The pizza here used to be amazing. It was always hand tossed thick crust with plenty of cheese and toppings. Now they make it thin crust with about half the amount of cheese. It’s still good but you are paying the same price for half the amount of pizza. Not worth the cost anymore.

Their food is excellent the majority of the time. The only reason I gave this wonderful place four stars is they shrunk their delicious doughboy to half its normal size. They are still delicious and convenient. I understand that costs continue to rise, for restaurants and that may be a factor.

Food comes out in a timely manner, staff is nice however the fries here tend to be a controversial topic. Some people love them, some people don't. I dislike their normal fries, so I stick with the curly fries which are TO DIE for. Other than that, the food and ice cream are quite good. Good place to get some good ice cream when riding the ATV trails.

Best take-away in the St. John Valley. Ice cream treats are famous, and the dinners are even better. The haddock dinner is fresh, delicious, and ample enough for two. It comes with excellent cole slaw and a roll; get it with the sweet potato fries.

We moved to Eagle Lake in Feb., husband Mike Pelletier grew up there kept telling me this were to go get the best Ice Cream around. This was in winter while watching people on the mountian finally the day came warm enough snow gon we went there & got.wizzards it was the best treated like family there. They only take cash or U will be going next door to use the ATM... lol like us. We sat a& ate to of the owners or workers sat @ another picnic table 6 feet from us. As we went out the door they said Thank you come again. Don't get that much anymore. We will be going back Loved the Ice Cream there & the people. Hopefully the next owners will be just as nice as the place is for sale. They have Doggie cups for ur pet on the store side a lil restaurant with restrooms 🚻. Didn't eat there as it was full but the did follow all COVID 19 RULES. That's why it was full.

I have traveled all over Maine and the U.S.A. and one day I found Al's Tastee Freeze......What a great place to eat. They are number one for the best omelettes in Maine. The service is fast and the place is very clean. You must wear a mask to enter. Linda L. Doyle

They take Canadian at par, so many delicious choices that you need to come back again and again for new flavors. ATV access, so you can get a great lunch/breakfast/even some Lobster. With the movie theatre across the way, it's a slam dunk.

Hit or miss with pizza, one thing discovered is the difference from a large to their 20". They simply spread the dough and ingredients from large to 20".

Went there to get myself some fried clams, sorry no picture ate them so fast they were excellent. Al's have a lot of other excellent foods, scallops, fries, sandwiches, pizza, fried mushrooms, oh wow everything is fantastic, love the workers, great friendly smiles.

Come to visit family annually in Ft. Kent, we always gravitate to Al's.Tasty food, friendly staff and we have always received good service on our trips.The pizza is great and there breakfast is filling.

I went yesturday, and i take Caramel + Pecan + CheeseCake Wizard, the first time i try it but will certainly take it again and again!!! Service is very good, food is also very good. This is a classic trip for us to go at Al's Tastee Freeze in Fort-Kent!!Would i recommend it? Certainly, everyone must go at Al's for a good lunch or a good ice cream!!!!

It's 2021... and you don't accept debit cards at the register... conveniently, you put an atm in the store with a $3.00 charge to get cash to buy food and ice cream... from you.I should've driven to Van Buren...

Everything is great but the only thing is that they keep changing the closing hours from 8 to 9 and back to 8 which we never know when they close. Google says 9 but it is 8
