It's probably a corporate thing but customers don't need to be greeted by every department. I've started coming here less because I'll be greeted 3 sometimes 4 times when I'm just trying to grab one quick thing. I feel bad for the employees that have to do it. Also they sell super expired food sometimes (years out of date) so always check.

I always love Reny's. I had to wait until I was an adult to go, because my parents would never take us. I probably would have been pretty annoying, so I understand. I could shop for hours at Reny's, if people left me to my own devices.I don't know where the stuff comes from, and I don't care.There's no way you're going to walk out of there saying "There were no deals" because that's ALL they have.I wish I had an employee discount.

If you are a fan of this Maine based chain and haven't visited their store in Gardiner -GO. Now.Two floors ( and a convenient elevator! ) spanning three storefronts are filled with delightful and affordable treasures.From shoes & brand name clothing to housewares and bedding they've got you covered. You'll also find a large selection of foods, many of which are unique and made in Maine.Whenever I'm shopping for a gift to send out of state (or the country), Reny's is my first stop as they offer quality products which represent our wonderful state: Moose, Deer, Evergreen, Seaside and blueberry motifs are everywhere!

Always helpful staff.unfortunately, I forgot they close at 5 pm and arrived at 445 to exchange things i bought earlier in the day..staff helped me find smaller size...ended up with yellow shirt instead of blue. It was $3 on clearance rack..perfect

Went shopping and bought a box of cookies and opened them on the road and they were awful, checked the date they were a month expired. When I called the store to tell them the ladt told.me there allowed to sell products 90 days past there best by date. I have never heard of this and now I'll never by a food product from here again. I'm traveling and now way to get money back but everyone else should be buyer beware of thier policies.

Check your receipt! We always love this place. Always something for everyone and usually different things when you go. Fun spot to shop. Have to be careful though because they will double ring your purchases. It's happened on multiple occasions and sometimes not just one item on your receipt.

I always enjoy shopping at Renys. They have just about everything I need. There is a great selection of shoes, boots and clothing for everyone in the family. There is a great selection of foods , health & beauty items, pet items, and household items. With several stores located around the state, there is one close to everyone.Today, they had pansies for sale. These cute flowers add an instant pop of color to every yard and window box. They have a great assortment of seasonal items.

Reny's is a Maine based department store that carries a little of everything, much of which isn't available anywhere else in the area. Carhartt clothing is a staple, as are boots and shoes. Sporting goods is a small but well thought out department where you can buy a packbasket, snowshoes, flashlights, compasses, and the like. This is a small but dependable store with unique products and fair prices. Product mix is stable so you can depend on core products, such as outdoor clothing, being available whenever you visit. I almost never leave this store empty handed and always have a great time shopping there. If you like the leisurely feel of an old time department store with wooden staircases and displays on the sidewalk outside, and if you want quality work clothes and footwear, unique Maine gifts, or toys still made of wood and steel, this is THE place to go. You won't regret it.

Love Renys , found 2 matchbox super chase Mercedes amg cars . And my double bubble bubble gum lol always great deals on everything. HD duct tape $5.99 ,and thicker and stickier than regular duct tape brand. And half the price ! Also decant assortment of flashlights cheap $5-$8 for most and work really well ! Bedding , have a good selection great prices too. About everything. And I'm pretty picky. And everyone that works there is super nice and helpful. Gotta love Renys in Gardiner. It's a Maine adventure ! 🤣

has always been a Maine adventure.this one has a great view of the kennebec River from their upstairs window.the store is well stocked with most everything you need. but they do need larger size shoes and boots.

Fell on an obstacle on 12/24, Dana who I believe is a manager called me the following Monday and said they would take care of me, Reny's insurance company denied my claim and now my attorney is involved and will be in contact with Arcadia Insurance in Westbrook. I will update this. Reny's has lost a customer. Prices on some items are ok, but some clothing and footware isn't a deal, other items are. Check expiration dates on items that have them. I will not recommend Reny's, they should take care of their customers!!!

Renys is many things. Modern department store. Down Home Country Store. Run by people who care. Staff who are attentive and patient. And go out of their way to see that you get the product you need. Even during the busy Christmas rush they were wonderful. They're on a street with buildings over a hundred years old and they keep that old atmosphere with a new look. Check it out if you ever get to Gardiner Maine great place

I had so much fun at this store! First time I've been in there for years and loved it. I like how they have an elevator to the second floor and each room has different items. They have a good collection of everything. Prices are pretty good. Friendly people too!

Iam a regular customer and I shop here monthly.They have everything in clothing apparel and of very good quality,and their prices are very reasonable. A person can find almost anything from boots&shoes to yarn,gardening and the list goes on. If they don't have what you need on hand they will have it shipped to their store from their other locations. The staff is very friendly,but as we know,we all have our moments!😊👍
