Great little beer store, lots of variety. Five stars simply because myself and another local gentleman stopped in about 8 minutes past their closing time. I didn't realize they closed a little early at 6:00 p.m. for winter hours but it makes sense. However they were awesome enough to open the doors and let us scoot in and grab what we were looking for. Service like that these days is hard to come by. Whenever I am back in town visiting family I will make sure to give them my business.

The cashier snatched the redeem receipt from my hand, and on the way out an employee by the door almost ran into me because he was taking to his buddy. The employees who count the returnables are great.

On the way to or from the Bar Harbor / Ellsworth / MDI / area lakes, this is the go to beverage warehouse and even has an amazing redemption center!Amazing selection of Beer, Wine, and Spirits for all occasions and palettes. One of the biggest beer caves in the state, and a large selection of custom selections, especially the barrel pick bourbons, and whiskeys,They guys out back are awesome to deal with and the front of house always is a blast to talk to. Other customers seem to also be great interactions/stories. 10/10 great place.

What a great place!!! Went to check out their Tequila selection and I was blown away!! I had to ask for help and when I asked for help the lady was super helpful. She even spent time on the phone with my son so that we picked out some nice choices!!! Wow was she helpful and friendly!! Thanks! Great staff really compliments great selection!!

The place does a good job when they are open but they really need to update website call before going. I tried two days in a row only to find out they are no longer open on Monday they also close at 5. Website says 7. Also no hours posted at door, so you never know.

I called several months ago about a particular liquor I had purchased in Mexico. I had a feeling it wasn’t in the state of Maine yet but called anyways. I don’t remember who I talked with but she was very friendly and confirmed that it wasn’t available in Maine. About 5 minutes after I hung up I got a call back from a gentleman who informed me that it will be available for them to order very soon. This was going above and beyond what they needed to do. I am happy to say I can now purchase that alcohol at Stompers!

I came into the redemption center for the first time today, and I always, always count my cans and bottles. I brought in 8 trash bags each containing 140 cans/or $7.00. I took in the first four than went to retrieve the other 4. Two young men counted and when they were done one of them handed me a slip for $47.50. I did question the total and he tried to tell me that there were not $7.00 worth in each bag. Rather than make a scene I collected my money and left. I don't question when we are a couple bucks away from each other, but when we are $9.50 away from each other that is a problem. My advise to other folks is to make sure you count what you are bringing in and know what you have. I guess it is just too much to ask for an honest transaction, after all this is money I have already paid. If I wanted to give a $10 tip that should be up to me.Cheri Bell

The staff is kinda rude. Especially the older guy with the beard. I don't need to debate the origin of words with you! You are a cashier at a liquor store. Wear a name tag next time. LOL Damon's beverage appreciates the business. Do yourself a favor and go there.

I was really impressed when I walked into the store from start to finish. Thier selection was impressive from Wine, Whiskey, and Beer. Now comes my kind of disappointed side. My goal was to find Specifically wines made here in Maine to send as gifts to all my friends and family who never somehow never make it up here for any kind of stay. I was disappointed in the very limited and small section devoted to this. So, if anyone is listing maybe look at adding extra stock from around the state.

This is my favorite place to get all my liquor needs. The place is clean, open and the staff is helpful. Their staff will help you bring in the bags of bottles from your car, I have never been to any redemption center that does this. I will always go there first.

Great selection and competitive prices. Friendly and helpful people. The business is clean and organized to make finding your selection easy. There is plenty of parking. The only negative is the same with all businesses on this road, making a left-hand turn entering 1-A. Drive carefully!

I so wanted to like these guys. I did. They have a great selection of liquor, but truth be told, these folks just do not seem to appreciate your business. I just don't feel good spending my money in a place where the people behind the counter barely acknowledge you. More often than not, one of their buddies is in the store talking with them at the counter. The casheir is so into whatever he and his friend are saying that he can barely count your change. And God forbid you get a "thank you" or "have a good day" here.

I was suspicious the last time I brought my bottles in that I didn't get my full money for the amount I brought in. Today I precounted my bottles. I had 13 bags of 100 bottles. The guy "helped" my carry them in and then insisted I only had 10 bags. I hope they enjoy the $15 the stiffed me. I would not recommend bringing bottles here.

Hours on their website are wrong, one of their employees argued with me about it when I let them know after trying to redeem bottles. Probably will find another store for my alcohol, shouldn't be given rude attitude because they are ignorant of their store's web presence

Amazing staff, and a huge beer collection. Without a doubt the best whiskey collection in Maine. Above all the rest the store is organized, incredibly layed out, and everything is spotlessly cleaned. I inquired about a hard to find microbrew and they had it for me in two days. I'm always happy when I leave Stompers.

Good beer selection right up there with the other good beer stores in the Bangor area. Only complaint is the extreme markup on singles which is ridiculous. Most places it's 20-25% at Stompers it's upwards of 40%. Epiphany is $14.99 a 4 pack so that would be $3.75 a piece with no markup and Stompers charges $5.49 for a single a 46% markup.

I redeem my bottles there. They are super helpful, they help me bring my bottles in. They have a large selection of wine, beer and other beverages. They are clean. I drive the 42 miles to go there because they are friendly too.

Did you ever need to buy a dead scorpion floating in a bottle of 80 proof cactus juice? Well now you can! In fact i'm pretty sure if you could bottle war crimes they'd sell em here. Anything that comes in a liquid form and gets you delerious is available. Maybe one day these fine people will help me fulfill my dream of chugging agent orange!

Stompers is without a doubt the best beverage store in the bangor area, very clean, very organized, very professional and they have a huge beer cave. The customer service is excellent, if your looking for something they dont have, they do their best to find it for you. They carry a lot of wine, a lot of liquor, and every garden variety beer, plus alot of the local stuff, as well as a section dedicated to mixers.
