This store always has friendly staff. Fast service and easy to find goods, also ready to eat microwavable meals for one. The lasinaga, spaghetti, and the pulled chicken, I recommend. Also, their meat is cut fresh daily.

Absolutely love this store all of the staff members are super friendly and if they don’t have something you’re looking for if you let them know they will try their best to order it …this store is definitely one of my top 3 favorites

Great small grocery store conveniently located in the downtown Farmington area. Wonderful sale items are available. Look up the flyer online, but be sure it is the Farmington one. Flyers vary from location to location.

Great in town market with an old-school feel. Quaint atmosphere and friendly staff. Well stocked groceries with meat and deli counter. Local products as well!

Parking can be difficult. The inside is outdated and they don't have a very big selection. This is the place you go when you realize you've run out of something and just need a little to hold you over, or if you didn't plan dinner and you're broke and this is the closest store. They're stuff is fresh though. And the staff are nice. You can find some things here that you can't find elsewhere.

Great store, with a great selection at reasonable prices. The only way I could see someone considering this an over-priced grocer is if they only shop at places like save-a-lot. This store has excellent quality meats, veggies and fruit. I've stopped in multiple times a week this summer to stock up on food, and I have yet to be disappointed with a deal! Truly love this one-in-a-million local grocer :)This review was made when the store was trantens. Three years later it is now food city and I do not know the quality of their service.

Parking can be a challenge at times as the municple parking lot behind the establishment is shared by many businesses. The location is wheelchair accessible and they practice CDC guidelines for COVID.There is a deli in the back, a plethora of items to choose from and the store is always clean and well-organized. Their book-swap-and-share feature is what sets them apart from other grocers. They have convenient store prices even though they are a grocery store. This is a big short coming. These steep prices are somewhat balanced out by the reasonable deli prices.

Great local grocery. Huge selection of micro brews. Meat prices are extremely reasonable and the meat is packaged in small packages. An excellent selection of fresh produce, baked goods etc. Lots of local Maine made products as well. Support a local family and shop here!

I had my doubts about Food City because often small local grocery stores have spotty produce, borderline meat, and a limited selection of baked goods... This store defied all of those expectations. Their deli prices are less than at the big grocery store down the street, the meat was fresh, the produce was often organic and local but never stale, and in addition to carrying several kinds of bread and baked goods by local bakers, they also bake all butter croissants in house :-)

Great variety and super friendly staff. A bonus for local residents because of the variety of foods available. Ethnic selections and options that are nearly impossible to find in other small markets of this size. The commitment to variety is commendable....unfortunately the prices here are high and if you are buying a lot of groceries it would pay you to drive to Farmington or Skowhegan.

The hours are ridiculous in Farmington. They always close too early (6PM) which leaves no time to go there after college and work. Some of the employees are burnt out and it shows. Their food selection is fine if you don’t need too much, but overall fairly small. The produce is often bruised. They have alright prices, I just wish this place was open for regular business hours. Most grocery stores are open until 8 or even 10–even the food city in Wilton (only 20 minutes away by car) is open until 8.

Food City is easily accessible from downtown Farmington with a plentiful selection, at least for a small town bodega. The staff are really relaxed and personable. I can walk here from UMF easily, choose my groceries, checkout, and walk back in under 30 minutes. Price is cheap for quality of products. I recommend for anyone who can't easily access Hannaford or Walmart.

Great small friendly grocery outlet for around town, friendless 5/5, organization 4/5, price 5/5. Love the vibes the place gives off.

Overpriced, terrible produce selection. Rude staff. Rule number one of customer service do not interrogate your customers. If you offer cash back, don't restrict it's availability. Either offer cash back or not at all. I'm not coming back, I will take all my business to Hannaford.

I wouldn’t recommend. Everyone was either having a bad day, or it’s just the way the employees in this store are. The cashier was very rude. Stop here all the time for my condo groceries. Definitely won’t be stopping anymore.

This is a small store in Kingfield, Maine. It is mainly groceries but it does over other items. I really like this small town store. Clean, quality meat, just really nice

Friendly staff, convenient for living in town of you don't want to drive. Great prices on generics, convenience store prices on name brands.

Lovely people, always helpful. Good veggies. Prices are quite fair considering what the store must pay in rent for a downtown space.

Fresh today although not every day does everything look good. Prices are a little high but good variety for such a small Mom and Pop store!

IMO this place has a better selection of meat than either Hannafords or Walmart. I believe it is all locally sourced.
