Such a great experience. I will definitely be going back. Small alpaca farm in the back of their house, easy to find. It was obvious that the man who gave the tour really loved the animals. He was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. We were able to get close to most of the alpacas and even pet one of them (Nell). I recommend to anyone. Well behaved children of all ages would enjoy this experience, as well as adults! There is a tiny gift shop where they sell socks, hats, t-shirts and a few other things made from the wool.

A wonderful farm in Gray, Main, just off the Maine Turnpike on Route 202 west. We've passed it many times, and decided to stop there to visit the farm store. I'm so glad we did! The selection in the small store is very limited, as it is mainly socks, gloves and scarves made from the wool of the alpacas on the farm. You can also buy skeins of alpaca wool for your own projects. John was able to tell us which alpaca each skein came from! But the highlight of was that John gave us a fantastic tour of the farm. He was very patient and spent more time with us that I expected. The alpacas are shy, but John was able to coax a few to come up to us to be petted. If you're in the area, I highly recommend that you stop in.

Loved this place ! John was such a wonderful host, I didn’t expect to have 10,000 questions about alpacas and he answered all of them on the spot. You can just tell that he really loves his alpacas and they have a great relationship, how nice to see. He encouraged us to hug the alpacas and we were able to pet them and take selfies with them. We really loved Nellie who was the sweetest alpaca ever. Hope everyone can go and meet her! Thanks John !

Super awesome alpaca farm. Visiting Maine from chicago and had to find alpacas to see during my visit. This place did not disappoint the owner was great and has so much information and willing to share it all as he shows you all of his alpacas.

I went with some friends today and it was amazing! It’s clear to see that the owner truly loves his alpacas and they’re well cared for. He is full of knowledge and experience and he brings you around to meet all of the alpacas. They all have names and he knows each ones personality. It really is sweet. What an amazing experience. I have a slight obsession with alpacas and have always wanted to meet some. This was the perfect place to do it! I will definitely be going back to visit and volunteer. Highly recommend stopping here! They also have a little shop with alpaca gloves, socks, scarves etc.

Fantastic place to see and be around Alpacas. The owner John was very nice and knew a lot about alpacas. He gave us a tour and let us in his alpaca store. Highly recommend checking it out.

We made an impromptu visit to the Carrageen farm with our two grade school kids, and were met by one of the owners. We were treated to a full tour of the farm and the kids got to meet the alpacas. Gorgeous farm, animals and yarn!

Absolutely recommend you to stop by this Alpaca farm. It’s only half an hr from Portland and you are in for treat! The owners John and Carol are passionate about Alpacas and you can see it in their tour!

This was highlight of my granddaughter's visit to Maine. The owners could not have been nicer and we had a fantastic time learning about and mingling with these beautiful and gentle creatures.
