The girl that was working tonight 02/27 was great! The best customer service ever! She helped me with my online FedEx order and was so kind. I didn't catch her name but she had brown hair in a high ponytail.

I know that there's quite a few negative reviews but I'm honestly betting they're from many people not understanding how pharmacies work or dealing with old employees that aren't there anymore. My experience has been shakey at times but it's very rarely the fault of the pharmacy. Like only being able to order medication Mon-Thurs and me sending a prescription on Friday and can't get anything until Monday. The pharmacy has 0 control over this and it isn't their fault.Everyone I've dealt with has been pretty amazing. It's pretty easy for me to be smiling when I'm done talking to them because they're just really great people and have always been very friendly. The pharmacist herself, and even the techs, go ABOVE AND BEYOND for me whenever they can. Normally since I sent a prescription Friday, I would have been kinda SoL until Monday. But because I'd been going there a while the pharmacist, just because she thought it would be a good idea, ordered a bunch extra of my medication and was able to fill it completely within an hour.Because I take pain medication, getting them and dealing with insurance is always annoying as hell. I'm sure they're sick of it after a couple years and yet they've still made sure I was taken care of. Please remember that many of the things that happen are not the workers fault and if you're looking for somewhere where the workers actually care about you and will put in the effort to help you, this place has been great. Just be patient.( With Hannaford being flooded here in Gardiner and shutting down, ALL Hannaford prescriptions moved over to this Walgreens. Absolutely SWAMPED with prescriptions. Hannaford isn't open yet(3/22/24) so they likely still have many of the prescriptions and could be slow or have a hard time if you're getting your first prescription from them. Just be understanding :] )

On February 3rd 2024, my husband was sick and needed to be treated at the VA Togus urgent care clinic. Since their pharmacy was closed on weekends, we had to take his prescription to an outside pharmacy.Walgreens in Gardiner was the only place open by the time my husband was released. As soon as we walked in, a young lady greeted us with a smile (Sorry I didn't catch her name) and helped us immediately and went to work filling his prescription. The prescription was done in about ten minutes. The young man at the pharmacy register was polite and professional as well.I just believe in giving praise and credit for a job well done. Keep up the great work!

There is a consistent 20-30 minute wait to pick up medications, at LEAST, even if there is no line and several workers in the pharmacy. The ladies are rude, and I cannot wait to switch back to Hannafords. Literally anywhere else would be better.

Thank goodness Darrin came back. I would have left this very unorganized pharmacy a long time ago. I travel and need a pharmacy that has locations everywhere. The company needs to step in and get this pharmacy back to what is was prepandemic. This pharmacy has had no drive thru for a long time and no one to answer phone calls. Its ridiculous

I switched to this pharmacy in the springtime. (Walgreens in Gardner) Every time I have gone to pick up my medication I have been met with a smile and an eagerness to assist me. One time, the lady found a way to get 80% off my my prescription! They are understaffed but still manage to get what I need done in a timely manner. Thank you for all yalls hard work!Wanted to add I still go here and am ALWAYS met with a smile and people going above and beyond. I wish I could remember everyone’s names. One pharmacist, she’s a younger lady, blonde hair- she is the absolute sweetest. There’s and older man pharmacist and he goes above and beyond. The pharmacy techs are All so nice to me. I do know Darians name not sure if I’m spelling it correctly. But he should be cherished and protected at all costs!! He treats every one who walks through those doors the same no matter what.

If I could give a zero star I would. This place is always behind and the slowest service I’ve ever seen. They will tell you your medication will be ready in an hour then 6 hours later, you’re still waiting. Tonight I went to pick up my medication and yet again, not ready yet. When the cashier went to talk to the pharmacist about getting it ready, she yelled at the cashier and the cashier began to tear up and say ‘don’t yell at me’. Then she explained to her that she has anxiety and the pharmacist rolled her eyes and kept doing whatever she was doing. The other two employees in the pharmacy wouldn’t even help this poor girl run the counter and the drive through. Terrible place to have to rely on.

I went into the store after going to walk in care in town. I found the store very similarly set up to the Walgreens I go to in my town. I was picking up a few things, and I was approached by a very nice employee who helped me find what I needed, and talked to me for a bit, and I felt very comfortable in the store, and the employees were very pleasant. The reason I gave four stars instead of 5, is because they did not have the selection of certain items I was looking for, but did have similar items

This place is a joke. Prescriptions are never ready even a couple days after they are supposed to be. I waisted 20 minutes on the phone waiting to speak to someone. When I got to the pharmacy the car infront of me was at the window for 20 minutes. When they drove off and I drove up the pharmacist put a window closed sign up and walked away.

They don't know how to answer their phones and don't know how to run a prescription through insurance. Get nothing but the run around

If I could I would probably rate it at 0. I get that they have a hard time trying to get medications with a pandemic going around. But I’ve gone in a couple times after them saying that they’ll have it ready and it would be three or four days later that it would be ready. The only time that I got a medication right away was when I got medicine for my sinus infection. And today, I called them just to ask if what my prescription status is and if I can pick it up, and I called at 10:01 am and I was the third person in line on the phone and then it finally said that there was one person left in front of me and then it changed to the saying that the workers are answering other people’s phone calls. I was waiting for 40 minutes starting at 10:01 am. I wasted 40 minutes on the phone that I could’ve used to work on classwork. So utterly disappointing and frustrating. 😤😠😡🤬

Be prepared to wait, and yell at the top of your lungs, because they can’t hear you with there old broken equipment. There completely Overrun with customers, and they cannot handle the volume.I’m sure they’re very happy that they keep absorbing smaller pharmacies that go out of business, but there is absolutely no service at this pharmacy. If you don’t mind waiting 30 minutes or more in drive-through, or standing in line for at least 45 minutes in the store, this is your pharmacy.

I visited Walgreen's and I was not impressed by their service. The staff there was okay just seemed to be shorthanded. The store was messy and disorganized, and the prices were too high. I had to wait for a long time in line. This Walgreen's Pharmacy needs to improve their customer service and quality standards if they want to keep their customers.

I have never had such a terrible experience with any other pharmacy then I did with this one. The staff was incredibly rude. They did not have my prescription ready 4 hours after it was electronically sent in. Ok, I get they were busy..I go back the next day and was able to pay out of pocket for enough to get me through the weekend since I was having problems with my insurance. I called that night (Friday) to make sure that my the rest of my prescription would be ready Monday to pick up. The man I spoke to said “yes it is here and ready but you can’t pick it up Monday”.. Monday rolls around and guess what?! They have nothing for me. At this point I’m extremely frustrated. I told the pharmacist that I had spoke to a man on Friday and he informed me it was all ready and was able to pick up Monday. They didn’t care. Told me they would “try to fill it today” that didn’t happen! Tuesday morning I get a voicemail from Walgreens telling me that they are OUT OF STOCK! They “should have more in a few days” Are you kidding me?! Now I’m angry..completely unacceptable! 😡 I will never spend another dime at Walgreens again. I am so disgusted with the service I received. Apparently it’s ok for patients to go without their lifesaving medications for days. Never again! Would give 0 stars if I could. Would not recommend. Also, the elderly diabetic woman in front of me told me they never have her needles in stock and she was hoping this time they would. She was so upset when they told her yet again they do not have any and would “hopefully have more in a few days” What a joke!!!

This is by far the worst pharmacy ever! They are dishonest, overwhelmed and out of touch with people's needs. They partially fill medications and act like this is normal. Also the slowest customer service, which infuriates me! Oh and let's not forget the long lines 15 people deep on average. More than once I've discovered the pharmacy is close for entire weekends. Never ever again!

Checked in 15 minutes early for my appointment. Waited 20 minutes no one even gave me any paper to fill out for my 6 year old covid vaccine. Waited another 10 minutes and still nothing. So now it's been half an hour. 15 minutes past my appointment. So I left. I get it. You're busy buy I had an APPOINTMENT for a reason. They have NO respect for my time so I left. Hannaford give me my paperwork for my vaccine immediately after I checked in.

Been trying to get a prescription filled for three days now. First time I called it in I was told it would be done around 10am the next day and I could pick it up anytime after that. So I go around 5:30pm to get it and am told that it’s not ready yet. Not a big deal I’ll just pick it up tomorrow. Tomorrow comes around and it’s still not ready. Slightly more irritating but not the end of the world. Finally I go through the drive through to pick it up this morning before work and....it’s still not fully ready. The pharmacist needs to still look it over and she’s giving someone a covid vaccine so they can’t tell me how long it’ll be before I can finally get my prescription. I’m told to circle around the building every time a new car comes up behind me so they can help them and come back to check and see if the pharmacist was finally able to look at my prescription. I ended up just leaving because I was already late for work. I still have no prescription, was called and told that it is finally ready so maybe I will actually be able to get it after work. Overall the woman I dealt with was very rude and kept making excuses. I completely understand being backed up, but it shouldn’t take someone three days to get there prescription.

Used to be good but has gone downhill badly in the last 2 years or so. I never get prescriptions filled on time now and get no notifications if there is an issue, no call nothing. Im not talking hours or a day. I keep having prescriptions get delayed by DAYS.

The challenges people face with a mental health condition a hard enough. Having poorly trained staff who lack sensitivity/training/empathy are an additional challenge people should NOT have to face. There have been multiple occurrences of inappropriate customer service related to getting prescriptions filled. If you have a monthly prescription need, I'd steer clear of here. It is sad that people who call to politely ask questions about their prescription are met with un-provoked hostility (on multiple occurrences in the last 3 months). Walgreens I urge you to take a look at the phone conversations your employees have with clients who have prescription here and PLEASE get your staff better trained. Extremely disappointed.

Had 615pm appt for booster. At 630pm the 6 pm person asked why the 645pm and 630pm persons went next. I said I would contact Walgreen headquarters and she said fine go ahead. Finally at 7pm I had my booster because she realized she turned paperwork up side down when we checked in. They blamed it on understaffed but I call it poor management. They thought it was a big joke. Nothing will happen but at least I got to tell what happened. Slowest walgreens around. This is the Gardiner Maine store. Best of luck.

I see most bad reviews but honestly if you’ve been to cvs in Augusta then this place is amazing. Walgreens actually answers their phone not just listen to it ring like I’ve seen personally at cvs.My first encounter with them I was picking up my son's prescription as we just moved to this area, they didn’t have my child insurance number on file as I’ve never filled at a Walgreens for him before and I didn’t have the number on me, so I tried to call cvs stone in Augusta to get the number I waited on hold for 35+ minutes. The woman behind the counter and male pharmacist at WALGREENS where very nice and helpful they got on the phone an called them to try an get through so I could get my baby’s prescription an get home to him. They got through before I did. I’ve filled many more with this Walgreens since then and I’ve had absolutely no issues they’re always helpful when I call or go in!

I miss apothecary pharmacy , going from there to here is unreal. I'm on alot of meds for my MS and so far they have screwed up every one one way or another. They was supposed to hire several more techs and another pharmacist to handle the overflow. As you can see They haven't. Last time I was in there was 1 tech and 1 pharmacist on a Friday. That's not going to cut it.thats how mistakes happen, give people the wrong meds and could seriously hurt or kill someone. But will be looking elsewhere for service.

The store workers are nice enough but the pharmacy has really gone down hill. I miss the old pharmacist. He worked there for years, was always kind and helpful. The new crew lost my prescription, and then said they never got it. They should review their cameras and they will see the day I handed it to the girl. I even remember asking her questions about it.

First, I want to preface this by stating this is not a review about the store employees, but the pharmacy itself. It's highly likely the other reviews are not exaggerated. At all.I'm a medical professional and have had to contact this pharmacy frequently, for the last 10 years, regarding patient prescriptions. I dread having to call now, and hope and pray it's Mr. Pharmacist that answers my call and not Ms. Pharmacist. The first few interactions with her, I gave her the benefit of the doubt - maybe I misheard her, maybe she was having a tough day. Today, was the worst, an no question of imagining it. When inquiring about a prescription equivalent that would be more affordable for a patient, she looked up the info and stated "It's only $31......$31 is too expensive?" Her tone was one of incredulity - as if the patient should not have an issue with the price. I was taken back by her attitude and called her on it. Of course, she scrambled and stated she was asking me a question, as if repeating it back to me. I know what I heard - the tone she took, it was not a question for clarification. This was it for me, and I spoke with my manager who also has had the displeasure of dealing with Ms. Pharmacist and her unprofessional attitude. In sharing my encounter, two other coworkers also have had similar encounters with her. Wondering if there would be anything online for reviews, I look.....and behold! Several patients have also suffered her rudeness.I just want to say, I've called on multiple other occasions in the last few months, and have interacted with Mr. Pharmacist - he is polite and very helpful, is not condescending or come off as if he's put out by my call. Yes, the previous pharmacist, Saliesh, was a peach. Always polite and helpful, even on days I could tell he was busy and feeling stressed. Not once was he ever rude. We miss him very much.

Why are there so many bad reviews? Cause if you live between Brunswick, Gardiner and wiscasset this is your closest Walgreens. There are only two registers at the pharmacy, usually only one is staffed. Then there is a single drive thru lane. Hey Walgreens Régional: you need to increase Rx capacity here. Period. The problem people have is they want:1. Their prescription.2. A Covid test3. A Covid/flu vaccine. And they’re all queuing through the same three pathways with limited staff. And the staff is not up to capacity to handle any of this. So we all complain. Then there is a 30 minute break in the middle of the day and boy can I tell you at 12 there is a rush of people trying to get their rx/vaccine/test all at the same time before the lunch break. Basically there is no good reason AUGUSTA has like THREE Walgreens and this area has one that is understaffed. They know how to fix it but they won’t invest. So please keep complaining. Better yet take your prescription elsewhere and that will make the regional heads notice.

Meds never ready when promised. So many mix ups it’s unbelievable. Today was the biggest screw up ever. Meds are not for me or else I’d switch drug stores.

My ONLY beef, is with people who sit in the drive through for 15-20 minutes. If your order isn't ready..move the heck along. Come back when it is.

First of all on behave of the employees located in the pharmacy Dept. I'm genuinely concerned about the accuracy from the negative reviews that appear to be nothing less than inappropriate and rude! pharmacy are very kind and efficient when it comes to quality service and accuracy! I have been using this Pharmacy for a few years now and I have never witnessed or observed any misconduct of professionalism nor have I witnessed any consumer treated/interact any less than my own friendly and helpful personal experiences! Quite honestly, I'm very disturbed after reading such hateful reviews and I'm quite appalled to say the least and it's definitely degrading and undermining to the high level of compassion and hard work each and every staff deliver to all of there consumers on a professional and compassionate platform that should never be underdimised because of 1 experience that may have been avoided through communication! I'm always offered advice and given the opportunity to ask questions relating to the medication I'm receiving in a very professional, friendly and timley manner! Everyone including myself are always given the opportunity to ask any questions or express any concerns!

13 month old daughter is very ill, called in a medication stopped by 30 minutes later and they told me it wasn't ready come back in two hours. Ok fine. I call two and a half hours later and they haven't even touched it. They say they have no information on her and we should have filled out that paperwork when we were there the first time. Yet no one says any of this to me when i stopped by. The incompetence of their employees is outrageous. As if this is McDonald's or something stupid, like my daughters life is such a non issue they can't be bothered to do their jobs properly.

This is the worst pharmacy that I have ever dealt with. They are rude, unhelpful, and lazy. They never make any attempt to solve a problem, and when confronted about problems that I was having, they told me to go somewhere else. You don't have to tell me twice. Unbelievable. The regional manager was supposed to call me, and I never heard back from him. I have moved on to the CVS inside of Target (Augusta) and they are great.
