Great shop with a wide selection of products! I do think some items are priced high, hopefully due to the manufacturer and not the business. A leash I wanted for my dog was $42.99 before taxes and the only fancy part was that it was reflective with a padded handle. I ended up getting some treats and toys but purchased my leash elsewhere.

This is a great local pet store. It has a really good selection of healthy food for cats and dogs. I switched my dog over to a natural limited ingredient food and she is so much healthier. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their products.

A really well stocked shop. We went to grab stuff for giant dog and they has lots of options for a buddy his size and everything in between. Impressive display of dog treats. Super nice staff. Priced reasonably. Easy to get to with tons of parking.

I can never make it in on time with my work schedule. The owner was kind enough to let me come in a few moments before closing. He stayed with my husband and I- giving us options for my wild chewer. My family came to visit, with their dogs, and asked for a good place- they planned on Petsmart and I took them here instead. They were so impressed with the variety! I keep going back and spending way too much money because I love this place. Great products, good service, and I always find what I need. Cannot wait to bring my pups in for their birthday and get them some bakery treats.

Was less then impressed. Lots of stuff but very little unique items. Most of the offerings can be purchased at chain stores. I did find catnip pillows, local grown catnip and was happy with that. Staff was basically invisible. Was a nice walk from town to get there.

They have many homemade products here and nice people in general. Some of the prices listed on things such as litter are a little high. However this is understandable seeing how it's a local business and do not buy enough product in bulk to give cheaper prices from places such as petsmart or petco. If you are looking for something specific this is the place to go. If you are looking for pet toys then look no further they have a huge selection of toys to pick from even bigger then other pet chain stores. The staff was incredibly friendly. Then there's the design of the store It has 3 levels! I was very impressed by the sheer quantity of everything they have. Always go out and support you local business if you can even if it means paying a little extra it goes a long way for the community!

We love it and Sir Charles loved it! He loved his doggy spa day! The dog wash area down stairs is amazing! They have everything you need and then some! We get his treats there all the time and he loves them so much! Highly recommend stopping in for pup treats or really any of your pets needs! Will definitely be a frequent stop for us.

Cute upscale pet store in Freeport. Large variety of toys for all kinds of animals. Upstairs are carriers, beds, and sale items. Downstairs is dog and cat food. Both dry and canned. They make their own dog treats and give out a sample to visiting dogs. Very nice.

I would love to give the place more stars but I’m sadden by the information. I had a lovely young female help not only me but my friend. We were shopping for our small dogs unsure of what treats to get them. She was very knowledgeable!I went back recently to find out, she’s no longer there! The good ones always leave!😐Products we’re kinda pricey, I guess I’ll goto petsmart, closer to home.

I just love this store. It's small, but packed with a lot of stuff! Amanda is very knowledgeable and is always able to help when needed. They have a great selection of dog snacks, toys, leashes, and any amenity. Super friendly, great products, and a perfect place to buy a gift.

This shop is a wonderful place to pick up unusual toys and snacks for your pets. Their cookies look just like people food, but my dog was so glad they were for her. This is the only place we could find frisbees with a hole in the center so that our Golden Retriever could carry it around like a halo. She loved them so much and we are hoping to train our new pup the same way. It's such an enjoyable place to stop. I know you won't leave empty handed.

I stopped into this pet store for the first time after driving by many times. I just got a new puppy and wasn't happy with the harness that the shelter gave me. It constantly would come loose and I couldn't figure out how to tighten it for the life of me. I went in and was assisted by two very nice younger women. One of them helped me fit my pup but when I asked if the harness was too loose (because it was already shifting on his body), I was told no that it would give him room to grow into it. It's been sliding all over since and that was my main concern with the other harness. I have tightened it all the way from what I can tell and it is still too loose. I honestly think he needed a size smaller. My other concern was that when fitting him (he's still a puppy mind you), I was asked that he stop biting the reps sweater "because it is from Japan". believe me, I have been trying to curb his chewing. He's a puppy still and we were trying to put a harness on him that he didn't want to wear. If a sweater is that precious to you, you probably shouldn't wear it to work at a pet store. Overall, my experience was mildly pleasant and I do continue to stop in from time to time because the amount of cute treats will draw me back but I wasn't thrilled that my concern of coming in for a loose harness left me spending more money on another ill-fitted loose harness.Update: I just lowered the review a star because my puppy got out of his harness while I was walking him on his leash.

We went yesterday to get a dog collar and thought it would be fun to bring our dog along. There was dog poop lying on the floor, which my daughter unknowingly stepped in. We did see two other dogs through the store while we were there and I’m positive it wasn’t my dog’s poop since she was by my side the whole time we were in that vicinity, but the owner made sure to go out his way to blame it on her anyways. These people are jerks. The big box stores are more friendly and not a bunch of weirdos.And yet the response below speaks to the elitist attitude. Glad you went the extra step to check the cameras. What a welcoming, pleasant place. You made a would-be patron uncomfortable. Just own it.

We were so excited to check this place out with our puppy and to let him “pick out” some birthday presents. The place was huge and had a great selection of pet supplies. As soon as we went in though, it felt like we weren’t welcome there. The staff member was not outright rude, she asked multiple times if she could help us find anything, but it felt like she was trying to get us out of there. It was just a weird vibe for what I was expecting to be a fun shopping experience with our puppy.It may have just been a bad day for the worker, which is too bad because we were there for the fun experience of shopping and browsing with our puppy. I could have bought the same /similar merchandise online for much less and skipped feeling like I was inconveniencing someone by just walking around the place.I think there is a missed opportunity here; a local shop filled with toys, treats, and cute pet merchandise should have a welcoming atmosphere- it costs nothing to smile and be friendly.

I don’t normally write bad reviews, especially for local businesses, but because myself and others I’ve talked to have had similar, bad experiences at the Pet Pantry I think I should. My partner and I have both been to the store on separate occasions and were met with uncomfortable customer service. We’ve been stared at and watched as we browse. We’ve been followed around the store by employees when we answered that we did not need assistance. We’ve received short, unfriendly responses when we’ve asked questions or complimented inventory. Our dog has food allergies and sensitivities so we need to be careful what we give him, sometimes it takes us a while to look at things and read ingredients. I definitely don’t appreciate being made to feel that my behavior is suspicious when I’m just trying to shop for my pet and I’m sure others don’t either. I appreciate the store, but I will not be returning.

This is the largest independent pet store I've seen. Folks are helpful and three floors of supplies are available. You will get a better buy on food at tractor supply, but, again, this isn't a chain. All mammalian pets are covered to some degree. I even saw a walking harness for rat sized critters - they have it all!
