I just had an experience with AHVC. Our dogs Baxter and Bender have been going here for years. Always have good service, but today they went above and beyond.Baxter had surgery recently, and just ripped out some of his sutures. It was 3:50 on a Friday, and they close at 4. I call anyway. If nothing else they can give me advice on where else we can go to get it fixed. Instead of telling me to drive an hour away to Freeport, they say "How fast can you get here?" I'm 15 mins away, they say "See you then."Less than an hour after my dog ripped his sutures out and I'm home, on my couch, with a fixed up dog, and writing a review.I can't say enough good things about these great people. Just fantastic.

It's always a great experience when we go to At Home Veterinary Care! Everyone is very friendly and really cares about your pet. I never have to wait long to be seen, and everyone is very patient if you have a nervous, wiggly dog! I definitely recommend them for all your veterinary needs.

The provider misdiagnosed our buddy in February AND performed unnecessary surgery. 3 months later, we lost our 7 yr old Shepherd to metastatic cancer. I think they were too quick to pass judgment without performing simple diagnostic tests.

My pup has seizures when she gets to the door of the vets office. Daisy, Terri and Dr. Crispell all come outside when we arrive and take care of business out on the lawn or in the car. No seizures at the door since they have been doing this. They are the best!

Not too happy with my last experience so I have changed from 5 to 1 star. Patrick was at vet we asked about getting flea meds from 800petmeds, we did as was told go home and order and they would verify script... When I did they could not even fax it in for me.... So as I am not a vet I must mail it in which slows down this by 4 days!

At Home Veterinary care has the most friendly, helpful, and caring staff. The doctors and staff truly care about your pets well being. They are thorough with your pet and provide quality information regarding your pet. My small family unfortunately had a family dog pass on. The staff here handled the situation very professional and had such sympathy for my family. They understood how hard the situation was and we felt they went above and beyond. I strongly recommend this veterinary for your pets. You will be very pleased.

I can't say enough good things about At Home veterinary Care. I recently got a new puppy and two days later she became sick I called my own veterinarian and they were too busy to see her. I called around 6 different places and no one could take her in that morning, then I called At Home veterinary Care they were so very sympathetic and caring they got me in within an hour, all of the staff and the doctors are amazing very kind and took the time with me and my little Keira.I'm so proud to say that she is feeling so much better thanks to the care she received from At Home veterinary Care. I have now switched all of my animal Care to them it's a little drive for me from my home but so well worth it.I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I plan on doing that. Thanks again to all the amazing staff.

We are new to the area and needed care for our dog and two cats. Couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Flowers and his staff. The office is bright and clean. The staff are helpful and clearly love their four legged clients. Dr. Flowers not only performed a thorough exam, but he took the time to educate me about my cat's issues. Very happy to have found this veterinary practice. Recommend highly.

We wouldn't trust our fur babies to anyone else. The doctors and technicians are very caring, compassionate and patient. They take the time to listen and explain and when they say "feel free to call with any questions or concerns" they mean it. I love the option for e-mailed visit notes, the savings account, and the house call service is amazing. When my sister was too sick to travel and her little dog was suffering and it was time to say goodbye, Dr. Crispell went out of her way to come to our home, even though it was an off service day for house calls. The entire team was amazing when one of our cats mysteriously took ill recently. They truly went above and beyond searching for answers, explaining his prognosis and treatment options and supporting us in our ultimate decision to say goodbye. I think they were almost as upset as we were. Truly wonderful people and excellent services at very fair prices.

Dr. Flowers is one of the best Veterinarians I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I have been bringing my furry family here for many, many years; almost as long as the building has been standing. Prior to the building, I called them and Dr. Flowers gave me wonderful advice over the phone at no charge. Great people. Friendly staff.

My 18 year old cat Lily was actively dying and had reached the point where she could not walk. I believe she had cancer as she was rapidly losing weight and eating very little. She just wanted to sleep in our laps. When she had difficulty walking I knew it was time... I called At Home Veterinary Care and even though we were not a client, they kindly made an appointment for us. They were so kind and compassionate and allowed me as much time as I needed to say goodbye to Lily. It's only been a few days and I miss Lily so much but I am grateful for the kindness that Dr. Bolduc and the staff showed. I will definitely reccomend At Home Veterinary Care to everyone.

My cat has a degenerative tooth disease and when she just went in for oral surgery, At Home took amazing care of her. They explained in detail exactly what needed to be done and messaged me as soon as she woke up after surgery and let me know that everything went smoothly, which made me feel sooo relieved. Normally I wouldn't do a bad review on a place I've been going to since it opened. Even before they opened. I was with flowers when he worked at companion in Augusta. But, this is the first time I agree with some of these reviews about when you have an emergency or something comes up and you need an appointment right off. My phone was shut off so I called back 19 mins after they opened and I was told all the cancellations were already filled. That I would have to wait for the lewiston clinic to open at 5pm. If I knew I couldn't get her in to my own vet so that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg I would've brought her there already. Already thought of that. Other then them doing that to me I've had no problems and love flowers.

HIGHLY recommend! They take great care of your pets and are very realistic with treatment options. It is hard to get appointments at times but that is happening at most vet places and is a reflection on covid not the practice.

I originally Loved this Vet. They are a bit more expensive than others we had been to. However, I believed they genuinely cared about our animals. They were always nice and talkative. they always did other small but helpful things like printing out a list of procedures and options so we could see how much each thing cost and get the best for our pets. I trusted them and brought our rescue dog Gracie to them. Gracie's previous owner kept her in a crate most of the day. She was so afraid of the crate when we got her she BLOODIED her nose on the bars to get out. (NEVER PUT HER IN IT AGAIN) we only did that one time thinking it would comfort her in a new place having no idea it was a tramatic thing for her. Never wanted her to go through that again. Shes my baby and leaving her for the day at the vet was hard enough but I did so believing I did not have to worry. The nightmare of her thinking I abandoned her and to a cage was something I had nightmares about.I told them she can’t be in a cage. Gave them the opportunity to tell me that was not possible. But they didn't. So I went to pick her up and a girl I had never talked to or dealt with before started giving me the discharged info and informs me (Like its no big deal) that “oh yeah she cut her nose” (Young and very dismissive)They put Gracie in the big cage which still has bars so she was still terrified for at least 30 seconds and injured herself. You gotta understand avoiding this very thing was why I chose to take her to them.30 second or 1 second it SHOULD NOT have happened at all. I will say that if just going for an appointment I recommend Dr. Flowers he is very kind. But any pet with anxiety or separation issues I would stress taking the pet elsewhere for anything that means leaving them at the vets,

Love this place and all the professionals who work there. Have always received wonderful care for our two fur babies. Would not take them any where else. We are "snowbirds" and spend every summer in Maine and winters in Arizona. Our kitties fly back and forth with us each year and we know that once we arrive in Maine each May if we need Vet Care for our kitties, they wil get the best from AHVC. Have told everyone we know about this place.

We pass many Vet Clinics on our way to Gardiner and there's a reason for that - our fur kids always receive great care. Dr Flowers and staff are kind, compassionate, friendly and respectful. HIghly recommend this practice - 20 year client:)

My wife and I had a suffering dog. Dr Flowers went out of his way to make an after hour trip to my home that evening with his lovely wife.They are so nice and compassionate. Update to review: Dr. Osborne is no longer there, got a new Doctor, and now she isn't there anymore. I have a compromised dog and need one vet to be her caregiver. I don't like shuffling from one doc to the next. So we are finding a new office where they can keep their Vets around longer than a few months. :( Loved Dr. Osborne...so sad he left.Dr. Osborne is wonderful with my little dog. Would highly recommend this clinic.

I requested a health certificate for my dog to travel through Canada, given I needed something verifying he was in good health for the trip dated 10 or fewer days to the date of my travel. It had been 14 days since they had seen my dog and they refused to simply verify he is still in the same condition and send me on my way with a certificate. They wanted me to pay for another office visit. Considering they are also the most expensive vet I've been to in the area (about 25% more for identical services), I am looking for a different veterinarian.
