They have everything here. From fresh fruits, to local ice cream, to fresh made pizza. The steak egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is literally the best I've ever had. They also just opened another Handy Stop out in Lee, about 40 minutes north of here. The owners of handy stop have a really good business plan it seems because it's definitely thriving in these smaller communities! Keep up the good work guys!!

Rodeo burger was loaded, bun was outstanding. Same with Mushroom Swiss,,.Go to Bangor and your not going to find a better one, plus boat, bike atv or sled ,you can head back to nowhere. NO GAS . Ask for directions. They will help YOU.

The name says it all. For a convenience store they have a pretty decent selection of grocery, fresh meats and produce, plus a large selection of beer and cider. And food made to order if you like. Frigging mint bub.

An elevated version of your typical hometown store. You can really see the effort the owner and staff put in to making this place be comfortable and comprehensive in it's selection. They could do a bit better on the hot food (and the prices!), but regardless; both prepared and packaged food is always at a higher standard than you'd expect.A newer addition to the store, is more grocery-type items. You can get full pork and beef roasts, steaks, prepared kebabs, and just about any meat product you'd like. This is an incredibly valued and welcomed addition to the store, as the nearest grocery store is about 20 minutes away. The prices on the meat aren't outrageous either, as one would expect. Between fully stocked spices, mixes, meats, deli, craft beer, and snacks, they save us a LOT of trips to Hannafords.Keep up the great work, guys!

Great food fast served with a smile from a friendly staff. The cheese steak and onion rings hit the spot. And the carrot cake was fantastic. Awesome place to swing by on a ride or passing through in the truck. Will stop again when I’m back in the area!

Since the owners are either unable or unwilling to post that there internet is down and that they are not currently excepting EBT, let me save you the embarrassment. Only after getting our full shopping cart scanned and bagged, with a store full of customers were we informed of the situation. To make matters worse, this also required us to restock their shelves with the items we intended to purchase. As I was putting things back, I was informed that was day 2 without internet and that the same thing happened to them yesterday. Thank God they screwed up my meat order, that was supposed to had been ready yesterday. FYI, SMITH'S GENERAL STORE is up and running. Plus Smith's cuts their meat in house, like a real deli!

If I could leave a negative review I would. Prices on regularly purchased items change on a daily basis. Also after I conveyed a food allergy to the staff basically we got poisoned. The staff here is not verry professional and seems like they have a revolving door of employees that don't care.

The people that work there have no idea what their doing half the time. They fired me for screwing up a scratch ticket, and had other pitiful reasons to fire me..they hire new people that obviously don't know their job! I wasn't smart enough to run register, but yet hire people who don't have a clue on their own. This place is ridiculous, and so isn't the manager and owner.

The new expansion of the store and offerings have really been a benefit to the community. I've ordered hot food regularly from this store and its always been delicious, not to mention affordable. The employees are also very helpful and have always treated me with respect. Overall great experience. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in Howland.

Hey..if u want fresh meat..hands down..best butcher around. Go get your fresh butchered meat for your cookout. There is so much more here..you can get pre-made food or order to go..check em out..

The store is like a Mini Shopping Market. You can buy meats, veggies, hot foods, cold food. The people are friendly and there is service with a smile.

I grew up here in this town going to this store with never one issue when owned by the previous owner. I am a hard person to push to the point i was at when leaving here. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The employee here told me they did not have the appropriate change to do what I needed I apologized and ask if buying something would help. When I got nothing but attitude back I decided to point that out. And also the fact that they are next door to a bank. That being said the person who waited on me threw my money at me across the counter. So when I looked at her and said really.... She started to swear at me. I walked out of this store shaking and blood boiling. The lack of customer service of the employees is baffling!! I do not care what a customer does it is not deserving of the treatment here. I looked at the website and it says praised by customers. Must be the normal customers because at NO point did i feel like giving them praise. Absolutely horrible!!!! And i find it humorous that none of the other review mention the 'friendly staff' here at the store .... Because it is non-existent!!

This store has improved in a BIG way. It’s one of my favorites - I especially love that they have deli sandwiches and warm goods ready to go for my morning commute to the Bangor area! Thanks to them, it’s easy to grab a good lunch for later in the day.

This place has terrible customers service and also doesn't put time into training their works properly a d if you don't get it down they fire you especially when you ask for help and on top of it they've gone out of their way to make it hard for a single mother of three to get a job by deformation of character which is illegal and she's trying to find work at the 95er down the road from them called the store owner and cost her a chance of having a job handy stop is filled with careless lazy people and doug the owner just let's it all happen and honestly I hope you guys get caught for the things you do.

My husband and I ordered pizza here frequently. This last order was horrible. It was edible so I ate because I was hungry. I always get a WHITE pizza with teriyaki chicken and broccoli.My pizza was not white sauce and the broccoli was thrown on as an after thought. I am thoroughly disappointed!

Great selection of steaks from great butcher. Grew their beer stock and has independent brewery IPAs from Georgia to Maine. Getting a nice improved beer cave!
