But the cottage exceeds my expectations!My Akita Sammy, has been coming since January 2015, and he LOVES the care he receives here!!!Daisy Mae, our lab, also comes and considers herself the futon princess 💕The staff goes the 2nd mile each and every day and we so appreciate them!!!!

Doggie Cottage has been an excellent and supportive place for boarding our cat and dog, as well as, taking excellent care for our dog three days a week. The folks there listen and understand the needs of who they are providing care for. I could go on and on! The management of the facility is always improving the property for their clients. My 3 girls have been boarded and attended daycare here and love it! They come home happy and tired! I have one social butterfly, one big mouth, and one very anxious pup- all three are up there in age but not spirit. I never worry when they're here as the entire staff are very personable with each dog making sure all 3 have a wonderful time, everytime.

I regret not bringing my pup here sooner. The staff at the Doggie Cottage are so wonderful and we love bringing our Lab Tucker here. You can tell how much they love their daycare pups and as a worrisome dog mom, it means the world to know someone is caring for my dog like I would. Tuck loves going so much that we can’t make any sudden movements around the 6:30 am time because he expects that it’s time to go to daycare and gets ridiculously excited. Thank you for all that you do, Doggie Cottage!

I have been coming to the Doggie Cottage since their opening over 20 years ago and can only say they are the best. Casey was one of the Doggie Cottage's first customers and absolutely loved it there and so much that a few times she would sit on the daybed with her back to us preferring to stay there!! Our family of multiple dogs over the years have all been members of the Doggie Cottage family. They have received the best of care from taking one to vet while we were away and giving the best of care always. My current Springer Spaniel starts barking with excitement miles before we get there! Thank you Doggie Cottage for all the wonderful care these many years and many more to come, you're the best!

I love this place! My dog’s tails don’t lie! They’re super excited as soon as we pull onto the road to get there! Doggie cottage staff has cared for 2 generations of our dogs and we’ve always had a positive experience with their caring staff! They brought our sweet Lucie to the vet when she was sick while we were on vacation and it saved her life! I will always recommend them highly and sing their praises!!

The people here are just wonderful. They helped us make sure our pup had a safe place to go when we were in the hospital with our baby and then a week later we had a family emergency out of state. Not only were they able to take him, they helped us board him overnight.I love that they take daily photos. They clearly care for the dogs there and are just so kind and helpful.

I can't say enough positive things about the Doggie Cottage location in Gray Maine! We have been utilizing their grooming services for several years and have never been disappointed. I have seen first hand how the staff treat the animals. It is clear to me they screen their staff to ensure only those who are truly dedicated and have pure love for these animals are hired! I highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants to have their dog well taken care of and loved every single day!

We’re in town from Texas for a long stay, and we’re in desperate need for a spa day for our two pups. They were able to get them in within a week which was great as other places were booked for weeks. I highly recommend The Doggie Cottage for grooming! Great prices and excellent service. Both dogs were completed within a few hours. They were both happy and looking great following their grooming. Thank you!

We took our 8 year old Portuguese Water Dog there last weekend for the first time. Totally impressed with the way everything was handled. Our girl Cassie had a great time socializing with everyone. She stayed for three days. We just booked her in for seven days in March while we are on vacation. Great to see pictures of her on their Facebook page. Highly recommended!

We took our 9 y/o mini poodle here to get groomed and they did a great job! I can't attest to their boarding but grooming was affordable, coat was done evenly, and besides being a bit weary of new people he loved it!

Took our boy, Koda to the Gray location for a grooming last week and they did an amazing job! He has a ton of fur and it’s no easy job grooming him and the groomer made him look great! So happy and will definitely bring him back

The staff we meet were pleasant and did a nice job of making sure my dog played well with others before she was accepted. She also seemed to have a fun day when we tried her out there. However, from the reviews I read I was concerned about how things might be if there was a problem. I could not bring myself to sign their contract because it excluded them from any liability even due to their own negligence. Things happen, but if it's due to negligence of the facility, that is completely unacceptable to me. Those two large red flags of the negative reviews and their contract made me decide to not leave my beloved dog there when we left for vacation. Two Star rating is because how can you trust someone who writes that in their contract? Negligence is unacceptable.
