We took our 6 1/2 month old puppy to Soggy Dog for her first grooming. They did a beautiful job on her without traumatizing her. As her puppy coat is beginning to fall out, she was developing fur mats. We love her shaggy coat and were afraid we would pick up a shaved, unrecognizable pup. Instead, they had cleaned out the mats and combed out her fur and she is still the goofy-cute, happy pup we love.

My Bernedoodle always looks fantastic after his grooming appointments. His body language is also very telling that he didn’t have any anxiety or fear inducing experiences. He is a happy handsome dog and I am a happy pawrent! Love their attention to detail and cleanliness of the shop. 100% recommended!

I loved Arianna who groomed my 11 year old Husky Mix (Luna). She made time for us as our previous groomer was not good. I am grateful for Arianna’s patience and attitude throughout the whole process. My pup is sweet but she will complain non-stop during grooming so patience is the key. I have already made my next appointment. Thank you so much.

Went in at 8am to get my pup groomed. Mathew the owner was so rude to me. First he said we are not a boarding facility so you can’t go to your doctors appointment. I told him I would be back by 1115-1130am. His reply, I’ll make this one exception. After that, he said in the future we don’t do big dogs in the morning next time book your appointment after 230pm. I said not my problem, I didn’t book the appointment your worker did. The booking said poodle. I was so upset that I called my doctors office and told them the situation. I also couldn’t leave my pup in the car. This is not the first time the owner Mathew has been rude to me. When they first opened, I took my pup in for self wash and my pup had an accident on one of the rugs. He went crazy on me. I feel sorry for the employees. I would go back, however I wouldn’t because of Mathew the owner. If you can’t deal with the public this is not the right business for you, plus you way over charge to shave a poodle. 150.00. Never again.

Our dog Bella had her first appointment at Maine Soggy Dog and it was great. The staff is very friendly and Raven did an amazing job grooming Bella. The location is very convenient, right next to Shaws on Rt 1 in Falmouth. I would highly recommend Maine Soggy Dog for all your dogs grooming needs!

My dog is a rescue so I am very particular about who he sees.Ariana always gives him the best care! She is also very talented at what she does. I used to book with her at Loyal Companion until they recently closed, so this was my first experience at Soggy Dog.The staff was very sweet and the establishment was very clean and had a great vibe. I felt very safe leaving my pup in their hands and will be booking with Ariana again in the future !

1/2/2024 - I will continue to sing the praises of Maine Soggy Dog and their groomers. We have a new groomer now, Rayven, who does a wonderful job on Eliza. Eliza can be fidgety and maybe not the best at sitting still but she always comes back looking great and is also always super happy to go walking into MSD with Rayven, that says a lot. Thank you!2/1/2020 - I am continually thrilled with the service I receive at Maine Soggy Dog. My dog, Eliza, can get very anxious being away from home but Jessica does everything she can to help keep her calm and does a fabulous job with her grooming. She always looks so wonderful when she's finished! I would happily recommend Jessica and Maine Soggy Dog to anyone!So happy to have found Maine Soggy Dog! Jessica does a fabulous job on our Eliza, and I know it’s not an easy thing to do because Eliza is very challenging. Matthew has been nothing but kind and helpful and offered suggestions to help with Eliza’s grooming anxiety. I love that they don’t crate the dogs during their groom and she is always finished in 2 hours. I would highly recommend Maine Soggy Dog to anyone I know looking for a groomer!

I am posting this review as a warning. I have brought my almost 16 yo gentle sweet boy to Soggy Dog 3x in the past 5 months. At the last two grooming appointments two different groomers injured my dog. Neither told me until I questioned them. The first groomer removed a thick scab that had formed over a growth causing a open bloody sore. I had to take my dog to the vet the next morning & treat him with antibiotics. This groomer did apologize when I sent her photos & stated she would not remove scabs in the future. She is currently not working at Soggy Dog. The groomer my dog had this past week nicked a growth on his foot that I took the time to show her & asked her to be careful with that foot & leg. She also managed to cut a nail or two(!) on that same foot to the quick- too short. I was told at the register the groomer nicked the growth on his foot but "it was no big deal" I spoke to the groomer on the phone before pick up & she did not mention this or the nail incident. When I walked my dog out to our vehicle he was bleeding profusely from that foot, trailing blood through the parking lot. A lot of blood. I took photos, carefully placed in car- wiped up blood & went back to talk to groomer. She first did not acknowledge she had cut nails too short- then stated she had cut a nail too short & that was probably causing bleeding. There is more that is disturbing. The owner was not present did call me after about an hour- & agreed to refund grooming & grooming deposit for next appointment. I am never going back. The groomer who hurt my dog did not apologize. The owner brought up "policy" that I had signed off on that states dogs can get nicked if matted etc. My dog was not matted. I took the time & even wrote down the 3 areas to watch out for. Groomer told me she didn't need note- she could see the growths. I am glad the owner refunded this latest grooming appointment- should have had #2 refunded as well. The refund barely covers the vet appointment, antibiotics, additional supplies to take care of injured area & PAIN the groomer(s) caused my dog. There has been major turnover with groomers here. None of the groomers who are in the positive reviews currently work at Soggy Dog. I have no idea what the qualifications of the last groomer are- she clearly is not suited for this work. The owner assured me before this groom that all would be ok with new groomer. I regret returning.

It’s a very clean and well kept establishment. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly. Danielle groomed my 9 month old Pomeranian puppy and she did a wonderful job! I didn’t use the self service stations, but they looked like they would be easy and efficient to use. Plus there are so many cute toys and other items to purchase. Loved the whole experience!! Thank you!

The salon is easy to get to with plenty of parking and the space is bright, clean and colorful. Receptionist and the groomer were professional and polite and the groomer said our dog loved her visit and seeing other doggy friends. I'd love to try the self washing spaces- what a great idea! I'm glad we have a business like this locally.

Took my dog here today for a walk in nail trim. Worst job I've ever seen on his nails, a couple completely missed, some ragged, all cut at random angles. 20 bucks plus tip.

A friend dropped Logan off and Jessica (the groomer) called to ask me what my preferences were. Logan was taken at the time of the appointment and called my friend 30 minutes prior to pick up. Soggy Dog is well organized and run with kindness and people who love what they do. I waited a few months for an appointment, but it was worth it. Logan looked the best he ever has after 10 years of grooming! I highly recommend Soggy Dog and Jessica to anyone looking for a place to groom your dog.

I followed my groomer, Donna, to Maine Soggy Dog. The place is very clean, very well appointed. The appointment process, on line, is easy and efficient. The rest of the staff seem to care. I love Donna. She is so good and caring to my dog. If she chose to work at Maine Soggy Dog, it must be a good place. I was very happy with this grooming and will continue to go there.

The first time visiting Maine Soggy Dog to use their self-serve dog wash, was such a great experience, I brought my daughter and her dog the second visit. The third visit I met one of the owners (I think) who informed me about their grooming service. We made a appointment online. It was easy, fast, and I love being able to make appointments online. Jessica was our groomer and she was so friendly upon greeting us with a big smile the whole time, I had no hesitation in leaving my dog in her hands. Upon picking my dog up, it was no surprise Jessica did an absolute fantastic job! Keeping in mind I own a lot of dog! A 90 lb Bernese Mountain Dog. We thank everyone at Maine Soggy Dog from Saige at the front desk to Jessica and all the others who have been so patient and graciously kind.

Love this shop/groomer. Everything is SPOTLESS!! We tried them this past Sunday because our old groomer moved and their location became inconvenient for us. So glad we tried Soggy Dog - we’ve found our new groomers. My dog is a terrier poodle mix. She looks awesome, smells wonderful, and the trim around her face is just the way we like it :) Also love that this place will do anal glands. Saves us an extra trip to the vet.

Very easy to schedule grooming online. Alyssa does a great job with our dog and we’ve been coming to soggy dog since we first got him. We have used the self serve baths after beach outings and they work perfectly. Very happy.l customer. The owner is very friendly and great to chat with.

I've taken my pup to Soggy Dog on several occasions for a full groom. Each groomer has been very professional in terms of skill and talent. And most importantly, they have treated my Bobo with affection and playfulness. He loves to go there.Matthew (at the front desk) answers all of my questions and always has suggestions that are helpful.The new online reservation system is great - you can see when appointments are available (and with which groomer) and can sign up.I love this place and highly recommend it!

Great groomers but really disappointed to drive a total of 45min there and back only to find out that my appt was cancelled and no one bothered to call before hand..m Really disappointed in that, definitely would’ve expected a call. It was only my second time coming to Soggy Dog after being highly recommended by someone and it’s upsetting to not have that good communication.I will keep going because I loved my dogs first cut but really unhappy customer today. I am fully understanding that things come up so I’m not upset about that but to drive 45+ min for nothing really sucks. They did reschedule fairly quickly within a couple of weeks from my cancelled date so I will keep going and hope for better communication in the future.

Maine Soggy Dog is a special place for dogs. It is conveniently located and the place is beautiful, spotless, and ultra modern. Staff are professional and very accommodating. Grooming is consistently top notch and our pups come home looking fantastic. I highly recommend them.

My mini Aussie had been neglected a bit in terms of brushing and nails for a few months when we had our baby. We took her in to Maine Soggy Dog (she had never been professionally groomed) and she came out looking like a new pup! Beautiful job getting rid of her mat behind her ear and cleaning up her feet and nails. She came out in great spirits! Highly recommend!

Went to Soggy Dog for the 1st time this weekend and it was great! First class all the way. Very clean and well organized. Fee included shampoo, towels, skin conditiiner and ear cleaning supplies. Also has a nice retail section for leashes, collars, etc. We also met the owner, Matthew, who was very friendly and helpful. He definitely takes pride in his business.
