Friendly and helpful staff! This is a smaller grocery store between Hampden Academy and Walgreens. They have a really small pharmacy, and there isn't much room for people to wait. It is hard to get through some spots in store, especially if you have to use a ride- on cart. There is usually plenty of parking, the bangor city bus stops there, and it is in a convenient location fairly close to route 395. There is a Circle K gas station rt down the rd as well.

Do all my grocery shopping at Hannafords Stores and have since 1980. Stores are very clean and organized. Prices great. They have a nice deli,meat,seafood departments and fresh baked products also done right in the store

( Raciest store clerk followed my brother around the store. Then refused to let us buy our products.) ( * the store also dictated what type of service dog you can bring inside) My brother and I went to this store tonight to buy a glass of wine for our family dinner. He picked up 2 glasses of cheap wine and cranberry juice for the kids. As a black man of course he was kept In sight by store clerks. He got to the register and realized he left his ID at home so he came out and said I would have to buy them. So I went in to buy the items I requested him to get. The clerk delayed my check out after asking for my ID. Then another store clerk( not a manager) came to look at my id. I can only assume they were trying to check if it was real. (( why did I have to go through this process to purchase wine yet the white lady in front of me checked out smoothly?)) The store clerk was on his cell phone with someone else giving a description of me and my ID. After giving me the run around I asked why is my time being wasted. The clerk identified my brother and said he had the same items when he was walking through the store. The clerk refused to sale me the product due to suspicious activity.

This place is a constant let down honestly. It is clean and the staff are super awesome but they are more often than not out of what I've come for which is rough because it's the only grocery store I can go to without driving all the way to Bangor.

It's a nice grocery. Clean, well lit, spacious isles. Some of the gfdf options are limited. They do fairly well with meat and veggie selections. Prices are like most places. Service is typical, though not overly friendly. It's my local grocery, so I mostly shop here.

Pretty good. I just wish all supermarkets would stop putting all or a random brand x product on an endcap or a isle display. Example... I need sriracha, but I didn't need it by the frozen fruit, I needed it to be in the condiments isle. I want fox and friends chips but I don't need to go search the entire store for it in the cleaning supplies isle....most of it needs to be in the isle with the chips.

I love this Hannaford. It's always busy but I never have to wait in line. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a fantastic fruit and vegetable department! IMy steak salad was a huge hit!

Been shopping at this Hannaford for years. The staff are fantastic and helpful. The reason I give three stars is that it's a constant battle to find the products we need. This happens most often with Hannaford-branded items and has been continuing for a few years. I am not sure where other reviewers are getting "well-stocked" from, but this is rarely the case anymore. Having to go to multiple stores just for specific things is not ideal, and I would much rather one-stop shop with my local Hannaford.

The staff at this smaller hannaford's are very friendly and kind The people shopping there are always kind they don't have the largest selection as the Hannaford supercenters such as Union Street location and Belfast location but they have most what you need and quality products and it's close to home

Has all my specialty items... gluten free and dairy free, as well as non GMOs. Vegetables are fresh. Good variety of meats and fish, both fresh and frozen. Amazing variety for size of the footprint. Good community citizen as well.

Everything is good except the produce department in the Hampden location.They let items sit after their brown and not edible. Artichokes in particular.Most fruit and produce does not last long.I only purchase produce that I know I'll use in a very short time.This is the closest grocery store. That's why I still go to this location.Only game in town.Or for that matter it seems it is...

Great clean family friendly store, with great selection and I also use their pharmacy as my main pharmacy although they are busy because they are good they have gone out of the way for me several times.

This is one of the most welcoming and cleanest supermarkets you will ever shop in, everything has its place and everything is tempting, produce bakery and seafood all want to jump in your basket!The help is always cheerful and willing to go out of their way for any need! You will be surprised when you visit this small town super grocery!!

Great produce. Good quality meats and seafood. Very clean store inside and out. Most grocery stores are pretty Gross outside especially in winter... I drive 20 miles out of my way to avoid my local ripoff grocer.

Do not monitor for mask/lane direction usage. If carts are left inside the chance of them getting cleaned is near nil. Parking lot is horrible design. Has a really bad habit of discontinuing items after they've beenavailable JUST long enough to have been noticed so when one returns for more: surprise! Most favorites of this family have totally disappeared from the store only to be replaced by their store brand, which may or may not be considered edible. Actual staple groceries are scarce but their heavily processed "replacements" are in ready supply. Seniors and singles miss various items in package sizes suitable for one/few.

The Deli is fabulous! Evan, the deli manager, went above and beyond in providing us with great customer service via a few phone calls and in-person as we aren't from the area. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. We ordered four large finger roll platters, five large wrap platters, ten pounds of potato salad, and ten pounds of greek salad for a backyard wedding in Hampden. Everything was ready on-time, super fresh, and wicked good. Great job, Evan and team!

Excellent selection of products, great service. My only criticism is often they don't have enough lanes open at peak times. Most of the time it's fine but sometimes they have only 2-3 lines open when the store is jammed up. People are super nice though, and whenever I look confused someone asks if I need help finding something!

Usually not the cheapest place to shop, but always had a great selection and the store is clean. The employees are pleasant. Great produce and meat. Always have lobster in stock. Nice magazine section and a whole liquor aisle.

The customer service at the pharmacy is at best terrible. Everything is always “my” problem. Latest example. I get a text to pick up my order on 3/17. Knowing how they work, I wait until the 18th. Guess what. Too soon. I need to wait another 10-15 minutes. I asked why the 24 hour delay. Because the pharmacist has to check it out. The actual fact is, clerk did not put it through until I was standing there. Sarah Lockwood, Pharmacy Manager is great but she can’t be there each day. So now I have to take time AGAIN and go back and hope RX is ready. With no apology. Because my time doesn’t matter and I am not appreciated as a customer.

This is a small Hannaford Supermarket, but it's always clean, and set up nicely. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bcuz I wish they had a bigger and better meat selection. Other than that, it's a nice store!

Loved the wine bag 🎒Totally wished the local wines were better labeled that they're local.Unfortunately had a small collection of local beers but no local coffee at the Hampden store

Very friendly staff. While at the deli I enquired about why they had so many quiches and none were offered in half sized containers. The customer service representative said we usually do which one would you like? Within 2 minutes he had it on a container. Next at the deli I enquired about a new flavor of Turkey breast that was on sale. The lady offered me a sample while I was deciding on what to order.

I'm only rating the men's bathroom at this store and not the rest of the store itself. I've been to several other Hannaford stores in Maine and they are all good grocery stores, so I will assume this one is as well.I am in a wheelchair and I have to say that the men's bathroom at this store is one of the worst ones I've ever used and almost certainly it is in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act.The "handicapped" stall in this store is the first stall after you enter the bathroom and the door to the stall is so close to the door to the bathroom that they hit each other if they are both open at the same time, which happened to me as I was trying to enter the stall and someone else entered the bathroom at that exact moment. The bathroom door pushed the stall door closed as I was going in and my hand would have been crushed if I hadn't been holding my phone in that hand. My phone took the brunt of the impact and the screen protector was shattered.The two doors remained open, as the bathroom door caught the stall door on the way back to being shut, and they stayed that way until the other gentleman finished his business and untangled the two doors. I couldn't go to the bathroom myself until this happened.The stall itself was only slightly larger than a regular stall and my wheelchair would only fit if I put it directly next to the toilet. This took a great amount of maneuvering and I would have given up if I hadn't really needed to go to the bathroom. Once I got the chair all the way into the stall, I had almost no room to maneuver onto the toilet. Thankfully, I can stand without assistance enough that I was able to squeeze between my chair and the toilet and then I only barely had enough room to sit down on the toilet.Needless to say, I won't be using this bathroom again until they get this situation fixed. I do believe this is an ADA violation and I will be contacting the state disabilities office to see what I should do next.

Had everything I needed. Great selection of produce and meat. People generally distanced not everyone shopping with masks but all Hannaford staff had them. Checkout staff, Keaton, was efficient, helpful and friendly.
