We absolutely LOVE the staff at refreshing paws. It was only our Shiba Inu, Kira’s second stay and she was over the moon. She ran in the door and licked their face she remembered having such an amazing time. The staff are so sweet and I just love them. Kira was in heat during her stay and they still welcomed her with kindness. Will definitely be continuing to use them when we travel!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The facility came highly recommended. They are very accommodating for special needs. They seem quite organized. I'm sure they get good care. The owner is a vet tech.The cages were large but bare with cement floors. It was loud with all the dogs barking. The outdoor pens were a row of cages with cement floors. Very sparten.There are indoor and outdoor play areas.

Up until recently, we have had family watch our two dogs (beagle and pit/husky mix) when we have gone on vacation. That's no longer an option, so we had to hunt for a good kennel. This is the one!! We were nervous dropping them off, but the good folks at Refreshing Paws (Whitney especially) reassured us that they'd treat them like family. She even called us on our trip to tell us our dogs were doing great, and said we could call anytime! That peace of mind was wonderful. When we came to get the dogs, they were wagging their tails and seemed so happy! A great experience for all!

My dogs went to a kennel in Massachusetts and when I picked them up they were extremely stressed out, at first I assumed it was because they had never been to a kennel before, I tried bringing them back one more time after that, but my 115 lb dog refused to go in. I was apprehensive about trying out another kennel, but Refreshing Paws has turned their kennel experience completely around! Every time I bring them in they are happily wagging their tails and eager to go in! My fur babies are a HUGE part of my family, so ensuring they are cared for and their needs are met is very important to me. I will absolutely continue to bring them in for boarding!

We were struggling to find a suitable doggie daycare for our Bassett Hound and Maltipoo while we went away on spring break. My Maltipoo had never been to a doggie daycare before. I googled different places and saw this place had almost 5 stars. I wish I could give them 10 stars.They are so wonderful! Our Bassett Hound would only eat a certain food while we were gone and the owner of this facility drove to the Veterinarian on her own to buy the food. When I picked the dogs up they were happy and healthy. We could not have asked for a more wonderful facility to leave our dogs at. If you are hesitant, don't be. We will always use Refreshing Paws when we travel.

I’ve been bringing both of my dogs here for boarding for a few years now. No matter where I live (currently in Lewiston), it’s absolutely worth the trip. The staff are always so friendly and so happy to see my pups. I know they are in great hands and I can tell that they love being there. Grooming is fantastic and you can’t beat the prices. So so grateful these guys exist!!

The owners, staff, and groomers at Refreshing Paws are some of the nicest most reliable folks around. They have always taken excellent care of all of our dogs throughout the years.Our little dog Toby is an older, diabetic dog, who is also partially blind. When we went on a 10 day trip Refreshing Paws took wonderful care of him and administered his insulin injection twice a day.Naturally when we got back Toby was glad to see us and get home, but he wasn't exhausted or traumatized the way dogs can be when they come back from being kenneled. I highly, highly recommend Refreshing Paws!

We took our puppy here for his first groom. We were able to quickly get his an appointment upon calling. Megan did a fantastic job grooming him and his hair is growing back perfectly. She made sure his hairy ears (common in doodles) were cleaned and trimmed to avoid future infection. When we picked him up, he didn’t want to leave! The pricing is extremely reasonable and the service exceeded our expectations.

I will never take my dog anywhere else but here. I usually groom her myself because I was so worried about sending her to a groomer. I had intense anxiety because of all those horror stories about pets being hurt or getting sick at a groomer.I wish i knew the woman's name who does my dog, the first few times she would call me during her service to say that my dog is doing well etc. All the staff is very friendly and truly care about your pets. Plus they really know what they're doing.Also the price is very reasonable. Only accepts cash though

Recently had a hospital stay and had to house my dog JJ somehere. Couldn't have made a better choice! The staff was very kind and caring to both of us. I was nervious about putting my dog in boarding but simply read the reviews. My wife and JJs mom who died on 11/22 would be quite happy considering the dog had never been boarded. Let's just say the dog came out with his happy face and didn't want to leave! Maybe!? Anyway, thanks again for creating an oasis in a very trying period.

It's a great place to take your dog a and cats very inexpensive for boArding fee. They have always treated my cat with great respect and she's a happier cat when she comes out from a spa vacation for her. Thank you referring paws you all rock. And.are #1 in my book now and.always forever.

They Treat our pups like Family. Every time we've made reservations for our dogs, Spanky and Louis, the staff appear to get excited. When we pick them up, the staff gushes over how sweet our "pups" (a 16 yo Klein Poodle and our 9yo gentle giant Mastador) are--our pets are quite the pair LOL. We know wecan leave town knowing our babies are loved and cared for. To add, Refreshing Paws were truly heroes when we had to go out of town last minute and they happily took our pups in.

Great job on grooming my mixed breed, Bicheon/ShihTzu. I've also used them for doggie day care and boarding. My doggo loved it there! He stayed two weeks.

Love the room they offer for training! Convenient and enough distractions from the barking dogs in the kennel and cooking smells from the house to teach them to ignore these distractions. Very tough parking with cars often backing up on a busy road in the dark waiting for a spot.

We have taken our small pekingese here for both boarding and grooming several times and have always been very happy. The grooming is a little more expensive than the other local place we take our dog to, but the results are worth it.

Did puppy play group with Mallory and Rocky had a wonderful time with some new friends. You can tell Mallory loves the dogs and gave us great tips during the playgroup...Great Job...will go back for sure

I had to kennel my dogs, something that I never thought I would have to do, but because of a move and needed a place, they were willing to reduce the price a bit to help me out. Let's face it, either way you look at it kennels are expensive . I have 10 dogs, granted 9 are tiny, lol average 7 lbs. But out of all the other kennels in the area ( Greed ) the owner was willing to bend over backwards for me. The others were terrible or couldn't even get back, me and my friends called places from Gray to Portland. Very sad that people today forget why there doing what there doing. Being a business owner, I've always gone out of my way to help people, it's not about the money. Good karma comes back !! That is pay that's worth more.THANK YOU ALL AT REFRESHING PAWS !!! ♡♡♡♡

So I love this place, I have a crazy chocolate lab who has thrived going to doggy daycare at refreshing paws.The girls always greet my pup with a smile ,lol even when she is jumping all over them at 8 am.dogs don't lie ,my pup can't wait to see them.The whole crew goes beyond what's expected and I truly feel that they all love dogs and care about them.i am a worry wart about my dog but leave her in full confidence she will have a great day of playing with her pup friends.
