an emergency! My cat might not give a 5 star review after blood work, but I most certainly do! 😊

Dr Ennis is committed to providing the best possible care for the animals she treats. She provides check-ups, vaccinations and treatments for various illnesses. She also provides supplements and nutritional foods for animals that need help with their diet and nutritional needs. This is not a surgical location however. If your animal requires testing such as x-rays and ultrasounds, Dr Ennis can refer you to a location that can perform the tests. Also, this is not an emergency or trauma location. Should your animal need immediate assistance, you will need to find another location. This is not an animal hospital and does not have the capabilities to perform surgery or emergency care. The clinic is a place to help maintain your animals health and keep up to date with their shots and preventative care.

Dr. Ennis is a great vet. Very personable and caring toward animals. If funds are tight she has been known to find workarounds so that your pet doesn't suffer. My wife and I cannot praise her highly enough!

Sassy-rose Just loves Doctor Ennis. We are so lucky to have a vet like her. Dr. Ennis is patient, a great listener, decision maker, and easily accessible. My cat had her first quite serious illness and I got lucky enough to find someone that called and checked on her daily and made sure she had the medicine she needed. Everyone should feel lucky to have their animals in her care

We started calling this place Dysfunction Junction. No one ever answers the phone. When you leave a message it could be several days before anyone calls you back. They're ALWAYS so "behind", "busy", "understaffed", etc. Misdiagnosed my cat twice. My other cat died at home because they were "just too busy" to get him in. They sound compassionate, but how compassionate is it to not be able to deal with pets when they need it? Oh yeah, they're open like 2 1/2 days a week.... no wonder they're so "behind". Glad I moved away.

great people! so kind and compassionate. They don't try and make you get shots or things you don't need. They get folks in pretty quick also, most places are a long wait. U cannot recommend them enough!

Dr.Ennis is amazing! In June she helped me put my Remy boy down. He become very sick very quickly, no one else was taking new patients.

I have 2 large breed dogs and an elderly cat, and we love the care our fur babies get. I love the natural products from vitamins to flea treatment, that works amazingly. Needless to say we are lucky to have this quality of care in such a rural area, like Northern Maine.

The crew here is AMAZING!!! There is no one else I would trust my fur babies to. One of the best vets I've ever had. It's well worth the 30 mile drive to have them help us.

Front desk person had an attitude with me the whole time. When I walked in with my cat and her babies, the lady said you cant just come in here and told me they couldnt help me because the vet was going on vacation the next day. ((I was told by my last vet (in Tennessee) she may still have a kitten inside of her. )) and I told the front desk lady that. She had no sympathy. So I went to my truck and was looking up other vets nearby to go to and the lady came out with a paper for vets and told me she was sorry, with the same attitude, and told me the reason why. I will NEVER go here again. Its one thing to disrespect me but to not care about my animals when you are a vet. That's the last straw with me. The vet I ended up going to told me that they have had several people come to them from this vet saying the same thing.

Care top of the line; empathy above comparison. For 5 of the 7 years after we rescued our clumbsy big boy thru the New England Border Collie Rescue, Dr. Ennis & Nicole loved & truely cared for our Buddy (Dubba Boy, Callum, Atlas) as much as we did. Knowing this made his cross over Rainbow Bridge & our letting go much easier. So sad yet so blessed by his love & precious presence...

my dog had a medical emergency and upon finding island falls animal hospital online i waited 2 hours until 9am for them to open only to hear they were not taking new clients. nothing on web page stating that.very disapointed but greatful Busters emergency wasnt terminal...get it together
