Their location is prime and their customer service is seriously second to none. We've worked on cattle ranches all over the country....these guys know meat!

What an amazing meat market! My grandparents, who lived in Dexter, exclusively purchased their meat from here for years. They always praised the quality and service, and given the deliciousness of our weekly Sunday dinners, I understood their excitement.They have since passed away, but my family and I are now at a local campsite for the summer so I purchased 2 Boston butts for a large family gathering to smoke. Great quality, as promised, and the cleanliness and service was great. They offer a wide range of meats and various freezer packages. Definitely will make this my go to place for meats.

Amazing jerky. We visit Maine in the summer and picked some up near Dover Foxcroft at a convenience store. Live in Pennsylvania and ordered 2 cases. Great recipe and flavor! Highly recommend.

Please be advised: This place has excellent meat at very reasonable prices. I bought Bacon on my last trip there and although the Bacon was priced about the same as the local stores, it was the best Bacon that I have ever had. On a side note, the photo showing the Herring brothers sign and number is that of their meat processing plant....not the retail store, like the title claims. The retail phone number is different. Best to get the proper number off their website.

This review is from the heart, truly. I should say for the heart because they are the only place I found chicken hearts, I bought 6lbs. The manager was awesome, helpful and informative about the meats available. I may have left with about 100 chicken hearts but Herring Brothers stole mine. ❤️

Scumbag processors who will steal up to half of your hanging weight to sell in their store. They steal from local farmers, are rude, and think they know more than the people growing the animals. Never using them to process any animals ever again. Don’t know a single farmer who feels any different either. If you buy meat from these folks there’s a good chance your buying meat stolen from a local farmer.

Small store but prices are reasonable. I found odd meats I can’t get anywhere else, like beef tongue, calves liver and a certain kind of Canadian bacon. I will definitely be back. They have homemade sausage too.

Had a 675 lb moose cut and packaged. All the steaks must have been cut by a 7th grader. All cut with the grain. The loins were tougher and more gristley than should have been, more like sirloin cuts! Also 3/4 inch thick on one part down to 3/8 Then to 1 and half at another spot. The Hamburg should have been ground through one more time, very steaky consistency. All in all I think this is meat from the owners buddy that got a 1000 pounder and divided it up between some smaller moose.

Best ribeye I have ever eaten hands down I’m visiting family in Brownsville we had the steak for dinner I will be in on my way home to Augusta it’s 22 miles out of my way but worth every drop of gas and every minute of my time to bring some back with me
